I would bet on earth signs, but it works only for me. I'm Virgo and a very tactile person so earth signs do for me. But I really didn't proove it lately since I'm in a long relationship with a Scorpio (my Moon is in Scorpio, too so I seem to call them) & few days ago I was with a new person after a 7 years, and it was Scorpio, too. I really dig Virgos. In my own twisted way.
I find Virgos obsessive, controlling, judgmental, and...frustratingly attractive. I have had very deep reactions to a lot of people who turned out to be Virgos. I'm not astrologically obsessed, but I have Virgo 8th House (with Moon conjunct Uranus, and Pluto there). Don't know if that has some interpretive explanation for this.
I might not get along with most...and I might not understand them, but...god help me, I have this visceral reaction to them that's permeated with sexual tension.
But from what I hear, Virgos and Aquarians don't (or are not SUPPOSED to) get along.
I think relationships are a lot more complicated than suns and moons. But that's me.

The signs one finds are the best lovers depends in part on your own chart. Why? Because your own likes/dislikes are involved, as well as the type of people you attract.

That last phrase deserves expanding upon. Each of us attracts certain types of people, and would never attract certain other types. Because of this, you can't really say that all Scorpios, or all Taureans, or whatever, are the best lovers. (It is literally impossible for you to have made it with every single member of a certain sign on earth, although I know a few people who are working hard at the attempt.) Anyway, within a certain sign, there are sub-categories, and further sub-sub-categories.....so that you could say that the Scorpios (or Taureans, or whatever) that you have taken to bed are the best lovers.....but you might find that if fate throws you together with a member of a different type of Scorpio class, or Taurean (whatever your favorite sign), you may conclude that person is totally out of character and not typical of that sign.....when in truth, they are just not the type you had been sleeping with.

What do I mean by sub-categories? Well, for starters, there is the person's Venus sign, which can be in one of five signs (the Sun sign, or one of the two signs before or after it.) Thus a Scorpio Sun can have Venus in Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius or Capricorn....and trust me, these are 5 different types of Scorpios when it comes to intimacy.
Then there is the Mars sign.....you can have Mars in any one of the 12 signs. A Scorpio with Mars in Taurus is quite different than a Scorpio with Mars in Gemini, for example.

Now, to answer Angela's question with my personal opinion, based on my own experiences....
First, I must say that I've never had the good fortune to sleep with a Cancerian woman. I have some wonderful female friends, some who are extremely attractive.....but there has never been any sexual chemistry....so I can't speak personally about how good a lover Cancerians are.
I have had at least one lover in every other sign, some more than others (7 Aquarian women have shared my bed, or blanket, or seat in the movie theater, 4 Pisceans and 3 Sagittarians). You might think I have found Aquarians the best lovers, else why would I keep getting involved with them. But the in truth, these lovers varied as much as if they were from 7 different signs.

The three best lovers so far in my life all had Mars in fixed signs. There was an Aquarius with Mars in Leo, a Sagittarius with Mars in Leo, and a Virgo with Mars in Taurus. I can't say which of the three was THE best, because they were so different in so many ways, that trying to compare them is almost like trying to compare apples to oranges.
The Aquarius and the Virgo were the most innovative, most interested in experimenting, trying new things, least inhibited. (Virgo with Mars in Taurus, you ask, surprised? Well, she also had Venus conjunct Uranus in Libra.) The Aquarian had Venus in Sagittarius.
And the Sagittarian, while not as uninhibited, was the most intensely passionate woman I've ever been with, and made me feel like a god in the bedroom. She had Venus in Scorpio.

I've been blessed by never having been with a 'bad' lover, although some were much, much more into it than others....and some much less
experienced than others. (The one Taurus lover I had became fabulous in bed over time, gradually. But in her defense, I was only her second lover....she had married her first, spent many years in bed with a very self-centered husband, and did not receive any encouragement in bed from that guy, so she did not truly discover the joys of lovemaking until she left him.)

Well, I'm a Pisces and unfortunately for me my best lovers have been Virgos. Even when I hate them, the physical chemistry is crazy. The hilarious thing is, when thinking about this question, I wrote down all the lovers I've been with and their sun signs, and more than half were Virgo. I think I need to broaden my horizons. Sounds like a good experiment.

Whatever works for everyone. I believe virgos get the best lovers but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're the best . in my experience, the best lover is aquarius. they truly are the best in everything I look for in a lover. said by a picky scorpio lol. I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with that aquarius is in my 8th house, my moon is in my 11th house, 8th house ruler conjunct venus and other three planets in the 6th.

Does natal Pluto in the 8th house mean I find doing taxes arousing?

I enjoy 3rd decan Scorpios, preferably with a Lunar Aries and Scorpio Pluto, if they have a Venus in Sagitarius this is preferable - I find that Mars placement seems to matter very little as I'm always the one on top so its not like they are in control anyway, yes? I figure this configuration would be the best, at least for my personal needs - Saturn in Cappy is a nice plus too, and a prominent Uranus (hopefully somewhere mid-pisces) is nice, as it suggests more of an eccentric openness (butt, anyone?).

This configuration was compiled by much "trial and error" (har har) experimentation on my part.
