I am really interested in this whole Midheaven(the cusp of the 10th house)-issue,especially after doing a little bit of research, and realizing that a lot of great actors have had Leo on their Midheaven,or Jupiter in the 10th house, which brings great opportunities and luck in the professional life, leading me to the belief that it is definitely not to be overlooked in terms of career choices and discovering your talents.
I would very much like to hear more examples and explanations related to the Midheaven-aspects,planets in the 10th house, and the signs' influences on the cusp of the tenth house...And if someone could explain what exactly does Gemini act like on the Midheaven?Or is the decan of the sign also relevant?Would Midheaven in Gemini in the first decan be different from Midheaven in Gemini in the second decan? What would Sun and Venus square the Midheaven point out to?Does a lack of planets in the 10th house suggest lack of professional success,or simply more freedom of choice, and the chance to carve out your own path in life?

I would have thought that Gemini on the MC would suggest that you might wish to develop professionally through developing yout communication skills and you should look to your MC ruler Mercury for more clues about how you might wish to do that.

You should be versatile int he skills that you pick up and you might gain porfessional pride through acquiring not just one, but several skills - involving communication. Without seeing your chart it is less easy to imagine what Sun and Venus squaring your MC might mean, but it could indicate some feelings of tension through wanting to 'be yourself' and having to trim that with the demands of the workplace.

My midheaven is at 29 degrees ofMercury-ruled Virgo and I teach Tesol in order to make a living at the moment, getting people to talk and talking a lot myself, MC square Mercury and Saturn. Actually, there is a Libran component to this kind of work too, as a lot of it involves teaching social skills along with the communicating. The square form Saturn did mean that I thought that for a while I there just was no possibility to get paid work at all and would still love to be able to find places that are opne to my artwork, but maybe that is just a Pisces IC dream.

As for 10th House, well maybe therer are som people here with 10th House placements. Did you know that there was an asrologer who tried researcxhing the effects of planets on the angles and in fact, it was not 10th Housae Jupiters that appeared in the charts of actors he looked at, but rather the 9th and the 12th Houses.

I have wondered about how the midheaven influenced my professional orientation. I have a cancer midheaven with little planetary contact. I have venus in oppositon, chiron square, pallas trine, & neptune biquintile; so not much to help me understand. though if feel libra asc squaring venus conjunct ic opp mc has to have some significance. i have done research, but have failed at figuring out the interpretation including the detail that venus the ruling asc planet is squaring the asc. now to pay the bills i work in finance. the only connection i see to this is a bunch of planets in capricorn, but I hate to fall back on stereotypes. also wouldn't working to work have to do with the 6th house?

now my moon placed in 11th house make sense to me. for fullfillment i volunteer for an inner citty mentoring program for teens and another organization that focuses on children & the theater arts. my moon is trine chiron (7th house), trine mars (3rd house), sextile saturn (9th house).

any insights or hints would be really appreciated. my chart is posted in my profile/photo album

The 10th house is the house of karma (action), and shows your ability to take action in life, be successful, and achieve status.

To see what you do for a living, like what your talents are and what career you are drawn to, you want to look at the dharma houses (1st, 5th, & 9th) as well as their lords. The planets and signs involved with these houses show your professional orientation. Then the 10th house (and midheaven) shows how that plays out.

    That's what I've learned lately.

    • David,
I have heard it broken down the same way. I once mentioned before that an astrologer friend told me I should maybe get into the arts. He didn't tell me how he came to that conclusion, but I've begun to wonder if it has something to do with Cancer Asc (with Jupiter in the 1st), Scorpio 5th (with Uranus) and Aquarius in the 9th (because, after all, what is art if not a socially transformative medium). And perhaps, Saturn (Aqua's ruler) in Virgo 3rd signifies what i'd be communicating? My 10th, however, begins in Pisces, runs through Aries and ends in Taurus. I have no idea what to make of that.

I use whole sign houses, it's much simpler.

In Vedic, the houses define the signs. That is, the house relationship is always the same for each sign, so it helps teach you something about that sign. For example, with Cancer Rising, Scorpio is always the 5th house and Pisces the 9th house, and that is just part of the definition of Cancer. So to understand your innate nature and your life path, you need to look at the 1st, 5th, 9th, Moon, Mars, & Jupiter. Influences to these houses and house lords show who you are and what you are likely to do with yourself. This is especially true with the 1st house and 1st house lord.

'.........also wouldn't working to work have to do with the 6th house?'

