Hi.
Persona charts - when looking at a persona chart, what things does one need to bear in mind? Am I right in thinking that it's basically a chart that shows more of the subconcious personailty? I've just had a quick look at mine and straight away some things seem to make more sense to me than my natal chart! What is the best way to 'read' the chart? What does one aim to find out when looking at a persona chart?

Sat, October 3, 2009 - 5:55 PMThere was a thread recently on this, but I still don't really get the importance of it. I don't really connect to my persona charts.
Here's the earlier thread:

Sat, October 3, 2009 - 6:19 PMYes, I like Captain C's explanantion very much. Fascinating stuff! I think trying to understand my neptune persona chart imparticular will deff be a great benefit. Does anyone out there find they resonate with any of their persona charts very clearly- if so, which ones and how has it helped?

Re: In laymans terms - what exactly is a persona chart???
Tue, October 6, 2009 - 10:48 AMI suspect that one would identify with different Persona charts to different degrees, dependent at least in part on how connected one is to the particular planet.
So for example, a person who has a planet unaspected, or perhaps with few aspects but in the 12th house, or intercepted...they may not be able to connect to that Persona chart.
On the other hand, a planet that is really strong in their chart, angular, or with a lot of aspects, the Persona chart may speak volumes to them.
Just a thought. -

I'm still very new to persona charts, so I'm not sure I follow, yet. How do aspects/how connected a person is to a particular planet effect the relevance of the persona chart for that particular planet? Is it about how persona charts are set up? A persona chart wouldn't necessarily give a lot of additional insight into a 'weak' planet? -

Re: In laymans terms - what exactly is a persona chart???
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 5:05 PMI think all persona charts are relevant. But I don't think one may be completely conscious of a planet in their chart, and this in turn would mean they were less able to identify with the information inherent in that planet's Persona chart.
Which, if valid, would mean that the more self-aware a person becomes when it comes to planets in their chart, the more they would be able to make sense out the Persona chart for that planet. -

Thu, October 8, 2009 - 5:38 PMAha! Thanks for the answer; that certainly makes sense, that it would be hard to decipher a persona chart for a planet you weren't as conscious of/familiar with.

Re: In laymans terms - what exactly is a persona chart???
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 7:22 PMWow - that link WAS really informative and fascinating!
I still haven't quite gotten a clear grasp of how to read my persona charts yet - still perusing a bit. I can only give initial impression feedback so far.
My first impression of my Moon chart was pretty comfortable and my first impression of my Ascendant chart was quite the opposite.
I was also immediately struck by how my Midheaven chart is entirely in the lower hemisphere, except for Chiron (8th Gemini), and my Moon chart is entirely in the upper hemisphere, except for Chiron (2nd Gemini). And the personal planets had largely shifted signs between the two, but the Moon is in Pisces in both. Midheaven all in the lower hemisphere seems pretty wonky (or does this make complete sense and is really normal?).
Finally, I noticed that my Mercury personal chart has my Sun/Moon/Mercury in the same signs (Aries/Taurus/Pisces) as they are in the natal chart of the musician-obsession of my teenage years (Melora Creager of Rasputina). Then I checked her persona charts and her Moon chart has her Sun/Moon/Mercury in the same signs (Taurus/Scorpio/Aries) as my natal chart. Which perhaps is not that striking, because of the Aries/Taurus repetition and Mercury's nearness to the Sun.
Anyhow... I'm lookin' into this persona chart stuff some more!
