So here's my dealio:
I don't know about you guys, but I had a wierd f*cking August. It was like each day I woke up a little bit more foreign to the person I was the day before. It's like by some way inside of you, you are witnessing yourself falling away and maturing. It was freaky. Anyways, I lost my job in early August. Usually, I get upset about that (actually, don't we all?), but SOMETHING in me felt secure, like I was trusting it. I had a near sixth sense about it that it was gonna be all OK. Fast forward 2 weeks later (and at that point, I'm so thoroughly over sitting around watching daytime TV, lemme tell ya) and I'd been on probably more interviews than ever before in my working life. I was "selling myself" differently. I mean, I usually never sell myself at all. I was always so complacent and, well, lazy stubborn Taurus. But I'd been going into interviews with my Sun sign Taurus on full blast for some reason--which is very unusual for me considering my fear of new people/situations I've had since childhood. So, I get a job offer. Everything's going great. THEN--and this is a clincher--the IRS calls me and tells me they've located $1500 in lost refund money that, for some reason of their own, didn't come to me from 2001.
Seriously...I told you it was a crazy August.
But towards the end, namely the past six days, it's gotten wierder but in a not-so-nice-surprisingly-fun-way. My bf and I started fighting like it was the end of all ends. I started to realize how much I miss my family (me, the one who never calls them until after the fifth call from them) and that peeling away feeling from early August hit a highnote--to the point that it was happening during the day, while I was conscious of it. I was suddenly noticing things about myself, my internal clockwork--it was like something had scooped me up and chucked me down into the eternal depths of my 4th house. The "OMG! That's why I'm like that?!" and the "Now I realize..." which led me to trying to convince myself to NOT be hard on myself for the new personal faults making themselves apparent. My head was swimming. It was like walking through the worst of London or SF fog. Still, I felt incredible urging to "let it go," to "not dwell on it," but remain practical.
THEN the day before the Eclipse, I was at work and I felt a wierd energy around me when I was in the supply closet moving papers. I shrugged it off. Then, as I moved a huge stack of folders I got a deep, painful papercut in my hand. I caught myself just staring at it like gold was coming out or something. I kinda dozed off on it, it was wierd. I didn't think anything of it (after the "oouuuuch!" of course), but later that night, my bf comes running, shakily, into the house, drops his bag to the floor and I notice he's aloof in a scary way, he's shaking. He tells me he was just mugged and that the assailants had cut his hand during altercation. And me, who's never been "motherly" a day in his life, felt such an overwhelming compassion then. I felt like I was gonna boil over with it. Then, the day of the eclipse, I was moody as all heck. But not emotionally, so to speak. Instead, I went "in and out" of myself. I mean, literally, 20 minutes I was my "outter self," the Sun me: charming, incredibly extroverted, bright face, all smiles, talk to any and everyone but then 20 minutes later my "inner self," the Moon fell on me like an iron curtain: I was nervous, scared, hiding, had to force myself to talk, just wanted to be alone. But each time my Sun came, it was more powerful than before, because I was involuntarily realizing WHAT I was feeding the Moon part of me to make it so powerful: that really, I had nothing to be afraid of and that my Sun and Moon should co-exist. And that, growing up, I had denied that somehow, and gave all my powers into my Moon personality. I could literally see my childhood, and instances of me doing that.
Then, today: I got fired. I just started the job! They are gonna restructure and eliminate the position all together. How wierd is that? I mean, what are the odds? I just started that job. Again, initially I was upset but then there was that feeling of opportunity. Like, it's not bad because it's a door opening, not closing.
I was always the stubborn pescimistic, cynical depressed guy growing up and now all of a sudden (tho I now realize it's been a slow change over the past 2 years that has peaked now so far) I'm Mary f*cking Sunshine. And ontop of that, I've never known this much about myself--or should I say, I've never been this AWARE of myself, of cause and effect, of law of gravity, of law of inertia. My friend who studies astrology said perhaps it's not just the eclipse, but Saturn as well (and maybe some other outer planets) metaphysically kicking my arse.
Apparently, the eclipse hit my 3rd House Virgo and 9th House Pisces (and ironically Virgo shares 4th with Libra and Pisces shares 10th with Aries)
what about you guys? Anyone got any freaky wierd stories that are actually telling and good?

