Yep, leo rising. I have a mane of hair.

Yes. Pretty much. Sagg gives me a tall lean slender look, semi-athletic, and like a horse I sometimes tend to scrape and stamp my feet restlessly.
I think Rising Signs affect superficial physical behvaior, too.

Sagg rules the thighs and on those rare occasions where I bump or bang myself, it is usually on my thighs. Furthermore, I am also especially atrracted to things and hips on women. And when I buy chicken, it's usually a package of boneless-skinless THIGHS! LoL!

Now I have a chance to talk about dispositors again! Yay!
If you look to at the planet that rules your first house cusp/ascendant and it's placement by sign and house, it should give a very clear picture of your "physical behavior", not just your appearance. In the long run, this "physical behavior" is what will shape your looks, anyway, so it's a very powerful indicator.

I have Sagg Rising, and Jupiter rules Sagg....and my Jupiter is on the cusp of Sagg and Capricorn (thus also in the Leo-decan of Sagg)...and also in the first house. So I guess that makes me a STRUTTING HORSEY GOAT MAN! Plus, my tightest aspect to Jupiter is to Saturn...so that would bring out the Capricorn traits in my physicla appearance and behavior. I am truly in my element when jumping around on a rocky landscape. I am also somewhat conservative and austere for a Sagg-rising person. I prefer dressing conservatively and I am not pre-disposed to flamboyant behavior in public.

But ENOUGH about me!

Lets use another example.
My significant-other has Gemini Rising....the opposite of my Sagg Rising, lucky me.
Mercury rules Gemini, but her Mercury is in Taurus in the 12th house.
So this girl has a flighty demeanor like many Geminis, and she likes books and conversation, travelling. She is witty, like a Gemini. You don;t always see it coming.
However, that Gemini is disposed by Mercury in Taurus. She has a plodding, slow, step-by-step, patient, and deliberate conversation style...not to mention she is rather serious. All this is rooted deeply in her subconcious (12th House)....which makes her somewhat shy and sensitive about it....because SHE doesn't see it coming either. There is much more to her than just this, but outwardly it IS her basic behavior. Maybe this is like a person who wears her suol on her sleeve but has learned to be slow and careful about it.
Therefore, I really must empasize that the rising sign is not just about the chiseled structure of one's face and body, but also how they move and express themselves.

I do apparently ! For years I thought I was born at a different time than I was actually born and dozens of times astrologers would say to me "Are You sure You have Scorpio Rising?" "you look more like you should have Sagittarius Rising "and it turned out that they were right . The Doctor who delivered me also delivered my first cousin the same day and switched the times on the paper work.

I've found that there's a lot of things that influence physical appearance, such as these aspects (which are in my own chart)...

- Pisces intercepted (or engulfed) in the 1st house.
- A Virgo stellium in my 7th house.
- Aquarius rising, Uranus itself with a yod pointing at it.
- Pluto square ascendant.
- A VERY strong Gemini influence in my chart (Moon/Mars/IC all conjunct).
- Jupiter in Leo, in my 6th house.
- Chiron in Cancer, in my 6th house.
- My 6th house cusp in Cancer.

I have the mechanical-looking forearms of both Aquarius and Gemini types, the strong shoulders only a Mars in Gemini can possess, the soft yet intelligent look that Virgos and Cancers carry with them, a dreamy yet future-looking appearance of a Pisces and Aquarius, am taller than most of the women in my family and nearly as tall as the men, with some chubbiness. I'm a strange mix of all of those influences...I have dark hair (brown), fine and curved eyebrows, bony fingers, strong legs and arms, full lips, large and magnetic eyes, and a pale complexion. I'm just me. There's not another like me.

yes.....though coming more and more into myself everyday.....you also have to remmember that there are certain aspects and transits you have to go through for alot of us to acheive the potential in your looks as well......
I am a libra rising with venus in taurus as my ruler at the end of the 7th house interpreted in the 8th(which tech gives aspects of both but most would say its 8th house influence)
conjunct moon in taurus in the 8th
I have pluto in scorpio which retrograded into my first house
(thats all connected)
gemini sun in the 9th
jupiter in aquarius in the 5th
mercury and mars in cancer conjunct in the 9th

ok moon and venus are both square jupiter
indeulgence with food sex and others
and I casn't remmeber the rest of the interpretation but many with this are overweight until they can discipline themselves(anyone care to interpret...that was a shitty interpretation)
I was on medicince as a kid that caused me to gain weight and then became indulgent and now am just finishing learning my lesson from this aspect and am getting closer to reaching my potential and even though I don't consider myself close to that yet...what I am seeing is allready amazing.....

certain aspects also come into effect later....
I in my younger years had very LOW self esteem....I would shuffle my feet when I walked and look at the ground.....I went through a pluto sun opposition and cleared out a lot of internal mess(it was crazy) and now am much more confident(still working on it) and look foward and started to notice more and more that I considered knowing someones name(and calling them by there name) and looking into there eyes when they spoke to me a sign of respect and me giving them my full attention) I notice I do tend to stare people down....or look at people with a sort of intensity(hard to explain) but it is becoming more and more prominent....also now that I have cleared out a lot of my own mess my friends also comment that I am very intense when I talk to them(I am fearless when it comes to talking about insecurities my own and my friends) its unnerving for them(thats off topic) anyway just we are all planned out before we are made....it isn't predestiny or free will its both .......were filled with potential and the free will to live up to it which is my point and can affect our looks too(example is if I chose not to work on myself and alter my lifestyle)
and also that we come into ourselves through certain transits

