Has anyone had this feeling?
Through most of my years as a kid, I felt this way almost every single day... and, sometimes, to the date. Its been lowering as I get older, but still. Sometimes I think that, IN FACT, it makes virtually no difference if I enter a room or not.
So, has anyone (neptune conj asc people or any other aspect aspecting it) had this feeling too?

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Mon, September 25, 2006 - 5:51 PMI have 12th house Nept conj Scorpio Asc.3 1/2* orb. . I put the "maybe same feeling" into more of an Alien feeling..
Even amongst the other so called "Aliens", I don't really fit. I read that this aspect give us, the posibility that it takes along time till we understand ourselfs, maybe all our life. Neptune would "Fog up" or Make it hard for us to see what we project into the world (Rising).. Is Nept. in your 1st or 12th house?,what sign? And whats the orb?, I'm curious..
Not sure this is this But I can be invisible if I want, though it takes effort. Draw energies very close and quiet. Walk by people and they don't notice you. Extend those energies outward, and I'm noticed and remembered, Though I'm never quite sure what gets projected. -

Mon, September 25, 2006 - 5:57 PMOk I just looked.5* orb..Actually makes sence. I'm more on an emotional level (Water). Your more Solid substance (Earth).. Physical presance feeling less ...well.. Solid.. -

Mon, September 25, 2006 - 6:13 PMyes, I know that but there is another side to it and that is being aluring both are fun try it because if you can be unseen you can equally be noticed .
Either way ten years from now, you will have ladies who you went to school say to you by name I remember you -you were here wearing that .
Think of film -when we watch movies it is as if we know the person even if not -our personnas have some of that kind of thing happening-an unrealness in the realness.

"Ok I just looked.5* orb..Actually makes sence"
really, what do you mean? what does it make sense?
"Though I'm never quite sure what gets projected"
exactly!
"Physical presance feeling less ...well.. Solid.."
hahah, arize once pointed this one out very clearly. how saturn and neptune are opposites, and how when saturn would get things being real, neptune would come over and dissolve them and viceversa.. this could be true in any sign, "but in fucking capricorn? sounds like the beginning of a bad joke!" hahahahhaa

Kate:
"but there is another side to it and that is being aluring "
exactly! thats where neptune-being-venus's-higher-octave thingie comes up and sort of fits in the rest of the scene. while venus is charming (although neptune rules CHARMS), i think you nailed it down perfectly with ' alluring ' . yeah, youre right. i think one can be either invisible or charming/alluring/and-remembered with this one, yet it IS difficult, especially that part where DragonWire said one would probably be trying to define (asc?) what s/he portrays to the world admist.. the foggy confusion (nep, of course)..

Wow, that's interesting, DragonWire. My boyfriend has a 12th house Neptune conjunct his Scorpio ASC.
He was anything but invisible went we first met. My eyes almost fell out of my head when I first saw him. It was the classic crowded room and I noticed him right away sitting at a table across a packed dance floor. After our first dance (thankfully he noticed me too), I knew he was my chicken in every pot :-).
I don't think he feels invisible.

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Mon, September 25, 2006 - 9:33 PMHow I get the Nept conj Asc is It for me puts a unreal-ness to the Acs, I think of both Nept and it's natural house the 12th as the place of Dreams, Another place, not of solid reality. Could be fantasy, creative thinking, physic tendencies, delusional stuff, out right craziness even.
Louis- ever heard Capricorn is like a Scorpio in a suit”.. Some truth to this..
And the opposite ½ of Capricorn is that mushy intuitive “I want my mommy” ..LOL Cancer.. Whether what you were asking has to do w/ Nept 12th conj. I’m not sure either.
But what you said struck a note..
Juanita- “He was anything but invisible went we first met. My eyes almost fell out of my head when I first saw him. Not surprising.. If you noticed him strongly, he noticed you, no drought. That’s that stuff in the other world. Attention sense. Maybe he noticed you 1st ,and got you to notice him w/o even realizing he was doing it…

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 12:30 AMi don't have this natally, but currently, and for some months to come, neptune is transitting my aquarius AC/venus/mercury conjunction.
i don't feel infisible at all. i feel, many days, more visible than i had intended to be. that could be uranus transiting over my sun.
i have been kind of wanting to learn new things and develop certain philosophical sides of myself that many might consider "mystical". i have been struggling with my addiction to nicotine. i have been struggling with my intuition (and how much to lean on it). i have been struggling with how i approach romantic relationships and how i love myself. and like with most things, i am unable to keep them fully private. -

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 6:03 AMNatally I have Neptune sextile Asc/Pluto
I relate to what you said Dragon-
" I put the "maybe same feeling" into more of an Alien feeling..
Even amongst the other so called "Aliens", I don't really fit. I read that this aspect give us, the posibility that it takes along time till we understand ourselfs, maybe all our life. Neptune would "Fog up" or Make it hard for us to see what we project into the world (Rising)"
Kind of like a misunderstood thing at times. But maybe that is the Uranus influences too.

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 6:16 AMNo.
But.
I am a sagitarius
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imag...oodcut.png
www.astro.com/astrology/in_kd_sag_e.htm
Astrologers think the centaur is a good symbol for those born under this sign, because they generally love travelling,
That is false.
I hate travelling.
Sagittarius people need plenty of freedom, because they want to experience as much of life as they can. They are unhappy when tied down to a routine, and happiest when starting off on something new. Walking is a favourite Sagittarian pastime,
For me. That is true.
Sagittarians also have restless, adventurous minds, and like to take up new studies. Many Sagittarians are keenly interested in philosophy and the world of ideas, and they also love to have a good time and are fun to be with.
Sagittarius is a fire sign, like Aries and Leo. If you are a Sagittarius, you will probably find that as you grow older you want to travel. You should have a lively and inquiring mind, and will always be asking questions about everything. Above all, you should have great faith in yourself,
Thank you.
I do.

