I have natal pluto trine moon and sun, and venus trine uranus. And mars opp pluto. I tend to go for people with strong pluto and or uranus in their charts. I see a lot of strong synastry pluto /moon aspects (easy and hard- usually double synastry) and uranus/venus trines. And mars aspecting mars and/or pluto. Over and over again. Most of the synastry that I relate to is fire and water.

My moon is sag and I find attractions to people who have strong sag influences or strong jupiter aspects to their sun.

None of this surprises me. I like it. I haven't liked the saturn interferences that have stagnated things many times. I have saturn square sun natally and have had a lot of yucky saturn synastry that ignoring or thinking positively about hasn't helped...

The house placements in the synastry seem to have been pretty accurate. For instance in one my mars was in his 11th house and I was seen as nothing but a fun friend. His was in my 5th.... Oh well. In another his sun in my 8th which was really nice for me, but my sun or moon (I forget) was in his 7th, and I didn't feel that way at all. I have one friendship that at one point I had hoped for more, and that synastry is really interesting and is close to a grand sextile. A lot of the synastry aspects are completely reversed in their effects. The house placements seem to go the normal way. Weird.

For some reason I've had friendships and attractions to people who have strong natal 12th house placements lately. Not sure why. In all but one I think they become more aware of their own 12th house stuff through me. But I think that's something transitory. It doesn't seem to effect me nearly as much as them. I do have transiting neptune trine my asc right now, that could be part of it.

I'm curious as to how you connected all the planets using my uranus midpoint.. I'm still trying to understand it. What did you mean by uranus square= moon? I think I'm one sextile short of having a kite pattern. My saturn and pluto have a very wide orb, astro.com didn't even consider it a sextile. Guys I tend to fall for usually have their venus either in my 3rd, 9th, or 6th(conjuncts, opposes, and squares my uranus). The 5th and 11th house venus in synastry would square my pluto, haven't been involved with guys who squared my pluto. It's very interesting how you analyzed my pattern. You went for the ruler of my pluto's sign, being the only planet that disconnects with my uranus. I guess that's why I need someone's venus to connect with my uranus. I have yet to meet someone who harmoniously actiavtes my uranus. Maybe that will be more stable without losing all the excitement. :-) Thanks Pi for reading my chart

I found it so interesting that you have a strange uranus pattern like mine that I had to look in your chart Rachel!

I won't say too much, but here is what I noticed (it is quite similar to my chart btw)

Uranus midpoint pattern:
Uranus square= moon/juno=neptune/sun=vertex+mercury/IC=saturn/mars=jupiter/Nnode=MC/pluto.

Missing planets in this structure: chiron+venus in taurus (ruled by venus), Ascendant, Descendant

GFT (grand fire trine)
kiting to retro pluto in libra - so venus is the house ruler for your pluto that is making your GFT into a kite.

A person with venus squaring your uranus will fill in a lot of that influential venus energy that rules your kiting pluto but is not represented currently in your midpoint structure.
Looks like it would totally re-focus the chart from a uranus midpoint to a venus midpoint and "light you up" with venus energy...like a tranformation. It probably activates that GFT nicely.

I have something analagous.

I have GWT (grand water trine)
and uranus = sun/moon=vertex/descendant= blah blah blah you can look in my chart but just like you, my uranus brings in every part of my chart except for mercury in my case (my chart ruler and the ruler of the house uranus is in). Analogous to your venus.

So for me it is people with stuff around 20ish taurus 12th house which opposes that scorpio uranus and reforms my uranus midpoint structure. But this happens in my 12th house instead of for you happening in the 5th and 11th houses.
Interesting to note: One of the persons I noticed this pattern with since getting interested in astrology had mercury opposing uranus...kinda like you and your venus squaring urans. I wonder about the other guy - don't have his chart or birth date any more because ... I purged it all out of me lol!

Now for you, someone's venus squaring your uranus and falling in your 5th or 11th house sounds like a strong friendship or a pleasurable experience in general and quite exciting.

For me, someone's mercury opposing my uranus and falling in my 12th house is just WIERD and confusing every single time. I'm at a loss actually and don't even know what to do anymore.

No matter how varied our tastes are it would always have a constant pattern. That is very interesting. Uranus played a big role in my synastries but not in my natal chart. It's in my 3rd house and it only makes 2 aspects, one is a quincux to my sun, the other a very wide square. It doesn't make any contact with my natal venus. Where is your uranus located in your natal chart, Pi?