I should think that dealing with bosses, colleaugues and the routine of work is prety much to do withhe 6th House, whilst the MC ismore to do with the development of reputation. And I do wonder how much the MC has to do with 'vocation' in the innermost sense I do suspct that the MC may be more to do with he professional role we have to play and that might mean having to adopt the kind of persona that might be associated with that and meeting the expectations of this role halfway, as it were. What I do hear a lot too is that planets squaring or opposing the MC can indicate conflict with a parent over what the profession might be. It might be intereating to hear a few more views on that.

I have a 6th Hpuse Mars, which probably is as better suited to fieldwork and being self-employed as some of the canned interpretations Ihave come across tactfully suggest, not having a lot of patience with office politics and and beng smooth and bland at all imes, the Mercury-Saturn square to the MC - well, there was the promising beginning of graduating at a time of maximum unemployment.

Sandra - If there is no sense that there is a any conflict between wanting to be able to shine as the Special Person You Are and Choosing a Profession, then maybe there might not be a square from the Sun to the Midheaven and you have said you are not totally sure about your birth time.

Natalie - regarding Venus on the IC squaring the Ascendant...I have come across similar interpretations in more than one area about this placement suggesting a certain amount of shyness in the public domain. Venus square Ascendant as much as Venus on the IC. Perhaps his may be because any planet on he IC may be less happy about having o perform in more 'public' areas of life?

Again, there could be the sense that a particualr career path was chosen because there might have been a parent that valued investment in things to do with finance - that over other things, maybe. I can quite understand your not wanting to feel stereotyped with this money conection though, nevertheless with Mercury, Jupiter and the North Node as well as Venus at the most private point in your chart in Caprocorn, there does seem to be a story of feeling a strong connection to skills that have some kind of relaionship to long-term investments - this may or may not involve resources such as homes..

However, whatever seems most important to you has to make sense for you alone. A Leo Moon as ruler of the MC might have a talent for recognising potential in what may seem at first sight to be the most unpromising of people and it makes an easy opposition to a tough Mars-Saturn configuration. So maybe the Libra Ascendant also could mean a talent for getting even difficult people to co-operate in their own development soemwhere?

That is just a few I thought I would throw out at you, but they are just ideas.

Hmmm… pisces 6th house. Maybe problems with boundaries with co-workers, or I need a work environment that is not too structured. Not to sure on this one. 6th house only has part of fortune there. Jupiter is in my 4th house, but conjunct mercury & sun & sextile part of fortune. What sign is on your 6th house cusp?

I agree with you on the venus conjunct ic. I am definitely a little on the shy side in public areas/groups of people. I also tend to be very private about my love life I really dislike it when people are in my personal business. But at the same time I enjoy being on stage or doing a scene in a group setting- it’s very therapeutic for me. Always nervous when I am me, but not when I am somebody else. Could this be venus square Pluto? Pluto in the 12th definitely can see the therapy element.

Capricorn in the 4th house, people tend to get the idea of someone whose home is very organized or they are controlling or old fashion. For me it has been about having to be an adult when you are a child. I don’t mean to generalize, but both my parents are only children, and tended to be self-involved. So my brother & I grew up taking care of ourselves. Parents provided food & shelter, but not very involved in our lives. & after the divorce my brother decided to live with grandparents & I stayed with my mom. My life was very unstable. I think I went to around 8 or 9 schools before graduating high school. & it wasn’t abnormal for my mom to drop me off at someone’s house (family or close friend) & come back for me in a year or two. My natal chart makes sense with cappy north node. Capricorn is about responsibility, being realistic, depending on you. South node in cancer is about depending on others, nurturing. I am thinking my childhood instability has to do with Uranus square mercury/Jupiter/sun conjunction. & my 4th/9th house mutual reception helped me by allowing me to not to be stuck in my (parent’s) world, but to see what else was out there, what my life as an adult could be.

Now my venus is also square 7th house Chiron/desc. So there is a grand cross forming with the 4 angular house cusps. I didn’t have a conflict with my parents over profession. I think the conflict was more within myself from issues I had with my parents & with myself. I didn’t pursue what I wanted in college, because I knew the only person i could depend on was myself, so I did what was safe. Finance/business is easy & you can always get a job.

Thanks for your ideas on leo moon. It was much more in-depth than mine…lol I was thinking leo children/creativity, 11th house organizations.

Oops think I kind of went off the thread topic for a little bit. I blame it on too much coffee. Nexus7 thanks for sharing your thoughts

'What sign is on your 6th house cusp?'

