Anyone is experiencing this at the moment? This strange lull in between storms? Do you feel that no matter what you do to push things forward, it's just not going to work; the fact that you just got to let go and let the flow of things take over? Or that everything is in suspension and there's really nothing you can do but let them be?
I would attribute this to Mercury still being in its shadow phase and Jupiter in stationary position waiting to move forward next week.
Please share your frustration if you feel me.

Tue, October 6, 2009 - 4:53 AMYes, I've even tried magic!
Seriously, WTF??? My issue is mostly finding work. But with the economy like it is in the US, I know I'm not alone.
And I especially hate this emotional attachment I have to a particular person, when I never do this. I'm not one of those people. I always MOVE on.
My life has been stuck since Feb! I feel like something is coming, it's just slow-going. -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 5:12 AMNo, my transits improved dramatically in Feb... which is what is so confusing. My mental well being is WAY better, but my physical/material life is like the Twilight Zone or something. Everyone is moving forward but me (and you - LOL).
But Jupiter's been in the same area of my chart for a long time and holding onto Neptune. Maybe it's Neptune (or the combo)... they are sextile my Venus, so I thought for a while that it was an indication that "the one" had arrived, but that whole thing was a big Neptune delusion.
But I don't get why my career has to suffer so much for it. You and I both went through a Saturn return also. Mine is entering my 4th, so it's supposed to be a slow climb to the top from here on out.

Isn't Saturn conjunct your IC and opposition your MC right now?
Presumably Uranus must be conjunct your MC and opposition your IC, must be roughly within orb?
Neptune is also square your sun. You also have a square from tr Mars to natal mars and venus too. Mars might be triggering off your Venus-Pluto oppositino for example.
No wonder you're feeling a little out of sorts! -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 6:00 AMYeah, the Saturn IC aspect perfects today, actually... but if it's like the Saturn return, I probably won't feel it for a bit. Uranus is pretty close to the MC. You'd think it would be good for science trades, but I guess we'll see.
The Neptune square Sun thing drudges up feelings of hopelessness and that I haven't accomplished anything in my life. Not that it's true, but it does do that well. It may be Neptune that is the biggest problem. I also have had dream issues for many months - not wanting to sleep for fear of my dreams. It's 6AM here and I haven't been to sleep yet... I waiver between nocturnal and diurnal behavior.

Yeah sleep fears are probably neptunian or perhaps lunar in nature. Sounds like Neptune though with your sun square.
I always like to think that you can make the same energy work for you, rather than against you. Why don't you start meditating or something like that, or perhaps explore your creative side. Might be a good way to vent away the emotions so that the psychic 'charge' will be taken out of the dreams. Things like Tai Chi might work too considering the earthy side of your nature. -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 8:06 PMPaul,
I've always had a strong connection to dreams (Moon conjunct Neptune in Sag sextile Pluto). It looks like you have a strong Neptune connection to those planets too. Do you ever have prophetic dreams too?
Yeah, I keep trying to get back into music, but for some reason my creative passions have died the past few yrs. I don't know if they're really dead, or just dorment.
-
-
Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 8:12 PMWell, if they are dead, you can do what I worked on doing and build a ghosts orphanage for them. The construction may take a long time, but so what?

Teresa
I remember remarking that we had some similar aspects. I have Neptune sextile Pluto and also moon sextile Neptune. I actually DO have some prophetic dreams. Not all the time. But maybe once every 6 months or so I'll have a really obviously prophetic dream. Sometimes they're more allegorically prophetic. One really obvious one was when I was in Uni and living with three other guys. One of them had a long term gf but I hadn't met her yet. I dreamt two nights previous of a young plumpish woman with dramatically pink hair. He had described her as (typically) as big boobs and brunette. When she arrived she had dark hair and was indeed big boobed but her face was pretty much the same. I was away for the weekend and when I came back she had died her hair pink. I just stood there looking at her gormlessly!
One other thing that I just noticed. You have a Sun-Uranus opposition, and Uranus is a singleton (only water planet). I have Sun-Uranus opposition and Uranus as a singleton (only planet in fire).

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 5:03 AMI had a jumpstart in July after some months of stagnation considering the economic crash. And then I was on the roll, after a quiet time, suddenly boom, I got a grant, boom I got a new contract, boom I got another contract... and then lull again.... there was work to be done and ... and then suddenly after the last contract... boom promise of an account with govt, boom promise of an account with new client and another new client... and then the lull again.... I'm waiting for decisions to be made. The decisions on the second round weren't so quick!
Partly Uranus in 2nd house, and Mercury just getting back on track. The point that it went retro was pretty near to my natal Mercury position. Sigh. And of course Jupiter. -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 5:23 AMI think Uranus has something to do about money being so erratic and in sudden bursts especially since it's sitting in my second house.
However, I think what's making it super frustrating is that the last few weeks, we have had such great work-related meetings, including the govt project (who they have not awarded to anyone as yet and I'm past putting my life on hold for that) and then suddenly... A HUGE BIG LULL which keeps you on edge!
So the Mercury in the shadow and Jupiter stationary are really emphasizing that. A week more before Jupiter moves forward! -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 5:31 AMOh, yes... Uranus in the 2nd must be crazy! Uranus can be a good thing, but its energies are much less predictable than other planets'....
Mine is conjunct my MC now, which is a little frightening, but I hope it means "change for the better." Uranus is one of those planets that scare me. Actually, pretty much all of the slower planets do (Saturn on out).

Our Mars energies need outlets for times like this! -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 8:03 AMYup I can't agree more with our Mars energies.
I am not too worried about Mercury going retrograde, it doesn't bother me most times. But I get sensitive to it during the last week before it's out of its shadow phase. Same thing with the full moon.
I'm feeling it even more now because whether or not I get a flush end of the year depends on the contracts, as most of them straddle till the next year.
Lessons learnt with Saturn return has opened me up to new opportunities I never thought possible before and I'm sure there are more it's just that I feel that the days are practically inching up to when Jupiter moves forward again!