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 4:26 PMSounds like a Blast there derrick!
Sounds like Uranus is hitting something....
August has been like every month lately... intresting....
I am usally Mr. Sunshine 90% of the time... this month I have been becoming bitter towards people. Getting into an isolation mood... with the transiting Saturn entering into my 12th house...
A few days before the eclipse, I decded to carry a ruby around... Now I can't get this damn heart charka to turn itself off!
I have been having a lucky month when it comes to money myself...too... I keep on finding 20 dollar bills on the ground while walking on the trail to my bus stop..
Then on the day after the eclipse... I had to get a review at work.... and got a raise, talked about the eclipse that happened.
I watched EVERYONES relationships fall apart... One by One... lol. -

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 5:07 PMspeaking of which, neptune has been retro for a spell now as has venus and currently they are opposing each other.
and isn't saturn kinda squaring jupiter?
and isn't mars opposing jupiter?
meanwhile for a couple of hours just a bit ago, the moon opposed mercury and will be conjunct retro uranus in not long.
anyway
but so yeah, my current transits are so crazy:
uranus on my sun opposing mercury on my pluto
neptune on my AC/venus/mercury opposing venus on my dc
saturn on my jupiter squaring jupiter on my MC
Jupiter on my MC opposing mars....
who knows what's up with me? :) -

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 5:13 PMWow, Derrick. It sounds like more than just an eclipse to me going on there!
With me it's just been the usual - restless, hard time sleeping, moody. I'm usually that way around a full moon, tho. The eclipse has just sort of made me more aware of it.

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 5:14 PM".....and will be conjunct retro uranus in not long."
editing blunder from trying to change the sentence after updating the transit chart i was looking at. derrr.
and now i must change it again cause its jumping to tomorrow already
so maybe really the sentence just covers a 24hr period and i needn't worry. -

Then stated she still owes me chocolate.
?
Gosh, thanks!
and while I could sit at work until 7pm and actual finish..............54 more pieces of sushi
uh...
How am I going to get this home?
I guess I should let it be known that I like girls and airline tickets too?

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 5:55 PMthe eclipse opposed my virgo moon and all week there has been this ongoing, massive hammering and horrible ripping sounds from straight above. no, the four horsemen of the apocalypse are not gunning after my ass quite yet. however, we are in the process of tearing down and replacing the entire roof of our house and i have not felt or heard such helacious racket since disco invaded the eighties. -

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 6:38 PMwell lets see the moon went through my 4th. if I think comfort zone. and it opposed, one by one, all my 10th Uranus, Pluto, and now Mars.. also passed Chiron..
I'm having a lull in work and home forward fire. but today it stared to get better 1/2 way through. My kid was grounded and spent a lot of the day calling me to try to manipulate himself out of it.
Can't seem to get answers from bosses till 1/2 hour ago, called me at home..
I have also gotten some odd, somewhat aggressive attention or reaction, from 3 places. which had me thinking "Huh"..
And sleep cycle tossed out the window, Only got 3 hours sleep to stay up and watch it..(Guess it's appropriate for a Pisces moon to feel a little dreamy)..
7 people in lawn chairs in the mid. of our street. Great veiw..Nobody said much either...
I got left alone for 3 days to build a nice little deck, install a door. (my latest pic, not finished.)
All in all, kinda a "quiet" energy... shhh... -

Wed, August 29, 2007 - 7:07 PMIt happened in my 6th/12th house.... I got a rise and all that crap... Planets bring it on lol...
All these transits are pretty much good in my chart....
My Asc is 20 Virgo... Mercury is conjuct to it...
Uranus is conjuct the DC.
Transiting South Node and Sun conjuct to me Moon....Then followed by Saturn!
Its going to be a blast I tell you.... so far nothing that crazy....

The night of the eclipsy event ;
I woke up in time for the peak showing of the eclipse absolutely fabulous.
I had a little bit of nausia from the pulling the eclipse made on my solar plexis -I belch ever so loudly into the darkened predawn skies with the reddened moon .

I saw a young cat by my home I hope it didn't catch any poisoned rodents . I put food out in case she cames back to detour her from eating any mice but I have not seen the young wild kiity anymore.