Taurus. My Mars squares Uranus and Chiron/Moon and Ceres is on the Mars-Jupiter midpoint.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Natalie. I could imagine that the conflict could be yours too. Most Hungarian kids I teach take up business studies or economics because they want 'safe' jobs, so from that point of view there is a lot of it about.

so,what if I have Moon,Mars and Jupiter in the 9th house, and Gemini on the cusp of the 10th?
          • Unsu...

Wow, that is quite an exact conjunction you have there! Mars + Moon and Mars + Jupiter are supposed to be signs of wealth, but the fact that all three are in the very first degree of Gemini means they don't have very much strength to deliver their karmas. The 9th house shows what you aspire to, what you hold most high in your mind. Moon and Jupiter together can be publishing or teaching. Mars shows interest in logic, engineering, or things of the earth. Possibly you would have interest in teaching or writing about geology, ecology, or earth-based religions. But even more important than the planets in the dharma houses is the planets ruling the dharma houses. For Libra rising that's Venus, Mercury, & Saturn. I can see from your profile pics that you aren't sure about your Ascendant, but fortunately in your case both options have the same three dharma lords. In either case, you have an exalted Venus which can definitely show interests in art and/or beauty. Maybe somebody else has insights into these combinations too...

              I also have a Mars-Jupiter conjunction,but I don't get it:why is the first degree of Gemini a bad influence?

I read somewhere that planets on the very first degree of a sign show fortune and vitality(although I can't say I'm an overly energetic person),as well as a feeling of "not belonging",feeling like the "odd man out"-which is something I definitely feel right now...I'm kinda looking for a place to call home, and by "place" I mean more like...a feeling...an area of life that would make me feel like I'm not wasting myself
              • Unsu...

I didn't say it was bad, but Jyotish does consider that placement to be weak. In some cases that's a good thing, if the planet would otherwise make trouble it loses potency to do so. Zero to six degrees of even signs planets are in an infant stage and their strength grows from zero to one quarter. So in the first degree planets are very close to zero strength. One way to think of it is that the planets have just entered the sign, so they have no experience with it, they are just learning to crawl there so to speak, like a newborn baby. But the planets can be strong in other ways and you have to look at the chart holistically to understand their full story, so I wouldn't get depressed about it.

'I need to be very political (as much as I hate it and am challenged by politics) and I MUST keep the attention of my students and feel I am always on stage (I literally say "game on" to myself when I walk through the door each day)'

                  Pi

I do not know if this is MC, just having to be on your toes when 'performing' or just about teaching in general, but maybe it certainly describes teaching.

But as far as the MC goes, my experience of it is certainly that it can represent an area of life where reputation can either be built or destroyed and represents a very 'public' face. I can see the challenge in that, but still would regard what I do in that arena as being more to do with day-job activities than any 'calling.' I do not really care for the more nit-picky side of what I have to do for my Virgo Mc work, but still value the opportunity to be able to operate in this area on the whole. However, I still feel that this particular area of life asks too much in terms of the kind of petty 'respectability' that is sometimes required - luckily enough I can still pick and choose my work, being in the 'field' rather than being an employee as said before - but once again, as the transitting sun un and earlier on Mercury have crossed my Midheaven, there have been one or two nice little surprises. Like finding out that someone looking for a teacher for a sprog googled my name recently, found my website - and promptly blackballed me, deciding that I am into voodoo and black magic and Definitely Not Suitable.

So - in this instance, bang goes my reputation. I built the site to show off my artwork primarily and it did help in one area recently, but..well, maybe now, it is question of not taking on any work with kids at all. For each one, there are at least four adults behind it with their expectations, creating more and more batches of either over or underachieving neurotics.
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
My midheaven is in Cancer - I guess grand water trine my sun (scorp) and moon (pisces).
My saturn is in Aries as is my north node - which I take to mean based on the below that in order to be who I want to be or what I want when I "grow up" I will have to become more independent and go after what I want.
Not sure how my cap on the IC comes into play except I do like order in my house/home - I grew up with a lot of emotional DISorder and I strive for structure at home - neatness that is - doesn't have to be overly clean but neat damn it.
Finding myself and finding my career has been a long standing search for myself - neverending I guess.
  • The MC symbolizes a multi-faceted crystal of how our totality makes its offering to the world. Psychologically, the MC represents the sometimes buried childhood wish of "what I want to be when I grow up". Socially, the sign on the MC represents other people's first impressions of us and professionally it symbolizes how our reputation can be built and/or destroyed. Personally, it's that side of ourselves that we might call our "best face" or our "game face" and also, our public image (as opposed to self-image).

