Recently I've been paying attention to my body. A few transits and progressions help, but I was born with a physical body emphasis; my lumanries on the ASC, so this is not a surprise. The surprise is how long it took for me to get back to what I had as a child (watching TV on my head, for example).
I was wondering if any of you out there with 1st house emphasis can relate to this.

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 12:27 AMScorpio Asc, Pluto 12/1st house. And trust me, if I dont pay attention to my emotions or eating habits, put on weight quickly. Because I tend to internalize and absorb things on such a deep level, it directly effects my blood pressure and amount of cortisol in my body. As we kno, cortisol raises bodyfat.
Positives, I have noticed my ability to stay healthy and not get sick as well as gain physical strength at an alarming rate. Ive never suffered any major injuries and the minor ones i did have, I was back functioning from them asap. I think having that Pluto in my 12/1st house, plus conjuncting my Asc, I have great healing and recovery from any form of stress on my body. As long as i keep my emotions and health in check. -

Wonder if this is to do with your mars t-square as well, mars being the traditional ruler of scorpio.
I have scorpio rising and 12H pluto too and I have to say I don't gain strength at an alarming rate, I'm pretty slim and not overly strong. I'm just wondering if its your focusing aspects to mars that are doing it? Either that or my 1st House Saturn limits me somewhat?
any ideas? -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 1:11 AMAgreed that my Mars TSquare has some to do with it, because alot of the activities I like to do is a direct link to my 5th house Mars. U know, the sports, weightlifting all of that. But still, I dont have to do AS MUCH consistently and I still get strong extremely faster than normal. In high school about 5 years ago, I went from benching 135 to 315 in 2 months. No sports enhancers, drugs either. That is insane lol. I dont know what it is but i have always been that way.
Saturn can have something to do with the limiting of gaining strength quickly. It sure feels the same way for me with Saturn being in my second house. Barring that, I fell Saturn has the same type of energy what ever house it is in. You would be what they call a "hardgainer" in bodybuilding" that is very interesting because it usually takes such individuals a longer time to gain, but they always end up being rewarded pretty well in the end.
That Pluto/ASC Conjunction I have may have an effect as well, since im becoming acclimated at using that energy towards things I want done in a efficient, and "powerful" manner. -

whoa! That's crazy! I have no idea how much 135 is or even 315 but more than doubling your ability in two months sounds pretty mad!
As I say I'm not all that strong at all. I kind of have a wiry sort of strength. There's a guy that's a little shorter than me but probably twice my size in width and otherwise quite strong, was surprised when I was able to debalance him and push him sidewise so easily when we kind of horsing around. I think I'm more naturally aware of using other methods to make up for my lack of stamina and 'bulk'.
I struggle to lift weights, I find it boring as well. I'm like, I could be doing ANYthing else right now and instead and i'm just lifting and lowering these things over and over again. I find it difficult to keep up my attention levels. -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 8:30 PMNot too many planets in the first Paul for you, and I do think this makes a difference. Had I known how important, I would've pressed myself towards more physical involvement because seriously, that's huge in my chart, and not just by house, but by aspects (Mars trines sun/Moon/ASC and Saturn sextiles same). I see it in my children, they're very physical (Mars in the 5th trining my Sun/Moon/ASC). Actually, they helped me pay attention to that part of myself where prior, I was thinking I was purely mental.
I'm a bit disappointed in the cook-book astrology treatment of the first house. The physical body in this incarnation is so important and if you have planets there, it become doubly so.

Well that sounds like Mars in Gemini. I'm the same way myself. Routines just doesn't work for me. I think I get bored like 10 times as often as most ppl, and when I try to learn anything when I'm bored, it just gets worse.

