Re: Obama's chart?
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 9:18 AMMy problem with Obama is that he seems to see himself as our savior. I'm not sure that I can stomach another Leo, or any candidate who takes the stage with some anthemic rock music blaring in the background. Also, his policy positions are fairly specific if you look at his web site, but when he talks he's almost pure glamour and rhetoric and practically no substance. I resent politicians who try to sell us their image over their substance --and ones who won't admit that our problems are in fact greater than their individual ability to solve them.
On the other hand, he does present a pleasant image, which is more than can be said for any of the others besides Romney, and our image could use some help. Obama is the Democrats' Romney --innoffensive image and a whole lotta reality not being acknowledged. Frankly, I'm not confident that either Hillary or Obama can beat McCain, while either of them should easily trash Romney. McCain looks likely to win on the basis of his "straight talk" and a relatively consistent track record in office (even if we may not agree with most of it), but I wouldn't rule out Obama because of the popularity of his "position" on the war and because he's a lot more telegenic than any of he other candidates. I just wish he didn't remind me so much of a game show host.
The bottom line is that if the American People deserved a wise and dignified president, we'd have come up with one at some point in ythe past 100 years. It's more likely that we still deserve to get screwed, and all of the mainstream candidates seem quite well poised to facilitate the process. -

Re: Obama's chart?
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 9:32 AMI think the savior image is an act. I see his performance as a style for getting attention. What he does with that attention I think will differ due to his Saturn conjunct Jupiter which, to me, marks him as a thoughtful, not thoughtless, individual. Though he has four planets in Leo, his North Node is also in Leo and so he is more like an upstart performer than just another grossly inflated ego burlesque. Obama is from the Pluto in Virgo generation and is smarter than that. I also think it's time Generation X took the reins from the Baby Boomers. -

Re: Obama's chart?
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 10:48 AMI have a movie short idea. Starts w/ the train pulling into town, balloons, people, band, Pomp ect.
Fat man in 3 piece suit, gold pocket watch and chain. “I promise to……I’m going to work for the common man……” cheers from the crowd. The Big Show.
The character turns and enters his train, A time mixing occurs as he walks through all his “People” fixing his outfit, prepping his hair, cameras, an advisor telling him what to say,
Image consultant giving him posture suggestion, Speech writers handing him speeches to read, the general chaos of all the handlers as he walks through an ever changing travel unit, Plane, Train, horse and carriage, Space ship.
His face changing all the while to suit an image.
More to it, but that’s the idea.
Stevo- ya, hate to agree, but we do usually ask for and get the guy that looks good on TV, more than the guy or gal for that matter w/ substance. It’s all a Show, and even more now w/ world wide real time video.
Do you know the mind set of a lot of working class mid Am. people, that voted for little Bush. The stumbling over words, stupid looks, they were attracted to this. Gore seemed arrogant, “I like him cause he’s just like me, a simple guy”.eeeegads…
The whole show is twisting already though, soo..
It’s back to the lesser of two evils now.
Also It’s a Big chair and requires a good Image to sit there, a good looking kindly Face on a banner would really be nice for a change.
Any of them have to hire good people to accomplish something though.
But like any good Team or Show, It helps to have a Star in our world.
I HATE Politicks..!!.on any level, but it’s something you can’t escape......

i'm pluto in virgo 12*. when i first heard about the concept of gen exers, it seemed that they (the people that made it up) were talking about the kids that were born in the early 70's - they were in their 20's when computers came onto the scene and grunge music was all the rage.
boomers are kids that were born post WW2, when the economic boom was happening in the late 40's and early 50's, america was the beacon of civility with no gangs, crime - the suburbs came alive.
that leaves the kids born in the 60's kind of in the middle. personally i don't relate to boomers at all - i'm good with computers, not afraid of technology and love grunge music. yet i have friends younger than me who relate to boomer mentality way better.
i found this onlne, i think its from a few years ago b/c the dates are off by a few years. one value they did not add for the gen-xers is environmentalism, and how it has basically taken root in mainstream culture when the xers came of age :

