I've been reading most of the threads and you all seem to agree to a certain extent that Scorpio is the most intense/passionate sign.
Now I am dating a saggitarian (usually known for being laid back, cerebral, sociable etc) and I have found him to be extremely intense, profound and complex. My question is, how relevant is your Venus sign as opposed to your Sun Sign. Which describes you as a partner in romance more accurately?

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 9:52 AMvenus is the magnet that attracts things to you (the way i attract valuables/beauty towards myself is very emotionally intense and a bit corrosive... i do thid in my profession arena and social circles...)... sol is the "you" you are trying to become (true self)... identifying with your sun sign could be a false image developed by our need for ego structures (patriotism is a weird way to establish your ego as american [or wherever]... or "I am" indentities with personality traits that are superficial)... -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 3:44 PMruth: i have sun in scorpio, venus in saggitarius so I can indentify a bit. i can identify to sags a lot because of my venus but my sun makes me very intense and passionate. a lot of sags have venus in scorpio because scorpio is close to venus at the time of birth.

In partnership, Venus; as an individual ego, the Sun. -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 10:53 PMOk Ruth, He has Venus, Mars, and Jupiter in Scorpio and his Moon is in Cancer. That would explain alot of it :) -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 12:28 AMForgive my ignorance Sirius but what does that mean? Is he more scorpio than Saggitarius? -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 12:50 AMI'm definitely not an expert, but I would say that he probably has more Scorpio tendencies than Saggitarius with all that Scorpio influence. Plus his Moon being in Cancer will make him more emotional, moody, and intense too. -

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 1:19 AMMore willing to commit than a normal saggi? -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 2:40 AMI would think so. My dad is a Gemini Sun and Cancer Moon, and he's been happily and faithfully married to my mom for over 25 yrs :)
This is what one website says about Moon in Cancer:
"Moon in Cancer natives have a large potential to be able to get in touch with the feelings and moods of others. Often, they are quite wrapped up in themselves. Their memories of the past are outstanding, especially for all things emotional. Moon in Cancer people are never detached—they cling to things, their home, and people they care for. They seek out security and familiarity in all they do. They look for peace and quiet. Their attachment to all that is safe means they are a little leery of change. "

With Mars in Scorpio this may make for some wild nights... -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 8:00 AMI'm a Scorpio Mars in love with a Scorpio Venus. Most of the men in my life have had Venus in Scorpio prior to my knowledge. I have been so blessed/doomed but never regretful! -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 1:00 PMYes, I think the Venus can make a big difference in a relationship. Like my bf is an Aquarius Sun, Libra Moon, and his Venus is in Pisces, and usually Aquarius Sun's seem maybe a little 'cold' or detached emotionally. But he's actually very romantic and sensitive in the love department :)

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 7:18 AMi am both sagg sun with venus in scorpio, and i can attest to the fact that it does add significant sexual energy and intensity, with sagg being a mutable sign, i guess it puts up no barrier to the scorpio intensity -

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 10:55 AMRuth, what Heather said seems to ring true. Personal planets like Venus and Mars in Scorpio will tend to colour it alot, as well as the Moon in its home, sensitive Cancer. His Moon is also in trine to Venus, which would add to him being in touch with that. The Moon could also be in trine to his Mars, depending on what time he was born. Knowing his Ascendant also would be a big key.
As far as willing to commit, he has alot of planets in fixed and earth signs, which would add to alot of stability and desire for such in his life. And as Heather pointed out, people with the Moon in Cancer like to cling and have emotional security. Scorpio tends to be very guarded as to whom they alow to get close, especially in regards to their emotions and feelings, plus he has Venus opposition Saturn in his chart which adds to that alot.
If he has already allowed you to touch that point, you must be doing something right.
The moon is in opposition to Mercury in his chart, which can show a bit of a conflict between the head and his heart. Both are aspected by a T-square to Uranus, which shows alot of need for change or something different, and would affect his need to commit, so you need to add alot of variety and not allow it to become boring or routine with him. Try something "wild" and "different". lol

Re: Venus in Scorpio
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 11:16 AMWow, sirius that is so accurate. we have a very intense relationship in the sense that we discuss our feelings, emotions and thoughts quite deeply. My sun is in capricorn, my moon in aries , my ascendant in saggitarius and venus in aquarius. My DOB is 18 jan 1975. When you have a minute could you possibly check if our charts are compatible? Many thanks :) -