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Sat, October 10, 2009 - 7:28 AMI'm a Scorpio Rising, and Pluto is my ONLY planet in the first, also stationed in Scorpio. I don't gain weight very easily, i think my body just absorbs what it needs from food, and dumps the rest out. At 5'2", i stay between 110 and 115 lbs.
At the same time, i'm no stick. I've always been very curvy, and i've always had issues with those curves at some point in my life. I developed VERY early, i got my first bra at 9. At 11, i began to lose my "Baby Fat", my boobs got even bigger, my waist got smaller, and my womanly figure started to emerge. By 12, i was already a D cup, and i hated the dirty looks and lustful attention i got from men much older than me as a result. Every time i was speaking to a male of any age, the "Elevator Look" came first, right before the eyes would become fixated on my chest, it made me feel so self-conscious.
I wonder if any other women out there with Pluto in the 1st developed early, and had issues with the attention accompanied with it? -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Sat, October 10, 2009 - 8:27 AMOh yes Aminah, I matured early; Pluto in the First (Virgo).
I have Mars conjunct Sun (in the 6th house), I find that I build muscle mass easily and it is evenly distributed. High levels of aerobic activity really help keep off the fat. With a Mesomorph body type, I found that in massage anatomy class, I was often asked to serve as a living illustration of muscle and bone structure! -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Sat, October 10, 2009 - 12:29 PMI too have my Mars conjuncting my Sun, in the 12th, though. I always had very good muscle definition, mostly in my arms, back, and midsection (Tummy). I love my arms, people ask me from time to time if i work out... i lie and say yes, secretly loving the fact that i lay on my ass and eat junk food! :) Even though i don't like my stomach, it's not as flat as i would like it to be (it's all in my head), i have pretty good definition there as well. I could very easily get a "Six Pack" if i tried. But... it's the "trying" part that gives me trouble! :) -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Sat, October 10, 2009 - 11:25 AMWell, I have Uranus conjunct jupiter in my first, neptune just on the cusp of the second... My body has always been wiry, lean, my appearance, unusual, with a scorpio ascendant and pluto in libra, i had an intense angelic charm (neptune in 1st) growing up..but at age 15 (perhapse when my age arc 15% mars in aries kicked in) i became very masculine and since then, my energy can be stored for months on end, not doing a single thing with my body, then if i need to i can just run long distance or have enough nessecary strength and force to lift or over power in some way or whatever...

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Mon, October 12, 2009 - 9:20 PM
using whole sign houses
My Haumea is conjunct the Ascendant in 1st house
no...I don't think that Haumea is a meaningless rock. It's a dwarf planet just like Pluto,Ceres,Makemake, and Eris. It's the the the 4th largest dwarf planet after Eris,Pluto, and Ceres.
if Pluto is significant in houses, then so are its fellow dwarf planets.
with Haumea being named after a Hawaiian goddess,
I have people that think that I have a feminine look about me as well as have been mistaken for somebody that has Polynesian descent
I think that it reflects an otherworldly, look about me. That fits with Haumea, especially when you consider its orbit with it being more distant, outer, and slower than Pluto as well as it being highly rapid spinning object.
some people would say Pluto in 1st which I have in house systems other than whole sign house system. I feel that Haumea in 1st house conjunct my Ascendant fits just fine.
Pluto doesn't have the monopoly on depth, transformation, and intensity. Not with thousands of transneptunians in our solar system including some big ones that include dwarf planets.
so yeah, I'd say that Haumea in my 1st is significant placement for me.

Neither do I, but is there a point where aspects become repetitive enough or strong enough that u just know?? No need for quardruple, sextuple or what not? I think so, for example, and outside this post, it's this one planet of mine that is techincally unaspected..Neptune..Remember, Jupiter is coming back to that Neptune transit degree (oK, so I drift, so much Gemini).. -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 8:16 PMHey, Varoom!
This is an interesting topic. I have noticed that the emphasis on the 1st house by having a planet tenated there definitely boosts the impact of the person's outer expression. I never really thought about how it may also impact there "body awareness" however until you mentioned it.
I have the ruler of my chart, (Saturn retrograde, with Capricorn rising), conjunct the ascendant and in intercepted Aquarius in the 1st. Saturn is also ruling the Capricorn ruled 12th house. (Instant karma!)
But I never thought about how this position affects my "body awareness." I guess the main affect this has on me is an awareness of how others notice my "entrance into their group." I cannot pull off being a "fly on the wall" very well as a result! Hahaha!
Jupiter is also in the 1st house in Pisces and ruling the 11th house. I interpret this as being "emotionally present in a BIG way" when in a group, (11th house), or when in the physical presence of ANYONE.