Re: Obama's chart?
Tue, January 22, 2008 - 8:40 PMhere's another site i found. this fits me (and probably lots of us 60's kids) to a T
www.jamesshuggins.com/h/hum1/...omer.htm
You're Lost Between a Baby Boomer and a Gen X'er If . . .
You remember when Jordache jeans were cool.
In your fifth grade class picture you were wearing an Izod shirt with the collar up.
You know by heart the words to any Weird Al Yankovic song.
You ever rang someone's doorbell and said "Landshark!"
Three words: Atari, IntelliVision and Coleco, sound familiar.
You remember Friday Night Videos before the days of MTV.
A predominant color in your childhood photos is plaid.
While in high school, you and your friends discussed elaborate plans to get together again at the end of the century and play Prince's "1999" until you passed out partying.
You remember when music that was labeled alternative, really was alternative.
You took family trips before the invention of the minivan.
You rode in the back of the station wagon and you faced the cars behind you.
You've recently horrified yourself by using any one of the following phrases:
When I was younger...
When I was your age...
You know, back when...
Schoolhouse Rock played a huge part in how you actually learned the English language
You dressed to emulate a person you saw in either a Duran Duran, Madonna or Cyndi Lauper video.
The first time you ever kissed someone at a dance came during "Crazy for You," by Madonna.
You remember with pain the sad day when the Green Machine hit the streets and made our old Big Wheel quite obsolete.
The phrase "Where's the beef," still doubles you over with laughter.
You honestly remember when film critics raved that no movie could ever possibly get better special effects than those in the movie TRON.
You miss Ted the photographer on The Love Boat.
Your hair at some point in time in the 80's became something which can only be described by the phrase, "I was experimenting".
You've ever shopped at a Benetton, but not in the last 5 years.
You're starting to believe now that maybe having the kids go to school year round wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.
You're doing absolutely nothing pertaining to your major.
U2 is too popular and mainstream for you now. -

I think that's a bit later 60's
Levis. T-shirts and light wool shirts.
Grunge style cloths was invented by my age.
Landshark,,,LOL ok Did that.
Hide and seek?? couldn't do that 5 years later.
Of cource you can't generalize all of it.
But I remember tie dye as something friends got togeather and did to sell and make a few bucks.
Now I find then in stores "made in china". Still a few old scholl artist left, I get them for my kids night shirts..
I agree with the "Identify w/ both, but not part of either..part.
Have any memories of being little, naked and lots of hippies around??
I do.
"Friday Night Videos before the days of MTV."
Oh hell ya. Twilight zone, night gallery,
And it is cool to see a rise in conservation, health, ect that I guess our generation started.
So Obama Chart? How about Gen L
And maybe this Middle Ground is even better.
Take us from the old school power structure to who knows.
10 years of pluto traveling through Cap.

the difference here is that this guy actually has something going on behind it
In response to some other folks:
McCain( I want to see his chart) says we could stay in Iraq for a hundred more years for all he cares
there are many conservatives who are fiscal conservatives and they won't vote for that
i like his honesty, but i wouldn't vote for that either no matter what, enough debt and dead bodies already
all that is if the elections aren't to be fixed in a certain way anyways.....

ZODIAC AGAINST SUPERSTITION
Copyright (c) 2008 by Klaudio Zic, all rights reserved. www.lulu.com/astrology
WHY IS YOUR HOROSCOPE MISCALCULATED
Since all horoscopes on this planet are miscalculated, there are many errors in your horoscope, too. In fact, there is so much error that it is better to totally discard your old horoscope, instead of giving it a second glance. The three main errors in your horoscope are intimated as follow.
1 The zodiacs in general use were arbitrary, as they had nothing to with the real sky. This applies to eastern and western astrology; tropical, Vedic or sidereal alike. For the general purpose of estimation, the error is that of two constellations or two signs. In order to illustrate the amount of error, our standard example shows sun in Libra on November 23rd (Sai Baba's birthday)*.
2 The ascendant is not updated for precession. The ascendant shares a "two sign" error. If you were born with Pisces rising across the eastern horizon, you were liable to be considered "Capricorn" for a lifetime. The psychological impact as applied to a large biomass renders catastrophic results as people go around not knowing who they are1.
3 The houses are miscalculated†. Astrologers were at odds with astronomy and mathematics. They have devised many useless house systems with flaws and uncertainties. Which one of the 50 house systems will you use? Our tip is: use none of them! The Night & Day house system reflects the sky exactly as you observe it2.
THE DAWN OF THE ZODIAC
Our interest in the zodiac dates back towards the years of the great transneptunian discoveries, most prominently 1992 QB1, Varuna and Eris‡, but it was not the dwarf planets, centaurs or giant comets that inspired our zodiacal research, in fact, it was the moon. It was with moon in Sextans that our interest for the zodiac was stirred. One of our students was asked whether he could estimate the location of his natal moon§. Was it Leo or perhaps Cancer? It was neither Leo nor Cancer! The moon was in Sextans.
NUMBERS
As concern numbers it is easy to remember that the zodiac has 22 constellations while the present ascendant set has 16 rising constellations. The facts are against superstition as comfortably based on scientific evidence. The "12 sign = 12 ascendants" superstition is a matter of the past.