Tue, October 6, 2009 - 5:26 AMIt would be a GREAT time for a holiday, and I can't be asked to do anything let alone clean the house or even get up from bed with everything up in the air. I applied for a job a couple of weeks back, mentioned it on Teresa's Horary Tribe too. Interview went well but and they need to consider salary and stuff and get back to me, getting back to me this week apparantly but there's been communication problems with him being in meetings. Still kind of frustrating. I'll update fully when I know either way, but it does seem like we're not fully out of hte shadow of merc retro just yet, but I for one feel like things are definitely moving forward. -

Yeah, I think the Mercury-esq people feel it the most. I was looking at my planetary rankings today and I realized Mercury ranks #2 on my planetary strengths, after Mars. The same thing is true of other people - lunar types are so moody based on Moon transits, etc.

Tue, October 6, 2009 - 7:05 AMYes. You got that right, Teresa. I have been stuck, too, and sleeping at all sorts of crazy times. It has been going on for months, and I am sick of it. Yet I still can't get it going, so I am waiting out the storm of inertia.
I hate to tell you guys, but Mercury will be retro again in December. -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 8:04 AMPaul, your sleeplessness is probably due to the full moon.
I used to stay in a house where it practically sits outside the window during the full moon. Beautiful and romantic, yes indeed, but drives you apeshite.

I've felt pretty creatively stuck for a good couple of years, but the frustration surrounding that has been increasingly growing over the past year or 6 months. Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 2:21 PMBook ~
I know some people who are thriving in this time, but not a great number of them. I think that there are some people, too, who are particularly sensitive to certain sorts of transits and are so for a number of reasons ~ one is that their aspects predispose them to be, and another is that they are actively working with those transits to understand them better and see how they can handle them.
For example, I have a Mercury-based chart, so it stands to reason that I am sensitive to the transits of Mercury. I am also focused on figuring out what sorts of things can go into something like a Mercury retrograde period, so I study the transit like a specimen of experience. Not everything in a Mercury retrograde period is negative, and it sometimes surprises me in what manner the positive experiences or trends or insights manifest, because they often stem from responding creatively to a negative circumstance. This inertia that people here are discussing has driven me to begin to view certain things as being prospective solutions to the dilemma in stead of just wastes of time. What might seem like a mere diversion in a time of lethargy reveals itself as a part of what might cure the lethargy by taking on a purposeful role rather than merely being an idle activity, as it were. This, to me, is a good deal of what goes into "working with a chart," which, if you consider the chart as a kind of map of energetic forces, is what I think makes it a practical tool.

Transits are the things I most readily recognise. Odd how its different for all of us.
Do you use solar arc or progressions or not bother?
I can't imagine how everyone HASN'T noticed this last mercury retro, could feel it for a few weeks leading up to it and tapering off now but still lingering around. Amiable has noticed it for longer and mercury is much more of a key player in her chart than in mine, tho still somewhat important in my own. Perhaps you would notice a transit involving your chart ruler or some other key player in your chart? -

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 4:56 PMThe 'feeling' of stagnation is a horrible thing, but I think you can sometimes use it in a positive way - make your brain think out the box. Focus on something different, even if it's a simple as taking up learning new recipes, or buying a pair of roller skates - anything. For me there's a parallel with being mentally stumped and physically inactive. If the brain feels uninspired, or the emotions at a low ebb - charge yourself with some energy in a literal sense. Mercury retrograde could be a useful time to do something new if your current projects/goals/needs are not being fulfilled or progressing in the direction you want - maybe it's just not the right time for success in those areas - or maybe it's a time for working quietly behind the scenes and laying foundations. I don't like to think of retrograde planets as a hindrance, more of an oppurtunity to withdraw and reflect - have a bit of faith it's got some good purpose for you - you've maybe just got to dig a little deeper to find it. I tend to make lists of things to do when i'm feeling the blues - fun, inexpensive things as i'm on a budget. Stick two fingers up at mercury retrograde I say!

Re: Frozen in Time
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 6:21 PM"the fact that you just got to let go and let the flow of things take over?"
This is the part that hit me. I definitely don't feel stagnation... if anything, things are moving fast. I've just decided to let it go where it will... as Andre Breton put it, "to live entirely according to the random". I'm just focusing on projects, the task at hand. I'm living in a warehouse space with no heat... it's getting cold. I just realized today that I'm supposed to be out in less than a month (time's been flying), not sure where I'm going. There's definitely some worry, but I think that things will work out. It's actually kind of strange... winter's on it's way... Minnesota winter always makes me feel like a squirrel that hasn't gathered his nuts... but this year, I feel OK... and I most certainly have not gathered my nuts. -

Re: Frozen in Time
Wed, October 7, 2009 - 5:42 AMI have been filling stagnant time.
Not one of my hopes or endeavours is moving forward at all.
And I can barely get the motivation to do anything for myself. Asked what I wanted for my birthday... I don't know.
I don't have a lot of needs.
I putter around trying to stay on diet, care for my invalid mother, care for my disabled son and bare minimal housework.
And I feel like binging on the sly. I am not the one that needed a diet dern it. I am at 28% body fat now.
Heh , I nearly fed my Hunny's fish to death. It is in heated QT here on these desk for recovery. I blame Jupiter there.
He actually is the smallest eater of the lot, but older so his swim bladder got knackered.
I am hoping he will eat a bit of pea to hasten recovery. Hunny pretends he doesn't care but he was quick to notice it was sick. :)