The key is about grasping the nature of the specific sign at the MC. Gemini, for example, is a bit of a chamelion and lends itself to multiple approaches and public images or maybe, as the twins suggest, a dual career. People's first impression about you is that you may be an idea person with something to say. Or that you do many things or wear many hats.

Our reputation is built by delivering the goods and the goods of Gemini is delivering the message. You build your rep by knowing what it is that you have to say, what is worth communicating. You damage your rep by remaining mute or by trying too hard to come off as someone who does just one thing (which might work for Taurus MC).

Planets on the MC (and to some extent in the 10th House) represent dynamics within us that require recognition tto ignite and maintain their power and presence. For example, Venus at MC symbolizes a need for your personal aesthetic amd style to be seen and recongized. It also represents a need to love your profession and/or to pursue a profession in the arts and/or other fields that offer a sense of beauty to the world. The MC in general symbolizes our "offering"...our contribution to the world we live in.

There's much more to the MC but these have been for me good starting points.

Well I've got Uranus near my MC in Sagg and I've already got a reputation for being a bit crazy and adventurous- so is that it, the pinnacle of my life?!
      • re: "Well I've got Uranus near my MC in Sagg and I've already got a reputation for being a bit crazy and adventurous- so is that it, the pinnacle of my life?!"

Pinnacle of your life ? That depends on how you are defining freedom. if your autonomy is undeveloped, it will tend to act out in rebellion against any externally-imposed restrictions or rules. With Uranus as your "point of offering", your personal freedom depends on the freedom of others; you are only as free as the freedom you permit in others, in other words. The pinnacle of your life here looks to me as that time when you are engaged in the active liberation of others from oppression. In Sagg, it will most likely take on the form of exposing oppressive beliefs and dogmas, in yourself and others, towards more spiritual freedom.
        • when i first got into astrology a few months ago. i was told first the planet closest to the MC represents your ideal career, then i was told the sign the MC enters represents it, then i had read that the duties of the house in which the lord of the sign in which the MC enters (ie: MC in gemini, with mercury in 3rd house you should get into communications, etc) represents it. Personally, looking at my own chart, i feel like it might be the sum of the clues in each placement, in each aspect and in karmic representations. kinda like, the sum is greater than it's parts. not that I negate 6th house or 10th or MC, but is it possible they are just puzzle pieces, not the whole puzzle solved?

i have that aspect as well, i think that is the dream i am trying to go after the most
          • I've come to see the Mc (Midhaven), as were the results of our efforts, of the whole chart show solid results. ie: the public view.
Sherpa's "what I wana be when I grow up" shows intent, what you might aspire to.
Gemini- other than things stated, I can see this as maybe having to do with connecting things or people to their needs.
The 10th house is Saturn's house or Capricorn. Saturn calls on us to work for what we get, "Show me the Money".
In the old days a person was publicly defined by what they did for a living, So old school astrology, has used the 10th (MC) for career, But it's really more personal than that, though is a projection viewed by outside ones self
I have also understood the 10th cusp, for what you Can be, But old Saturn says, "You'll have to work for it". So looking at Natal Saturn for some of what you need to do, to get what you Want to be. Along w/ aspect to MC and any bodies near by..
I like looking at all 4 points.
Asc- for our first step forward,
            IC -(4th cusp) History, Security,
Dec-What we look to lean from out side ourselves.
And The MC, were we accomplish something, that we hope contributes to our world.
Our ego structure, sense of confidence, is also tied up in the MC and IC axis.
            Still learning though…

Natty, that could be your Leo Moon too.

Magenta, if Sun, Venus and Mercury are at the MC, then that certainly may mean that you may tend to define who you are through your career. I do have the tiniest suspicion, though, that with the Sun there especially, you may have the feeling sometimes that there may be a lot to llive up to - perhaps a pushy parent in the backgrround. Once again, thses are just ideas - the question is, do you relate to that at atl?
I have seen your other threads about trines and the only thing I could say to that is that maybe, especially in Pisces, there could be a litle laziness a times, so it could be that you cannot take it for granted that knowing influential people or having personal charm for example will automatically mean constant success. In that sense I do think the MC can be a rather cold and hard place, somehow. I do think the writer who went on about trines being linked to axe-wielding maniacs is a litle silly by the way - going back to one or two earleir comments again.

As for the rest - I am til not so convinced that the Midheaven is necessarily about 'calling' though it, though it certainly seems to be an area of life where there may be somethng to prove, in my experience. My two cents.