I know a guy who has venus square uranus in his natal, and he has an eccentric attitude about women. I wouldn't say he likes weird ones or weird relationship setting. He just doesnt adhere to any values that are typical of his culture. Like you Coors, he's also torn between being committed and being free. And I think that's why I liked him With venus trine uranus in your composite chart.. do you feel that your relationship now is more settled since it's a more harmonius aspect?

With venus and mars contacts, I can vouch for the conjunction. Its reputation for being hot and heavy holds true.
I agree with what others have said already. You'll keep encountering the aspects and signs which are a major issue for you and whose lesson you will need to learn until you evolve.

I wonder what we need to learn with our uranus aspecting venus in synastry. Will it be incorporating our freedom-loving spirit in a very committed relationship, or just find a relationship that's more eccentric, non traditional?

Hi All,
Looking for recurring themes and patterns in synastry has been an interest of mine. I have a very specific pattern I noticed, both with my friends and with my past romantic partners. When it comes to platonic relationships, a large number of my friends are leos. I usually get along very well with my fellow fire signs (being an aries myself). We just get each other's mean humour I guess :-) Air signs are compatible with me too, platonically. But I have never been drawn to any air or fire sun signs romantically.

Moving on to romantic partners.... 2 ex bfs of mine were scorpios. They even had the same birthday. one lasted for 2 years, the other for 2 months. I probably did it on purpose, lol. Scorpio guys were not the only ones I've been drawn to though.. I was so much infatuated with a pisces and a taurus as well. But there's one aspect that's constant in all of them. Their venuses always made a hard aspect to my uranus. Conjunctions, square, and opposition, with a tight orb as well. I had all that in our synastries. That probably explains why they never lasted or they're just one of those short-term affair while on vacation thing. It's true what they say about venus/uranus contacts, they really are electrifying. I don't think I'm the uranian type even so I don't know why I keep attracting that aspect.

I would love to have a more stable type of relationship but the problem is, I can't get interested to someone who doesn't make that aspect in our synastry. It's just one of those must-haves for me. Maybe I get bored easily when my relationship plateaus so I unconsciously look for someone who's really unavailable.

Also within this age group of around 3-4 years older their Neptune is squaring my Asc, very confusing for me.
It's funny tho as those I end up getting closer to & trusting more are often in their 40's or older, iv not yet checked such synastry.

That is a crazy saturn-12th house pattern, wow! It really amazes me, actually.
Does it reflect anything in your own chart? (I tried to look >.<)

Me:
I like the discussion about elements. I'm 18%fire, 27%air, 14%earth and 41% water.

Pattern: Uranus=sun/moon in 6th house.
It seems to dominate everything in my life and romance is no exception!
So people with virgo, aquarius, taurus, and scorpio influences -especially people with more than one of these as strong influences.

Can't say a lot about patterns for SURE because I don't remember people's birthdays and I only recently got into astrology.
But I KNOW of two taureans who I got involved with (one of them might have actually been nothing romantic-but definitely involved in a way I have not allowed myself to get involved before-I still don't know what was going on with his stupid mercury and sun in my 12th opposing uranus ... I am just lost)
They both had their suns opposing that uranus=sun/moon which means their suns also were at a very sensitive spot in my chart being a new midpoint for the whole thing -angles, asteroids and all (except mercury and pof).
They both had significant stuff in late virgo as I remember -one with a stellium and the other with his moon.

Other than that...I know that my first boyfriend who I still talk to all the time is an aquarius.
I know that two of the others acted like the classic crazy aquarius and look like the classic aquarius-could be their rising sign because their features were very angular and strong and their mannerisms were quite distinct and zany each in their own way. One of them, at least, was very, very non-emotional(I highly suspect libra and gemini too in this one...this one didn't last at all with all my emotionality). The other one was a bit scorpionic, dark, quiet with a surprisingly strong emotionality underneath and a "tough-guy" exterior.
And another that I can remember certainly had a virgo streak in him...probably taurus and scorpio as well. He was sooooo methodical and controlled(also controlling) and sooooooo particular and secretive and possessive. He was very into his things and money.

I wish I knew more!
But with uranus and the 6th/12th axis appearing to be such major themes, I sometimes wonder if I can ever find something that works long-term. Not just because of the astrology but also because of my own instability, difficulties with trust and the history of scary and unusual occurances in my romantic history.

Men seem to go crazy around me. One guy who claims he "just lost it" around me said that the undies I ended up leaving at his place when I ran away for my life still brought that out in him <screams of terror>. Another guy sat their lighting a little campfire of matches on his ARM right before we hit the rocks officially. That first boyfriend is now doing time for getting involved with an under-aged girl. Another one dresses in all black now and "only likes to come out at night" -spent a year or so not working and just hiding alone at his dad's house after we broke up.
Another one told me that "he didn't want me to drive to his house because he didn't want me to be able to go home if I wanted to" right before we broke up.
Another one couldn't break up with me so he decided to be cruel to me to make me want to break up with him instead. Now he says he can't believe the way he acted back then and is soooo sorry.