with the sun in gemini in the 9th trine jupiter in aquarius in the 5th(which jupiter in the 5th is said to be the kids who are puny when they kids and then fill out and become real manly when they get older) I was never puny when I was a baby I was allready muscular(my mother would make jokes about it) when I was a kid I allready had broad shoulders and even as a fat kid(though I gain weight all over..funny enough) I didn't look as fat as it made me look bigger(everyone called me big boy and whenever I gain weight people think I am lifting weights) but I grew a lot after highschool(5'8 5'11) and filled out even more in my body size as well between 18-21 and now that I am finally really starting to push my body to its potential I am seeing more AMAZING things after being insecure about my looks my whole life(realized I wasn't dealt such a bad hand more than I wasn't using my potentiol...anyway sorry for my tangent got to get back on with work(at school)

my dads 5'6 my is 5'6 only my moms dad is tall at 6'1(gemini with leo rising) and I turned out to be this kid 5'10-5'11 with a football players build...big bones a lot of natural muscle(a lot) and a slim waist...its wierd theres no one in my family like that

From a description I read in an astrology book (wish I could remember which one) , I do. Cancer rising. However, i'm sure aspects have a play in it, maybe house too? I have my moon in the 4th (rising sign ruler).

I remembered the book after I posted...Twelve Houses by Howard Sasportas. He briefly mentions physical appearances by which sign is on ascendant.

My ascendant is at the Cancer/Leo cusp. Trying to look at everything from there just gets too confusing. I'm tall and broad-shouldered yet with a small frame, the only person in my family with gray eyes, was born with blonde hair that's over the years turned either very dark blonde or light brown, and have a narrow face. I know that I've read that Cancer Suns and Asc. tend to have very sensitive skin, and that's very much true of me.

I agree with Zane... I'm a Gemini Rising and unfortunately the description only fits about half the time. LOL I have Jupiter in Cancer conjunct the ASC and so my body does this weird cycle where I'm skinny as a rail for 2 years, then chubby and curvy for 2 years, on and on. In facial traits, I think you see more of the Gemini and Aries in me though.

There's an experiment going on with this... I think it's called AstroFaces or something similar. They take the Sun, Moon and ASC and post pictures of people having those 3 placements in common. It was ages ago that I saw it though, so I'm not sure of the website...

I'm not entirely sure about my ascendant:I either have a Libra ascendant,at 0 degrees,or a Virgo Ascendant(the Taurus Decan).In the first case, Moon,Mars and Jupiter form a tight trine to with my Ascendant,and is Uranus square my Ascendant.How exactly does that affect my appearance?I've read an article about Jupiter conjunct the Ascendant,and how that makes people look "large".I have always had problems keeping fit,because I love food,and am rather self-indulgent,typical for someone with an Jupiter-Ascendant trine,but I'm quite short..about 5'2'' feet tall(shorter than both my parents).Is the trine that different from the conjunction?..I also have a pretty wide face,with a rather squarish jaw,despite the claims that Libras have oval-shaped faces.Other than that,my body is pretty well-proportioned,although I tend towards a healthy-looking,robust constitution:I'm broad-shouldered,but with equally wide,rounded hips,and a thin waist.My facial features are quite harmonious,I am told,which also makes me tend to believe I have a Libra Rising.
In the second case,My Rising sign would be Virgo,at 20-something degrees.In this case,My Sun and Venus(both in Pisces)would be opposite my Ascendant,and Pluto sextile my Ascendant.I have no idea what these aspects inflict upon one's personal appearance,since I can't find any information about them....if anyone knows,please share!
Oh,and I also want to ask about the stelium thing...I thought I had a stelium on the Taurus/Gemini Cusp(Moon-Mars-Jupiter in Gemini,at 0 degree0),but someone replied to me that a stelium requires a minimum of 4 planets in conjunction,and that planets at 0 degree in a sign are not on a cusp.Is that true?

Aries Rising sounds more like what I look like, and I have an Aries Moon and MidHeaven.

i think i look more like pisces rising (my sun) than i do like aquarius rising (my rising) in that i'm small and well proportioned and a little weird about my feet (and get a double chin when i gain weight. i do have some aquarian features too tho. im with brooke there...

I have 3 co-workers with Gemini Risings and I did notice similarities, we 3 have very small symetric facial features, small nose, ears and mouth, pleaseant non-agressive features....Nothing like the above discription and our 3 weights are very differenty, one girl is very very round and short, the guy is average height and slender, and I'm rather tall and medium weight.....Go figure...

About Virgo Risings though, I did notice similarities with the ones surrounding me, they all kinda dress down, simple and reserved....

Scorpio-rising.. No I'm taller than average, My complexion is fair to ruddy and my feactures are very nordic. I don't walk quick and bouncy either. Although, I have always thought my eyes were my best feature. They are not larger than normal and are blue but can give a glaciar-like stare. Ask my kids when I catch them in a lie. They say I have a cold steel angery look

ummm the eyes definitely large and penetrating, hair is right as well...nose and face shape is not accurate at all...skin is sort of oily, i think im a combo..lol

paul, appearance is largely a matter of attitude. you look like a scorpio rising.

Oh, one should integrate the ruling planet of one's rising sign and the sign the planet falls into the description as well.

i.e. Pisces rising one would think "light skin" irridescence, light eyes.

My neptune is in scorpio...so I get the dark hair and eyes.

but physical descriptions are pointless. just like paul and other said, mannerisms are easier to catch. other than my hair (leo rising), nothing else. i always come across as a libra or a cancer. can understand the libra since there is a stellium. but no idea where people got my cancerian vibe from. my best friend thinks my mum got my birthday wrong. haha.