But at leastwith that trio on the MC supported by trines, you should have a clear diea of what you want to do with your life? Or are you not so sure, in fact?
  • great topic, have always wanted to discuss midheaven.

i have a cluster of very personal planets near my midheaven: venus, mercury and sun. obviously i'm a pisces sun. my midheaven is also involved in a grand trine with mars in cancer (1st house) and uranus in scorpio (5th house). I just learned about the trine(s?) today and honestly it's having a troubling effect on me.

    any thoughts?
  • My Midheaven is Taurus - no planets there but its trine my Sun in Cap, and sextile both my Jupiter and Saturn. I also have venus and Merc in the 6th house and Sun in the 5th.

I guess I appear at work like Taurus...hardworking, patient, and almost clinical. Good vide for a lawyer I guess! Its been a long slow climb...(saturn in the 11th) but hopefully I will get there (wherever that is??) someday..;-)

I used to think that having no planets near the midheaven was a bad sign as far as "making it" in the world goes, but that was a silly notion, yah?

    Sandra,
My first impression of a MC in gemini would be someone who has trouble knowing what they really want to do in regards to the big "out there" social structure, because they have so many options open to them. Since you have many planets in the 9th house, I'm wondering if education will play a big part in figuring out which, if only one, avenue you will take... of course, that is what the general public is told to do, but for you it may be more innate. I agree with the rest that you should look at mercury to see which types of interests you pursue may become public, and also jupiter to see where the "luck and opportunity" might come in. of course, whatever you do passionately will probably get some kind of recognition, no matter what the MC says.

I think it's also important to look at the progressions and transits to the MC.... a planet transiting or progressioning over the MC... or the MC progressing over planets, might thrust someone into the public eye, or spark their more occupational interests.

Right now chiron and neptune are progressing over my MC in Aquarius. I've been more public about my interest in astrology/psychology as of late... now people keep coming to me to do their charts or ask my advice, when I'm used to people never really listening to what I have to say. I have to be very careful about it though, and I've had to limit what I say... I'd feel responsible if someone did something harmful based on what I told them (my mercury is natally rather dibilitated and yet prominant at the same time, go figure that).

Also the aspects to the MC seem to point to, like Sherpa said, "what I want to be when I grow up," but also in a sense of how a child will relate to the outside world in general... where the sun square MC might mean something like the self-expression of the child causes trouble in public (depending on the sign/house placements) etc. that may become more solidified as they become adults (like a stifling of self expression in public later).
    • Q,
I totally dig your take on the MC and other aspects of a natal chart that contribute to understanding of career. I've got 10th in Pisces with no planets. However, my Saturn is in 3rd Virgo so I think that in order to actualize what my MC is telling me, perhaps I need to work on Virgo characteristics in 3rd house properties perhaps.
      • derrick – (Just a beginner here to, remember)

Well in theme of The axis, or polarities. Virgo Is the opp, of Pisces, So ya Virgo Saturn would be a good place to look. Also Nept. and It's placement, aspects, ect..

Another thing I think of the MC..I said this somewhere recently.
        The 3 Earth houses. 2nd, 6th, and 10th.

        2nd- for the raw materials
        6th- repetitious work, chores, ect.
        10th- Results…

One thing I think is most Important. Mill about, read, listen, interact. What strikes you as True, to you, probably is, what doesn’t, don’t allow to convince you it is..
  • Unsu...

It is hard for me to think of MC without IC too.

That could be because my aquarius MC is square uranus(ruler of aquarius)?
actually.... I have uranus = MC/IC, a t-square/ uranus midpoint structure all rolled into one

I think (and maybe just cuz of my aspects) that the IC is an important factor in reaching the MC.
For example, I am a teacher. I am kind of on the cutting edge of a lot of things right now and am serving the greater community and society in a lot of ways with the place I work. We do a whole lot of community programs and I feel that it is pretty progressive and unusual as far as teaching goes.

But, what I have learned, is this. In order to really reach my midheaven so to speak and succeed in my job, I must start at the foundation of my IC and let it spring me up to my MC. My IC is leo. I need to be very political (as much as I hate it and am challenged by politics) and I MUST keep the attention of my students and feel I am always on stage (I literally say "game on" to myself when I walk through the door each day)

I can't reach my aquarius MC unless I start at the foundations of my leo IC.
Like many axes in a chart...it is all about balance.
    • Pi- LOL...Loe MC here....
      Mine is "Show time"....
      • oops "Leo"
        • The MC in my own chart has always been a bit of a puzzle for me because it is in Scorpio. It kinda scares me because my whole life has had a theme of transformation via building up and tearing down, especially personal relationships, with long periods of slow rumbling undercurrents followed by the volcanic crisis and purging. I'm not too "excited" about my MC! LOL! My sun is in Virgo in the 8th with Pluto in Virgo in the 7th conj the 8th house cusp. I guess there is some more of that Scorpionic influence going on with my sun by being in the 8th.