Yes Deb, this is my problem with the first house standard issue definitions, how others see you. How you're perceived is only part of the story (I know all about making an 'entrance,' it sucks!). So screw that shit, how do you perceive you should be the only question...
So this is what I'm doing: working on being whole -- body (1st), mind (2nd) and spirit (always)....;-)

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 6:59 AMexactly
Uranus,Neptune,Pluto, and Chiron weren't used in Astrology by the ancient, medieval, nor around the time of the American Revolution
so they weren't actual basic energies.
Uranus was discovered in 1781
Neptune was discovered in 1846
Pluto was discovered in 1930
Chiron was discovered in 1977
Western Astrology was modified by the astronomical discoveries
It was mainly the use of the Sun,Moon,Mercury,Venus,Mars,Jupiter, and the Lunar Nodes
certain astrologers that only use those objects think that using other objects besides that is repetitive. They use rulerships extensively, and so they got a lot of information from rulerships. There was an extensive use of fixed stars in the classical systems of Astrology. The orbs for them were much larger than what most astrologers use today. Their was also the use of lunar mansions and Arabic parts which are mainly planetary pictures which the Hamburg School/Uranian Astrologers use. The main one,the part of fortune aka lot of fotune was also used as an ascendant. the whole sign houses were used with lot of houses
Today,Vedic Astrologers still use lunar mansions called nakshatras. Each nakshatra is ruled by a planet and is assigned a deity. For example, My Moon is in the 24th nakshatra, Satabisha which is ruled by Rahu (North Lunar Node) and whose deity is Varuna. I have Moon square the transneptunian dwarf planet candidate,Varuna with only 10 minutes of arc. Coincidence or synchroncity. I'd say the latter. In Western or Vedic Astrology, the Varuna theme is strong in me either way. Any ways, the nakshatras were used to tell one's appearance too. The Ascendant and the Moon in zodiac sign and nakshatra are said to give clues to one's appearance, physical body. Also Vedic Astrologers also look at houses from chandra lagna which means Moon as the Ascendant. They also use harmonic charts called varga charts. The 9th varga chart also known as the navamsha was used not only to look at marriage but also as a 2nd main chart to the rasi chart which was the main chart. Chandra lagna was used in that system too. the nakshatras used too.
also, The Vedic Astrologers have other points that are mentioned in the texts like Mandi and Gulika which are referred to as children of Saturn. Unfortunately, I have Mandi closely conjunct my Ascendant, and Gulika closely oppose my Moon. Remember that the Vedic Astrologers use whole sign house aspects too.
Of course, Rahu (North Lunar Node) and Ketu (South Lunar Node) was also used as planets. In the Vedic Astrology, Ketu has nothing to do with the past lives or any connection to that. Rahu has nothing to do with the lessons that needs to be learned either. Ketu is the significator for enlightenment, detachment, liberation, but also loss too. Rahu was said to do with material desires that can be overwhelming, and it said to be linked to conditions
Rahu and Ketu in 1st also figured into appearance and the physical body. Both both lunar nodes are said to figure into mental illnesses, psychiatric disorders, neurological disorders.
It's not logical to think that planets can be viewed from the houses of the Sun and Moon and can be used in harmonic charts.
How you view a natal chart or anything Astrology is very relative. As astrologers have their own way of doing things. Ketu in 1st is valid in the Vedic System. Pluto in the 1st is valid in the 20th century Modern Western system. Haumea is valid in the 21st century Astrological system.

