Hello...I'm somewhat new. I've been lurking around and posting some here and there. However, nobody here really knows me in any sense, so I thought I would post my birth chart as sort of an introduction.
For those that are annoyed by people who request readings, rest assured that's not what I'm doing. I've been studying my own chart for some time, and I pretty aware of what everything means in it - I'm no newbie to astrology, just to this board. Feel free to comment on anything or ask a question about something in it - however, it's not the main purpose. =)

Sun, September 2, 2007 - 2:10 AMHi, Hannah. And thanks for posting your chart.
I must say, I am curious to know how your generation will shape up - looks like a powwrful one, with that Uranus-Neptune. -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:49 AMOh, wow. That's a lot of Sagittarius energy, mixed with Capricorn...how do you think it affects you? It seems like it would almost be a tug-and-pull effect, since the two energies are pretty different from one another. And in your 2nd and 3rd - an Aries and Gemini undertone, perhaps? Or maybe your possessions and money, as well as communications are important in your life?
Sorry, I had to comment on that. Your chart is pretty interesting. =) -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 1:08 PMCapricorn follows Sagittarius in the cycle of the zodiac, so it's more of a flowing relationship than one would think. It's the semi-sextile aspect, so there is an understanding there. Capricorn grounds and structures the philosophy developed in Sagittarius, for one thing. Sag provides the inspiration for what we decide to commit to as the structure and public role of our lives, so even though they are very different, they (try to) work together in the whole process.

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:52 AMI'm curious as well...I feel like the fact that Neptune and Uranus (as well as Saturn) are in Capricorn, it almost fuels a change from within slowly rather than a radical change - much more effective (in my opinion) and less likely to receive rejection. So it'll be interesting to see how that works out as time progresses. -

It seems like a contradictory combination too, wanting tradition, yet continually wanting to undermine/overthrow/redefine it. A while back, I saw a programme about a group pf 10-year-olds, who must have had that conjunction: they seemed incredibly worldly and precocious for their age.
I just missed a Uranus/Pluto square, Uransus in Leo, Neptune in Scorpio with an orb of about 8 or 9 degrees. I think that was a moderately rebellious generation, some of the ones afterwards seemed pretty bland anyway. -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 1:02 PMThe generation of Uranus/Neptune capricorn with Scorpio in Pluto come into this world with a sense of tradition it is not taught to them but rather it is instinctive . I haven't seen where any wanted to "undermind" or "over throw" I have not seen that trypical of this generation . I know a lot of people who are teens or young adults with that placement and I feel as though I am in the company of a generation who are genuine and very conscious . Some have aquarius satrurn and while some with capricorn still there is something special in how they relate to others and such they are not easily broadsided by nonesense .

Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:44 AMIs there a problem? Because I see no issues with introducing myself with my chart. However, if anybody else has a problem with it, it would be nice if they make the choice to not reply at all. I can do well without negativity and mocking comments, thanks. -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 5:25 PMHi Hannah!
No problem with me!
Here is my chart:
people.tribe.net/pi314/pho...b72e909038
I joined astrology.tribe to understand that uranus midpoint of mine...but find just a handfull of insightful people who have so far had any ideas about it. I am glad for the input I have gotten, but never would pass up an opportunity to try to illicit more ideas!
I see you have mercury=sun/venus....and that it rules house 4 and 5...
hmmm...in the 7th house virgo...
Seems like a strong planet! What is your take on it? I am curious since you say you have been looking at it alot...you must have an interesting reason for saying "Oh the Mercury" as opposed to "Oh the pluto".... your pluto is what jumped out at me most in your chart since it is a midpoint combining the energies of your whole daytime chart! -
-
Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 5:35 PMno problem either, was going to put a link to mine aswell, but its quite long it seems, but its in my pictures, started coming in here about a year and a half ago, dont reply to often unless i have a question, mainly on on my oppositions, sun/pluto and saturn/mars and just simple understanding of the charts and like pi314 said insight, though pi314 i saw you have that saturn mars opposition, what are your thoughts on it? -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 5:54 PM" i saw you have that saturn mars opposition, what are your thoughts on it?"
My thoughts are OUCH!
It makes one grand cross with my ascendant/descendant
and a mystic rectangle with my vertex and chiron (sort of a wider orb)
It has been a hard aspect to deal with...but...once I learned how to deal with it I think it provides structure, self control, and the strength to stand firm with opposition from others and in the face of turbulent emotions.
But it has been a long road. At first that aspect was a source of self hate and it was hard to find balance. I would swing from totally lost in piscean scattered floating passions...to "missing the forest for the trees" and getting lost in details and expectations of perfection.
I have recently begun to think that by association with conjunctions to my sun and nodes...neptune helps balance that whole structure from its position in 7th sagittarius...that is a recent idea, though. -
-
Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 6:07 PMi know much of the self hate thing, sun pluto opposition doesnt help those matters much either, and saturn inconj with my sun dont think does either, but yeah it really is a pain to deal with, dont think i have figured out to live with it yet or if ever -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 8:27 PMJust peeked at your chart, Wayne!
I bet for me the self hate is likely because of my sun being mixed up in it (much like your chiron is...except the sun would be representing the very self)
And by association with that chiron...you get that similar grand cross with ascendant and descendant as I have.
I *think* that is representing a struggle with others (one that makes me feel like someone is literally trying to rip me apart)...maybe the struggle relates to what I percieve in others and how I express myself (could be a projection thing?)
I could be wrong, though, because I know there are other possible sources of a "struggle with others" in my chart so it may not be quite from that grand cross like I think it might be...
Not to mention your Nnode is all mixed up in the axis.... I know how hard that can be !!!! >.<
I find that I simply, MUST pay attention to details with my saturn virgo conjunct my Nnode
Mars in taurus conjunct Nnode sounds a bit like "standing your ground" to me.
Interesting when you mix that with chiron the wounded healer in gemini...
And as if that weren't enough you've got that IC/MC right there too!!!
I'm not seeing an easy fix with any sort of t-square for you, either like my neptune "free balance by association" thing....
I think that with grand crosses (or just the opposition axis if you like) the key is to balance the focus on both ends...
To get where you need to go...use a solid foundation of where you came from
Never let go of your goals but don't forget what you have already learned, either!
Nope, that doesn't sound easy to do...but if you can pull it off it sure would be worth it!

