Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 10:29 AMToo stubborn and passionate when it comes to love? Depends on your persepctive. Venus in Taurus refers to a deep-seated loyalty, slow to earn but lasting forever. The heart is not won over quickly for those with Venus in Taurus but once in love, they remain in love even long after a relationship ends. Consistency of affection is the measure of amor for these lovers. -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 11:08 AMRemi, if I remember correctly (I've seen you around on Tribe before) - you have an opposition between Venus in Taurus and Pluto in Scorpio right? Could it be that Scorpio influence that adds passion to your nature? Because when I think of Taurus, passion is not the first word that comes to mind. Passion, to me, has always been more of a Scorpio thing. -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 11:22 AMheh, well in my chart I have moon in scorpio conjunct pluto. venus in taurus opposite pluto. venus opposite moon.
..i was having an interpretation done and they mentioned something about those aspects and venus being in taurus that we idealize love. Meaning that we have an ideal and if they don't match up to it, good riddance..
atleast that's what it said. -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 11:26 AMalso it said anything conjunct pluto is more intense (didn't want to use that word but couldn't find anything else to explain it)...
and if that person was right with your almost (maybe..?) same placements as me... then it was like your emotions run deeper than normal. then the fact that moon conj. pluto in SCORPIO.. well you get the picture [i hope]. -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 12:39 PMThe guy I was in love with has a Venus in Taurus & he really wants everything in its place to start something meaningful. But, even if he was with a woman he was in love very much, he cheated on her on daily basis. So, he cheated on her for some time & didn't feel bad about it cause he didn't feel anything about those women. But, first time he had sex with someone that he felt something about, he broke up with his love even if he still loved her.
For me it was surprise, cause he kept his sex life very uncovered, and I really idolized him being very steady & loyal. -

Tue, August 21, 2007 - 2:11 PMTiffany,
I also heard that Venus in Taurus people are supposed to be unavoidably attractive and charming. I think someone told me George Clooney has a Venus in Taurus. Oh well, my Venus almost hit my Taurus, but decided to make itself at home in Aries instead. *shrugs*
...it's ok, I'm still beautiful! :-) -

hehe considering that one of the most important skill needed in boxing is side-stepping, I'm not surprised they have this placement.. -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 9:41 PMMars in Cancer: is supposed to be weak. Tell that to the late Sugar Ray Robinson, who was probably (pound for pound) the greatest boxer of all time. Since Cancer is the sign of female biological functions, women with Mars here tend to be stronger than normal. Remember that Mars is the planet of energy and action, wherever it is placed, and Cancer is a Cardinal Sign, a sign of action. The energy just tends to go into the emotions, that’s all. Of course, this can lead to more than the usual number of arguments, disputes, and fights. Sugar Ray wasn’t the only boxing champion with this placement. If you live with someone who has this placement of Mars, keep them busy around the house. As long as that energy has an outlet, the chance of arguments will be minimized.
You also got George Foremen
Mike Tyson....

Very true for this venus , moon & juno in Taurus.
My Gemini sun, (Gem ruling the hands), gives me passionate hands... washing hair, molding clay, cooking, gardening...love those hands in the earth...anything tactile...love making , well of course, what do you expect from a venus taurus? Stubborn? yep . .. gotta have something to balance/temper/guide/protect that loyalty

Since Taurus is a Moon-related sign and all.... -

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 10:41 AMI think, for me, it might add in some paranoia regarding potential relationships. I tend to worry too much and try to find out if someone might be interested (in a way that does not at all reveal my own feelings), and I sort of self-sabotage that way. Good stuff!

Re: Venus in Taurus
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 4:07 PMMy GF has Venus in Taurus and I blow her away (usually).
Well, stubborn, YES, that she is. But not so much in love as with her opinions and convincing her of anything.
My passion sends her running at times (Me: Mars in Aries, Venus in Pisces, Moon in Scorpio). I know there's no way I can NOT sound like I'm somehow bragging...but it IS true, I swear. She likes things sweet, easy and verysensuous (we both share that).
The fact that she's an Aries with a Leo Moon makes her passionate, but she's just not as hot as me, sorry. I have to go slow and easy for her, or she gets overwhelmed. Venus in Taurus (in my latest experience). She also gets tired before me, which surprises me alot because she also has Mars in Taurus. It's funny because she's the woman and I'm the man...but she's spreadeagled, relaxed and satisfied in 15 minutes, whereas I'll come back for seconds, thirds and fourths if I stop at all! Maybe my Saturn in Taurus has directed and disciplined my Aries energy over time to be more like Taurus. After all, another 3 degrees and my Mars would be IN Taurus and is semi-sextile to Saturn.
Whatever. All I'm saying is that Venus in Taurus seems more sensuous than passionate to me...and I will give her (my GF) that. She is a tad more sensous more than me, or at least is better at relaxing.
Another thing: Taurus and all her Taurus planets are in the 12th House, so maybe she expresses the Taurean energy meekly or in a diffused way. Her sensuality is wonderful, and totally makes up for her lack of searing passion. At this point in our relationship we are totally adjusted.

Re: Venus in Taurus
Thu, August 30, 2007 - 12:53 AMSensuality makes sense as a strong point, for sure. And I could definitely see the passion differentiation between you two as a Mars thing, as that planet would be more oriented towards energetic passionate displays - and Taurus tends to do more of the slow and steady thing, so it would probably not show as much passion there (at least not the same type as an Aries Mars). But the short lived-ness doesn't quite fit in as obviously. Interesting...
