CALI - These are regarded as very minor planetary influences, but in general you want to see how his Eros/Psyche interacts with your chart and how yours interacts with his. Where are his asteroids in your chart and where are yours in his, and are they aspecting any planets that might relate most to compatibility/sexuality? Knowing the signs they are in doesn't help as much as knowing the degrees and house placements (where they are in your chart and where they are in his), so that you can see how they are manifesting in the relationship.

Have you done a synastry chart before? That is where you want to start. I personally would compare the planets, house placements, angels and the nodes in detail before turning to asteroids, but hopefully you have already done that?

Eros is masculine in nature, and is about passion, which can relate to sex and what turns a person on. Yours being in Taurus shows that you might be more basic in sexual or creative expression (a meat and potatoes sort of sexuality), whereas he is into playing around and trying new things. He is also more cerebral than you, and may not need physical contact to receive erotic pleasure.

Psyche is feminine, and is sort of an extension of Venus (she was more beautiful that Venus), and relates to physical beauty, romantic love and having empathy for others. Both of your Psyche is in Scorpio, a fixed and passionate/possessive love sign with very deep emotions.

Yikes, well being separated is never great! If either of you have Venus in Aquarius, or maybe in your composite, that should help for the distance between you both. Venus in Aquarius is the type that falls under the "absence makes the heart grow fonder" definition, in my experience. Have you checked your transits for any major disturbances in your relationship during the time that you will be apart?

It takes a long time to learn astrology. It's like a puzzle that you have to put together - a bunch of small pieces that have bits of info that you must bring together to make a whole. I have been studying it off and on since I was a teenager (probably 15 years), but only started studying it seriously over the past year and a half. It also helps to get the right books/sources for whatever it is your are analyzing. Synastry/composite charts usually catch my interest over natal birth charts because I like to see how people relate to one another, esp. on a romantic level.

      That is interesting...

"The house Psyche occupies focuses on where one expects to find one's identity. For example, in the 5th house it is often through ideal love, and when the individual evolves above this concept they become increasingly creative. In the 2nd house it is often through material things, and by rising above this, the individual becomes increasingly generous and giving."

Mine are both in the 8th in Aquarius (no wonder I have no love life - more "fixed on autonomy"). I don't follow modern astrology as much, and I tend to have negative associations w/ the 8th, since old-school astrology says that "no planet rejoices there." I also don't usually associated it with sex (to me that's 5th house), but with the occult, obsession, vulnerability, fears, anguish of the mind, death, etc. It's weird how even minor planetary influences often coincide with other placements in one's chart. I have Psyche going after the north-west area of my chart - trine Pluto, sextile Moon, square Uranus in the 5th (my personal "blind spot," and Eros going after the south-east - square Sun, sextile Venus (with a partile orb) in the 11th/10th. They are aspecting the opposite areas of my chart, which is kind of weird, but actually makes logical sense, since Eros is more masculine in nature and outwardly expressed vs. the gentle nature of Psyche.