As I've gotten older I can look back and see that things have been torn down that needed to be, with or without my consent, and that I 've emerged a saner, wiser, and more stable person as a result of the "meltdown." I just wonder if the volcano will ever become "extinct" in my lifetime, or just lay "dormant" until I need to purge some other unwanted trait or lifestyle that I've become too attached to and that has ceased to benefit my well-being and personal, psychological, emotional, and/or spiritual growth.

          No planets in the 10th.

My 6th house is in Cancer with the moon and Mars in Cancer trine the MC from the 6th, (Mars is exact). These both square Mercury which rules both the 5th and 8th houses, (more Scorpio theme!) My emotions are ever active, both good and bad feelings are felt with equal passion, and it is a real challenge to "calm the seas" when they churn, especially at work.

My 2nd house is in Pisces with Neptune conj Venus in Scorpio in the 9th, widely conjunct the MC. Insecurity has plagued me my whole life and shows itself primarily in personal relationships which always becomes a cauldron waiting to burn me down to the bare bones whenever I dip into it. Additionally, my "path" has never been clear to me. I've always wanted to be a professional artist but haven't ever seen any opportunity to make a living at it. I wonder if Nepune aspecting the MC is to blame for this foggy "blindspot" regarding what my true "calling" is or should be.

Saturn is ruling the Capricorn ascendant and in the 1st house in Aquarius, widely conjunct the ascendant but making no aspects to the MC.
Saturn is widely trine my 8th house sun, and widely square Neptune. I guess the challenge Saturn is representing here is to rise above my extremely emotional perspective to see "the big picture" and channel all of this subjective experience into an objective, compassionate response to those I encounter, offering practical solutions to improve their lives and relieve their suffering. I don't know, I'm still putting the puzzle together. God knows I try to help anyone I can anyway I can.

I guess I'm not meant to leave this world the same person I was when I came in! LOL! But who is?

okay so im confused yall. astro.com says my MC is in Virgo, but other people are talking about the 10th house, is that strictly the MC or would i find that info under Planetary Positions as opposed to House Positions?

    House positions says MC=Virgo

Planetary positions, i dont have anything in 10th but Venus in Libra "end of 10th"

How do i make sense of all this?

      Roy,

I'm not a pro nor great at putting it all together, but i'll try until someone else can help.

In astrology their are different house systems ( different ways of calculating the chart ). I believe Placidus is the default, the one used at astro.com. So, possibly in one of the other house systems the 10th house sign would be different than your MC. For the Placidus and most, the 10th house/MC are the same sign. Just like the ASC (1st)is an important point int the chart as are IC(4th), DC(7th) , and MC(10th)

With Venus in Libra at the end of 10th, closer to the 11th would mean you have Libra on the 11th house cusp but at a higher degree than Venus (example: Your 11th house cusp Libra is 22 degrees and your Venus in Libra is 18 degrees....it would have to be at 22 degrees to be in 11th). Now if Scorpio is on the 11th house cusp then that would mean you have the sign Libra interceped in the 10th...a whole other thing which i can't absorb yet.)

Hope some of this will help a little.
  • There's a very interesting article in this month's Mountain Astrologer and the author postulates that Pisces/Neptune/12th house is another indicator of career; whereas the MC might suggest _how_ we carry out that career.
In a nutshell- the 12th and Neptune indicate where we interact on a non-ego level, like when we perform services for the public. It's an interesting article, check it out-
    • Hello everyone,

I am new on tribe.com, i am learning western and vedic astrology, i read the topics above, but im still confused by my MC in aries in 10th conjunct to Jupiter and Lot of Fortune; Sun is also in aries in 10th house. Moon in Capricorn in 6th house (cusp of 6th - sagitarius) ; Jupiter squares Moon...My career has nothing special , i'm working in a medical laboratory...
is there something missing there to me? i am a little bit worried now because pluto and jupiter transiting my 6th house will conjunct soon my moon but squaring natal MC and Jupiter.
Please is someone so kind to give me some hints about what's happening (or will happen)?
      Thanks.