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Sun, September 2, 2007 - 7:21 PMI'm not sure, really...Pluto's the midpoint? Ha ha...I clearly still have some to learn. I kinda...felt like it was the "balancing point" but I can't really see it within me. I don't feel very Plutonian, just like there's a lot of Uranus and Mercury energy in me...is it the energy of Pluto that helps balance it out? Like, here's some stability among this mess sort of deal?
Virgo in the 7th. Ha ha...yes. Okay. I attract a freakish amount of Libras, and get along with them well. They manage to pull out the quieter, shy side of me and then the Gemini comes out to play, so to speak...other than that, I would say that all of the planets in 7th give me a creative edge. I'm a painter...lover of beauty and harmonious settings and relationships...harmony in general makes the world go 'round. However, if things don't go the way I'd like them to, then the moon/mars in Gemini ends up biting someone's head off, metaphorically speaking...I have a sharp tongue, and I'm not fully aware of it's effects. It's a blind spot with me, because if the same thing is turned on me, it's immediately unfair and cruel. -

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 8:46 PMWell...you are probably right, not me.
I trust that you know yourself way better than I!
I have a major uranus midpoint and it seems to "blend and diffuse" the parts of my chart that meet at it.
But it does that in a way where I can swap out this for that....pick this and that and put it together in this new wierd way....
And there are always these sudden, expected changes and twists CONSTANTLY (someone else accurately described it as "surfing")
Maybe pluto as a midpoint is different? I think of pluto as the "atom bomb" planet...maybe that rings a bell? Also, there is the whole "oak tree growing from an acorn" thing.
I can imagine the planets suddenly joining together at once...after seeming so quiet and small for a long time...
But that is just me imagining! You would know :)
Also was looking at the chart again...there would be some interesting midpoints going on with your WHOLE chart
between 10 and 20 libra/aries...especially close to 15...

Mon, September 3, 2007 - 4:14 AMI can relate to you Hannah in the Pluto sense... I don't feel "That" Plutonic... or at least what is described as being Plutonic....
My Mercury is hella elevated also.... In 10th house... Mutual reception towards Moon by sign, Saturn by house... Conjuct to the fixed star Castor.... with a Virgo Rising, Gemini MC.
People tend to over-look it because I got Saturn, South Node, Pluto, POF in Scorpio.... Yet don't see the Venus in Taurus conjuct the North Node....
Outer plantary obessed ppl !!!! lol..... as above as below I say....
Nice to meet you!

Maybe that is what explains how I get so many of what I interpret as "libran vibes" from you Allan >.< at times
I always wondered about where I got that idea from o.0
But maybe not since venus is ruler of libra and taurus...and you've got venus in taurus...so the question remains....why do you sound like libra to me sometimes lol? Maybe it's all in me head 0.o
And btw....that venus is a midpoint for your nighttime chart as I see it...
AND... chiron gemini for your daytime chart (Gemini is the other sign that I always want to think you are...even though you are sun-cancer I know lol)
But I am just wierd don't mind me and my midpoints lol! -

Tue, September 4, 2007 - 3:09 PMYou know I have been to some psychics that tell me they sense sooooo much air off of me... and ask me what Air sign I am... lol....
Jupiter in Aquarius in Air... does that count I respond back.
When I talk to people off of the written world.... Everyone guesses me as a Gemini or Leo! Yes... I bet I could out-talk a Gemini.... lol... I can talk endless amounts.... Maybe it is the Uranus squared Asc that gives the great illusion....
That is why I always wondered how important the MC really is.
Your not weird... you just like to see the same picture in different perspectives! Like Im a strong supporter of the rule of three..... If the chart supports something 3 times, then it is more then likely going to manifest into the materalistic world.... Two is a what-if.... -

Allen,
You have several solstice points in Gemini one is approximately 28 degrees gemini -your chart degrees are blurry so I can't give the exact degrees to these points but another is at 10 degrees gemini and another at 20 degree gemini .
Explore and have some fun with those gemini degrees. They are quite active within your chart function.

Re: Oh, the Mercury...
Thu, September 6, 2007 - 6:58 PMMercury in Libra in the 9th, Virgo sun in the 8th. People see me as a highly emotional, "watery-type" of person. I'm sure that is due to the 5 planets I have in water signs, 2 of which are the moon and Mars conj and tightly squaring Mercury from Cancer.
I read somewhere that squares from Cancer to Libra can cause "stage fright." LOL! I'm a musician and I can definitely attest to having chronic stage fright, but I push through it and usually pull off a good performance, provided I didn't have too much "liquid courage" before the performance. Hahaha!