1 False ego is the personal devil's install. The devil is the lord of lies. Curiously educated people tend to lean on superstition rather than NASA.
2 In fact it reflects even alien skies exactly as aliens observe them. The Night & Day house system was tested on spacecraft, alien solar systems and planetocentric astrology. It works at every altitude, analyses undersea quakes along with 2002 AW197, penetrates every corner of the universe and is comparatively simple to use.

† Divorce was suggested by a "7th house Neptune" when Neptune occupied the 6th house of the horoscope. Much mischief was done along this line with many house systems as accomplices. Eris was precisely setting to the minute when the WTC was hit but the superstitious horoscope will hardly show this fact, much as it can not show moon in Orion for the WTC and Usama bin Liden. The best is that the authorities in the field can not help you much; ask Galileo, Kepler or Nostradamus...
‡ There is quite a time span between the discoveries of the first cubewano and major dwarf planet Eris.
§ It is easy to prove that astrologers were not sure at all bout their own natal sun placement in the past 5000 years. Precession was (and still is) unknown to charlatans who simply count(ed) on superstition for their mean business. It happens that all of the horoscopes on this planet, west or east, are miscalculated. -

Re: Obama's chart?
Mon, March 3, 2008 - 1:05 PMObama's true birth time has never been correctly eatablished. Nobody knows it for sure, but it's obvious that his LEO Sun is jointed with other LEOness type planets which make him a "show-man" and extremely arrogant. His August 4th birthday is 3 days after the Solar Eclipse in the sign of LEO. A Solar Eclipse means that the Sun is like the window shade being pulled down on the LEO SUN and probably on Obama's sunshine too!, Also this Eclipse could effect the stock market negatively also! -

Re: Obama's chart?
Tue, March 4, 2008 - 10:34 AMI have been playing around with it and find that a Libra Rising chart works really well. But I have only limited knowledge of his life. With Libra, the Ascendant lord Venus goes to the 10th house of career. Also, that Leo Sun which is also very important to career is strongly placed in the 11th house. Saturn in the 4th in Capricorn creates a special yoga in jyotish called a sashi yoga that gives perseverance and patience, basically the ability to never give up until you arrive at your goal.

