I know we've already discussed Saturn in Libra, but more specifically, where does this land on your chart, and how do you think it will affect you, whether aspecting personal planets or not? I think this could be good interpretation practice, especially when it comes to grasping how squares work.
On my chart, I'll use the whole sign house system and say Saturn will be crossing the 3rd and Pluto the 6th. I read somewhere that how I think could affect my health and vice versa, and I would also say this square could cause problems when it comes to putting energy into work, which in my case is writing. I already see the depressive tendencies of Saturn kind of killing my ability to be more disciplined, however, considering the pressure these two planets exert, I do see myself getting impatient with myself and slowly building up how much I write while honing in on my goals, even though it is just the beginning of the transit. I'm also very critical of my work, and reading fiction has become as much an educational task as something I do for enjoyment. I find myself analyzing the hows of writing much more, and this will of course help with Pluto work stuff. Also, getting organized has become a big deal, as has finding places outside of my house where I can really concentrate. And the health stuff is definitely a biggie...I'm really trying to figure out my reasons for eating unhealthy food and how my mind controls my actions and vice versa. And I'm more of a hypochondriac in general.
Anyway, Those are some ideas from my chart. I've only focused on the planets and not the Libra/Cap part since I'm learning more about sidereal at the time and generally confused about signs. I also don't completely understand how Libra/Cap would work in a square.

Re: Saturn/Pluto Square and Your Chart
Mon, November 2, 2009 - 9:46 PMI have no understanding on how to interpret, read transits. In my natal chart, my Saturn is in Libra...so I'm guessing this period will be affecting me in some way. In the past couple of days I've been feeling very glum, and my sleep has been horribly off. Not sure if this is the culprit, or just that time of the month. -

Re: Saturn/Pluto Square and Your Chart
Mon, November 2, 2009 - 9:59 PMRexie - you will be going through your Saturn return soon (when transit Saturn meets your natal Saturn). This happens every 28-30 yrs or so, and the first marks a period in your life where you are maturing into adulthood. It is often a difficult time in which a great challenge in your life occurs so that you let go of your childish ways and are forced to grow up. Your midlife crises aspects are supposedly less challenging if you handle your Saturn return properly and learn from your mistakes. If you're interested in learning more about Saturn returns, you can find a lof of info on this tribe and on the web. -

Tue, November 3, 2009 - 11:25 AMThanks for the reply Teresa.
Oh yes, the dreaded Saturn return. My friend has been warning me for years about it, since his was a complete horror apparently. In the past year I already started going through a lot of major changes in my life. Ended a long term relationship, moved across the country, returned to school...etc. My 20's in general was dramatic, and traumatic...so hopefully that was the buildup to what I am to learn during my saturn return. I think all the drama happened to break down all my crazy stubborn defenses, so that I can be open to changes that saturn presents...lol..hopefully. =/

Re: Saturn/Pluto Square and Your Chart
Mon, November 2, 2009 - 9:54 PMI'm more inclined to believe that we understand such transits after the fact only... otherwise they wouldn't change our perceptions of things. If they were expected, they probably wouldn't wreak havoc like they do. As much as we try to tell Saturn and Pluto that we are ready and wise, they will tell us we are still but naive students.
As far as food goes, I've had Pluto transiting my 6th also for a while and I haven't had an appetite for over a yr. That might be why you are turning to unhealthy food - nothing satisfies. I've battled anorexia with this transit because of my lack of appetite, so watch out if it just entered your 6th. -

Yes, very true and I like the way you put it, but at the same time, astrology as a symbolic language can be used during the fact to at least provide some patience/peace of mind that this too shall pass and lead to hopefully the intention of the aspect? For example, when I was laid off during Saturn opp. Uranus, I at least understood some of the intention. This also helps me a lot when I'm "suffering" under Pluto or Saturn.
Ha-I WISH I had no appetite lol...Cancerian emotional eating has always been around for me, though what you describe could make sense of the past two weeks.
Looking at your chart, looks like you are using Koch...I've been using whole house with Pluto for a few months, though I've been feeling more 5th house energies with some things lately. I doubt the house is even that important unless it's crossing the cusps, but I have a few years before I can report on that. Thanks for the info. -

Re: Saturn/Pluto Square and Your Chart
Tue, November 3, 2009 - 1:26 AMWell, it is certainly going to impact me. Pluto has just made its last final hit to my natal Saturn and I have certainly lost a lot of money in the last 2-3 years. Now Saturn is transitiing my Midheaven square natal Saturn and did someone say 'Uranus?'
As you say...maybe, it is only until after the event that things seem clearer. I am still absolutely skint, along with other friends and colleagues of mine too, and there are less students this year. I am being harrassed to replace - of all things - four water-meter clocks, so the Kafkaesique complexity of issues like that still make me wonder. So does the fact that when the caretaker came to look at my pipes after a leak, he was nearly killed when it turend out that the DIY geniuses who lived here before me had wrapped a lifewire around the (leaking) water pipe.
I do keep on feeling extremely trapped by the whole situation - being sucked dry on a 7-day week treadmill, just to survive . it s the narrowing of possibilities that really stinks. For m . There just has to be something better than this long term, because I don't want to be a slave to all this forever. The Jupiter transit, startionary at 2 degrees away from my Moon, as been hinting at visions of other kinds, most of them connected with publishing software for books, calendars - from an art point of view, this has been a good year.
I have noticed pundits now declaring that the Great Recession os over - which with the coming lineup of heavies, I don't believe for a minute. Yet for a lot of people, this will srill stand alongside all kinds of Jupiter/Neptune visons for a Better World. Or massive disillusionment.
No doubt there Intellient Strategies to see through the next couple of years, still not quite sure exactly what these might be though. -

I'll I can say is that it feels like waiting, and waiting and waiting. And not trusting the government or authorities and looking beyond the typical path we've been raised to take, ie, get a job and things will work out. I think it's become very fend for yourself however you can, whether people realize it or not. For those who do, there is more of an entrepreneurial, creative solution thing going on, and for those who don't, it's all about being stuck in front of monster.com all day long as the unemployment check runs out. I'm also looking forward to Jupiter hitting my personal planets for some new I ideas. Even if Jupiter can be delusional, the energy it provides feels great.
"from an art point of view, this has been a good year. "
Yes, for me also. I think all these losses have made people focus more on the essentials, and for those who live off of their creativity or want to, this aspect could be very fortunate in the end as Pluto forces us out of certain modes of survival and Saturn forces us to discipline ourselves to find new solutions. Last night I had a dream that I was riding a bicycle through this really artsy part of Dallas I hadn't discovered-it looked like San Francisco or something. During the dream I rode my bike down hills so steep that I fell off the bike, but I miraculously survived . And I was lost as the sun was setting, and I found a map that showed me I had been riding in the wrong direction. I started to ride back home after talking to some people about which way to turn. Corny, but it made me feel better about being forced to try new things.