What do I do to people? Good Lord! Someone help me >.<

Uranus, 6th and 12th are rarely mentioned as strong indicators of a successful relationship! I don't know where the pattern comes from or how to break it but mostly I just give up :)

UNCLE!!!
I have too many other things going for me in life to let myself get concerned about this part of it too much.
w/e I don't need it.

As my relationship tendencies become narrowed down as I get older, it seems I tend to have fire/earth lovers and air/water friends. And of course it helps to have a friend in your lover. There needs to be a different kind of give & take in each kind of relationship, and you need to find the right kind. I find that the elements play a HUGE role in relationships, even more than having "ideal" romantic aspects sometimes. My best friend is very deficient in the fire element, and my girlfriend is very deficient in air. I have an abundance of both fire & air, a healthy balance of water and a slight deficiency of earth. She has an over-abundance of earth, while he has a healthy balance of it. He has an over-abundance of water while she has next to none. Because they both have stelliums in oppsotie signs, and he has been my best friend for 20 years, I have a strong feeling that my girlfriend and I could bein for the long-haul together.

I always THOUGHT that I needed a sensitive, intuitive WATER-SIGN-LIKE person as a lover...and that this somehow indicates an ability to give romantic love. The truth is, it doesn't. My best friend can "read" me much better than my girlfriend can. There is much more of a frontier in this area between me and her, than between me and him...and that frontier keeps us searching for something in each other...whereas between me and my friend it is "settled" and there is no particular passion to find something in each other...it is already there, calm and relaxed. The real frontier between me an dhim lies in the Fie element, of which HE has almost none.He has almost NO ability to find inspiration. He has Saggittarius Rising, but the way he works with that energy is awkward and pathetic. With a fire Grand Trine between Mars, Jupiter and my Part-of-Fortune, I work with fire energy very well...something which becomes a frontier for uswhen we do things together. He has an over-abundance of earth and water, and my frontier with him is to learn from him how to manage my feelings in a more practical manner (I tend to be a bit volatile and inflammatory!)

Games without frontiers are doomed to be short lived.

First two girlfriends plus my own mother had strong Leo/Virgo/Cancer combinations.
Then I dated an Aries/Pisces/Taurus combo for a short time.
Then I was with a Gemini/Pisces/Cancer combo for 2 years who had Sagg Rising like me
Then I dated a Taurus/Pisces/Aries combo.
Then I had a Leo/Virgo/Cancer (full circle?!)

I am currently with an Aries with Leo Moon, Taurus stellium, Gemini Rising and subtle Piscean/Neptunian overtones. She is the only one to possess a combination of nearly every sign I have encountered closely in past relationships. It seems that the most recurring theme is Leo, followed by Taurus, Aries, Gemini and Pisces respectively. Pisces or Neptune have always been like a thin glaze or embellishment in all my romantic relationships.

Interestingly enough , my best friend (male) is almost the exact opposite of my current GF. He's a LIBRA with a SCORPIO stellium and SAGGITARIUS Rising...but he has some Taurus overtones too. My 11th house are ruled by Libra/Scorpio...my 5th by Aries/Taurus. I have Sagg Rising like my best friend, and she Gem Rising...opposite to both of us.

In 1997 at the age of 25, I suddenly started to have relationships with Taurus women who had their Suns conjunct my Saturn.

I frequently also had Scorpionic male friends, Libras, or Saggitarius...concentrated in that sector of the zodiac.

Interesting how my male and female friends turn out to be exactly opposite.

The other day I took a look at some of the people in my life...ran composites and the like and found some very interesting things....

1. For my top 3-4 friends that I feel the closest too and my parents there is always a 12th house connection. For almost every single relationship the composite Saturn sits in my 12th house. Indiivdually we share the following 12th house placements:

Best GF - my Sun in her 12th house
Best Guy Friend - his Moon and Venus in my 12th house
Good GF - her Saturn in my 12th house
Good GF - her Venus in my 12th house
Good GF - My Neptune and NN in her 12th house and her Vertex in my 12th house
My Father and Mother- Pluto in my 12th house

2. Looking at all those friends they don't have planets that are in Hard aspect to my Sun Moon Midpoint....however they all have their Sun/Moon midpoints in only Fire Signs. In fact 2 friends have their S/M midpoint exactly trine mine.

Anyone else notice any interesting recurring themes?