Re: Obama's chart?
Wed, March 5, 2008 - 9:51 PMAnyone wonder why Obama seems reluctant to fight back? It seems his sidereal Sun and Merc both in the sign of Cancer. Clinton's 'toughness' might come from her Mars and Saturn pretty close and in Cancer too. her Arudah lagna also conjuncts this Mars Saturn conjunction mirroring her image. This also gives her the ability to 'capricornise' her emotions.
If the time for Obama is taken as 9.06 am as some say his Shadbala Sun strength is around 136, highest compared to all his other planets. Going by 1.06 pm it skyrockets though since Sun gets the Dikbala of the 10th house, more than 200!
Barack sure needs that to stand up to a more machivellian opponent. Clinton also has Jup and Ketu in Scorpio in rasi, Sun in Sag in first house in navamsa, along with a Exalted mars there. Mars is her strongest Shadbla score planet as per 8 pm birth time. Merucry with 8 am time. Bill with a sidereal Sun Leo and moon Aries, pretty fiery with a very low saturn shadbala score, also has a towering sun shadbala strength of more than 200 along with ketu in Scorp.
Clinton also has moon Scorp in her D 10 the career chart. Even with all that powerful Sun force can Obama survive this double Clintonian assault with their Scorp elements ready to attack while his Cancerian sun tries to play a peaceful game ? I doubt it.
Both obama and clinton however have a very weak shadbala score for Jup. The only way to still make up for a good judgement for Obama would be that his Jup is retro and in Capricorn. Some vedic folks believe that this makes it exalted. It can also mean the ability to relate with the masses.
Also wondering about this poll, focus group pandering tendency of Clinton. In the debate they asked what will they do about Al -Quaida in Iraq. Hillary ducked it while Obama took a stand. Whether it's right or not is another issue. But he seems to have an ability to answer questions with an open mind, questions which fall in the unchartered territory. There's a streak of taking a bold stance and coming up with original ideas. Perhaps that comes with a strong Sun. Hillary sidereally has a debilitated Sun. Although some say the venus in own house there cancels that debility and causes a neechabhanga. While she can fight well, at least in elections, Obama has the second strongest planet in shadbala scores as Saturn, making him more serious and held back. Michelle has a sidereal Sun capricorn and no wonder she keeps reminding him to put the butter back in the fridge. But can she help him win this one?
Astrologically perhaps he is better suited to handle a 3 am phone call ?Please post your opinions on this. But I doubt if he will reach there, at least as a President, unless he finds some cancerian way of fighting scorpio like opponent(s).

Wed, March 5, 2008 - 10:30 PMMy bookmarks got mixed up and just realized I've posted onto a regular astro tribe and not the jyotish tribe. My apologies. The perspective here is from sidereal/vedic astrology. Hope you enjoy anyway.

Re: Obama's chart?
Thu, May 29, 2008 - 9:26 AMShiv, am not familiar with this kind of Astrology, but your points appear to be valid.
"This also gives her the ability to 'capricornise' her emotions."
There's no doubt Hillary Clinton can go toe-to-toe with the devil himself. Down side is she tends to polarize issues, rather than compromise.
"Barack sure needs that to stand up to a more machiavellian opponent. "
If he gets the nomination, he will get the chance.
Can Obama, withstand the well organized, well funded, and well rested, no-holds-barred Republican juggernaut waiting at the end of the tunnel? I see some doubt he can.
His staff and supporters climbed the wall when Clinton quoted - correctly, it turned out - an AP pole.
How will Obama, and they, fair against am opponent committed to not simply to winning, but to his destruction.

Obama might seem reluctant to fight back because he doesn't want to fight against a fellow Democrat unlike Hillary who does.
Obama will definitely fight back hard against McCain.

BARACK OBAMA
the horoscope

CONSIDERATIONS
The horoscope for Barck Obama has been made out of curiosity1 end of May 2008, thus we are late for a detailed campaign horoscopy this year. As all data are astronomical, they will not confirm to the popular astrological programs, thus, e.g. Obama has Moon in the 6th house of the people, nicely aligned with Voodoo Venus in Orion :|:::| as a classical example of fertile and innovative approach according to I Ching Aspectarian standards.
VOODOO CHILD
A Mercury Saturn opposition is often omen of black magick2. A tyrant has no luck in life as probably under occult attack at all times, thus prone to repeat the errors of his enemies. We could say that he is damned by birth. Can we trust him? No, not at all. He is a liar like the rest3, only more foxy and that's all. He lies even to his own self. With Mercury square Neptune, this man would ruin the country in weeks. Further analysis of the horoscope is quite unnecessary. This is a dangerous man who is in turn endangered. There are plots within plots, a never ending chain of traps behind this candidature.

1We used the first birth time as available on the Internet, that is an estimation 13:06. If the American astrologers agree upon this time and the time of birth of their nation, who are we to disagree?
2LILIT VERA or Cassini Lilith is helpful in further analysis. At any rate the aspect is one of a tyrant.
3An unremarkable horoscope with many flaws. The man just knows how to lie for the time being, that's all. -

Who, Klaudio? I don't know if he's dangerous, but he's
definitely a nut job.