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 7:54 AMI liked your article. I have Venus-Neptune conjunct in the 9th house in Scorpio, less than 3 degrees apart. (I'm a musician, artist, and writer). I've definitely fallen victim to my idealized vision of others and been sorely disillusioned. I've experienced power struggles at work and in love relationships,(Mars trine Venus and MC from 6th conjunct the moon in Cancer on the 7th). I've had power struggles with my superiors, resulting in utter upheavals and transformations in my life and orientation to others, (Venus and Neptune both sextile Pluto which rules the 10th and is conjunct the 7th/8th cusp). I have Jupiter forming a wide trine to this conjunction from Pisces in the 1st house. This both attracts Neptunian types, ie., dreamers, "losers," addicts, deceivers, wayward, needy, or wounded souls to me and helps me recover positively when they go, gaining inspiration for my art. Uranus is quintile Venus and tightly opposing Jupiter from the 7th and has helped me become more intuitive as I grow and mature. I'm learning to balance my compassion with wisdom and have had very painful lessons regarding developing appropriate boundaries. I definitely swing from hermit to party girl and back in a nano-second! Overall, with my Capricorn Ascendant conjunct Saturn in the 1st in Aquarius and squaring this conjunction but trining my Virgo sun in the 8th, I see my very slow maturity as useful in developing a deeper, more practical but universal vision of life and love expressing in my art. Thanks again for the insightful and inspiring article!

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 11:35 AMlouis, i often feel what i call 'transparent' but invisible is a powerful word too.
my 12 house stellium is responsible and was much worse as a kid...i also have sun square neptune, a 12 house sun, along with a neptune opposition from saturn in the my 1st house.
i get a lot of help with this from my aries rising along wtih other fire influences..otherwise i'd be non-existant due to the completely different reality of the 12 house i'm so familiar with. ;-) -

Tue, September 26, 2006 - 12:02 PMstar_fish:
ahah x) yeah, i think i could have used the word transparent as well... even though you may see through something either invisible or transparent, the difference is, you ACKNOWLEDGE the existence of something transparent.. erm.. where was i? ah yes, anyways, yes, thank you, i couldve used that word as wlel
"my 12 house stellium is responsible and was much worse as a kid.."
so very true! ive also got a 12th house stellium (which stretches all the way to the 1st), and, INDEED, it was way, way worse as a kid. i dont know, perhaps its been the self-consciousness whats made a difference, i dont know, but.. god, im just grateful all those years are loong gone by now and, although some of their influence is still present, its diminuishing every day, anyways. which is also something good
"i get a lot of help with this from my aries rising along wtih other fire influences.."
now, there, thats where i disagree. with 9 out of 10 planets in feminine signs... i havent had that sort of help in, well, all my life. if i shall think of an equivalent to your "aries rising along with other fire influences" i must say.. its, oh yeah, definitely my Scorpio Moon/Aquarius Sun square and the strong will it confers (and, plus, the other bunch of fixed planets ive got too). thats, i think, whats made me GET UP and DO something about.. something. "othrewise id be non-existant due to the completely different reality of the 12 house im so familiar with"!!
once i read, also, that a nep conj asc person should be really careful around alcohol, drugs and whatnot.
i dont know about you, nep-cong-asc and 12th-housey people...
but im terrific-ly attracted to doing all sort of things and getting lost (not literally, but the other figured sense). -

Tue, September 26, 2006 - 1:47 PMMy daughter has Neptune in 12th Scorpio closely conjunct Scorp. ASC. She has had precognative dreams all her life. Not often, but amazing when they happen.
She has a Sag. Moon which probably enhances that ability. Yet, I don't think she feels invisable, but she can definately be duped by others. -

Tue, September 26, 2006 - 6:33 PMThera- I think everyone has to some extent. It's there in everyone, just some pay more attention to it than others. Or are one foot out of this world, so can translate it ti reality better.. It happened to me alot that I feel a Deja-vu, or after something happens then I realize, I knew this already.

Re: Being Invisible: Neptune conjunct ASC
Tue, September 26, 2006 - 9:15 PMFrom Liz Greene's "The Astrological Neptune and the Quest for Redemption"
Paraphrased: 12th house describes our legacy of ancestors. Here we find our deepest roots in terms of race, religion, and our family culture. We have inherited generational images, myths, traditions, feelings, and dreams from our "stock". Forgetten places, the past, skeletons in the familial closet all belong to the 12th house.
"Neptune in the 12th house is a transmitter of the richness, darkness, and light which came before us." Can also describe a mother's pregnancy. Love this sentence: "As a medium for the archetypal themes of ancestral collective, Neptune in the 12th is particularly attuned to feelings and images of suffering and redemption." Religious issues (which can be ancestral baggage) are dealt with a 12th h.n. and it's important for this person to learn about his/her spiritual heritage. Can be dragged home in spite of ourselves... not only in religion, but in art, in self-expression, where the person exhibits an "old soul" interested in things possibly long-dead.
More 12th House Nep: Craving for drugs. Inclination towards retreat. Receptive. Spiritual. Suffering savior. Visionary. Artist. "The buck stops here."
I haven't had an opportunity to read the entire book (am working on it!). So I'm not sure if she covers Neptune conjunct ASC. -