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 1:24 PMi think the eclipse revealed bed bugs in my house. Ew.
My boyfriend also got rats.
This is weird.
The day of the eclipse, I was kind of in a dream world. I didn't let too much affect me in a negative way.
I also tried very hard to put out good energy. I gave $11 to a panhandler at Penn Station, found out later he was a scammer, but still felt good about it.
The morning following the eclipse, I called out of work. Couldn't interact. I went in later in the day.
My August was great on a social level. On a personal, emotional level, I felt that I really matured...I felt very reflective, and thought about how far I have come.
I also thought a lot about old loves, and even contacted one, out of foolishness.
I was looking for something.
Now that the moon is in Aries...I have a sense of awe about life and the world...like an infant. I also feel like I have a chance to start over. I was kind of lazy in July and August...I feel energized.
I work at a university, and am a grad student, so this is a time of newness for me, with students returning to campus. But I also feel that inside of me. -

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 4:28 PMeewww... bedbugs and rats. Been there....
Magenta, you might have animals too. The bedbugs follow rats. Or possums or skunks... They live in the nests. Get rid of the rats and you'll probley be able to get rid of the bedbugs. The problem is rats are so frickin SMART. It's about impossible to get rid of them by trapping. There is a type of screening rats can't chew through- it cuts their mouths. It's a flat weave with sort of diamond holes. They use it for adobe construction- don't know what it's called, but it works!
I don't have rats anymore, just a $%^&* smelly possum that lives in the tree in my backyard and craps on everything. And 3 cat ladies as neighbors. Eewww. Even skunks are so much nicer. -

Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 11:06 PMKi, it sounds like you've had an experience with a rat. Not ratsSSSS. Like, lots of rats... They learn to avoid traps.
Where I live one of the cat ladies' house is so bad the mice and rats and other wildlife have eaten all the insulation in her walls. I mean bad- animal hoarder, cat shit wall to wall. Disease. Neighbor's kids playing in diseased cat shit. She doesn't live there- just keeps the place wide open with food spread out. Another cat lady was stealing other people's cats and when they died she SLEPT with the dead cat bodies. I kid you not... We all call her "psycho-dead-cat-lady".
High density area... Serious cat shit... Some of these kitties aren't exactly pets anymore...
Don't worry Kate, I don't kill cats. Psycho-dead-cat-lady does steal them from here off and on though...
County services? What county services? They arrested PDCLady twice but she's back at it. She seems to be the defacto animal control around here... eeewwww.... -

Fri, August 31, 2007 - 7:59 AMLOL!
My sister had remodeled her bathroom and they found several nesting grounds for birds . What a diseased nightmare the workers said there were not any baby birds so they cleaned it out and removed that part of the structure and went through the entire structure looking for other possible opening or nests . They sealed off the places the birds came in through and for several weeks the birds were trying to tear through wired opening. They finally gave up or got in again.

Fri, August 31, 2007 - 4:10 AMi don't have rats. i mean, i have never seen a rodent in my house (its my boyfriend with the rodent problem in HIS apartment), but actually I did see a mouse about a year ago, a dead one. My cat killed it. Haven't seen any since, and Harry, my cat, keeps sentry at all the holes in the house, so that is probably why I haven't seen any.

A belligerant contest, a judged scream-a-thon, a pass-out petting zoo, an axe throw, midnight obstical courses, bobbing for needles... Re: How has the Eclipse affected you so far?
Sat, September 1, 2007 - 9:28 PMHad trouble sleeping but then I was pretty high on seeing the eclipse here in Sydney. To think I can't remember seeing a lunar eclipse before. Without it glowing it looked like a ball suspended in mid air, which I guess is exactly what it is, but to see it without light is amazing because you can see the 3D shape. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that the shadow the earth makes is exactly the same size as the Moon and why .... How the whole universe is in balance and how we can predict the positions of the objects out there and the relationships they make to one another. There were hundreds of people where I was and all were absolutely blown away by the vision of the Moon, in space, just there, like a ball, then it turns pink, and then back slowly to a bright shining light in the sky. When we look upon the known with new eyes we wonder and we see like a child. -