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 7:38 PMFirst off Raymond, I love your knowledge, don't ever think I diss it.
So back to your observations:
Uranus was discovered in 1781 (Mercury was a substitute, albeit, not perfect)
Neptune was discovered in 1846 (Jupiter)
Pluto was discovered in 1930 (Mars)
Chiron was discovered in 1977 (Saturn, at least IMHO)
So what are we really arguing about? not much except you should start a thread for advanced astrology, I'll be the first one to join. Me thanks you great teacher (this is true, I just don't think this is the appropriate venue for your genius, is all). -
-
Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Thu, October 15, 2009 - 9:19 AM
actually some rulerships that astrologers assigned to Pluto were Saturn
Saturn was the planet associated with death before the discovery of Pluto.
it's still listed as one of the rulers in Rex E. Bill's rulership book. -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 10:54 AMHey varom (= tnx for replying.
And yes, I have issues with my identity.
>>Say, what? Haven't looked at ur chart, just going by your own observations.
Theres a lot about my body or personality i simply enjoy or i dont feel comfortable with, depending on the situation and the mood im in.
Every time i go somewhere (and i do mean it, EVERY time), i get people staring at me. And i hate that. And i cant avoid it either. It must be the fact i stand out because of my looks, but its really tireing and although im 20 i havent got used to it, and i dont think i want to. Some people watch in awe, others in curiosity, but they still all watch, and im sick of it. It used to be intimidating when i was little, now its just more like "Meh....". But still.
Im 1.75m, just above average, and my legs and arms are too long. sure, someone whos 2m would have extremities several times longer than mine, but, taking my whole body into consideration, yes, theyre long. And im thin too, although im no stick. I excercise and have built a nice shape, a broad chest, a large back, etc. Still, everythign considered within the thin and long, thin-but-no-stick parameters.
Ive been told my way of walking is kind of "regal," as if i boasted self confidence (which is not really the case) and that that really gets many ppls attention. When i brought this up with my sister she told me i walk as ppl who know theyre good-looking do. Lol? I know, but that did really flattered my ego.
I also tend to talk (and think) A LOT about myself, and ask MANY questions (i ask myself about myself, or i ask people about any subject, myself, themselves, their lives, etc.), i seem to ALWAYS need to know the WHY of everything.
My body (and personality) HAS served socially, in an utilitarian point of view. I always seem to be gaining the favor of my superiors with practically no effort on my part, just for being cool, and other people who may not be as fortunate resent this (although no one has gone beyond telling me how much they despise me because they adore me and theyre just.. there. in other words, my physical integrity has never been challenged because of these resentments). which is awesome because i usually get my way and things seem to work out just by themselves most of the times, which is perfect too. i work hard and deserve the things im given, but these rewards are just larger, or better, than what would one normally think as "the right" contribution for my hard work.
Ive always felt i dont particularly fit anywhere, whether itd be people, situations, or places. I always seem to identify with more than one thing at a time, which makes it particularly hard to find the sense of "belonging." And its usually myself the one who i blame ("why do you have to be so weird??" "why do you have to think too much??" "why cant you like things everybody else your age likes too??" "why cant you do what everybody else is doing?" etc). This is particularly the main point i refered to with the "ive issues with my identity" statement. I am pleasing, i am fun, i am respectful, etc etc etc. But still, theres this...... awkward feeling.... thing about myself that just doesnt let me feel as i belonged ENTIRELY to something. The way i talk is distinctive too, and i dont really have the accent of the people who live where i do (and, again, that everbody else has but me), which adds up to me feeling out of place.
Ive the sensation i can look as someone whos too harsh or stern to people when they 1st look at me, however, when i do get to know these people and ask them about 1st impressions and whatnot, this is the LAST thing they wouldve thought.. yet, i cant take it off my mind.
IDK what else i could add. -

A cap asc will do that to you; give your self some time to ripen and appreciate the word 'delay.' I know enough Cap risings in their 50s who are the epitome of self control and confidence (and it wasn't an easy climb, I assure you). Don't be too hard on yourself, and don't be too flattered or flatter by/with superfluous shit (in other words, use your Venus in the 1st wisely).

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 8:28 PMI have seen a few characteristics in charts that are related to what you are talking about:
1. Virgo rising people tend to be more obsessed with their health; fitness regiments, diets working out. Astrologers tend to think that the ascendant qualities tend to manifest in people very early on. I have seen many Virgo rising people who are really into working out, being on a strict diet from a very young age. If they don't work out actively, they usually have a strong sense of routine.
2. I think 8th house/ Scorpio themes also indicates healing and transformation not just on the emotional level but also the physical level, particularly if Mars is in the 8th house. The native can choose to channel the 8th house energy through Martian activities such as martial arts and sports. Particularly for me, since I also have Uranus in Scorpio, working out has always been a boom or bust experience for me. I tone up really quickly if I have been through a break but my body tends to just go blah if I don't keep at it. I think 8th house placements are more intense than 1st house placements. 1st house placements of Mars is characterised by fitness regiments becoming almost integrated wiht your self esteem; ie, I will not feel good about myself if I don't work out. But with 8th houser Mars, you tend to put through mental, emotional and physical pain with the intensity of primal rites of passage. -
-
Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 7:31 PM"I think 8th house placements are more intense than 1st house placements."
In what way Lady saber? I generally think anyone with an Mars 8th house placement qualifies for the intensity award.
"1st house placements of Mars is characterised by fitness regiments becoming almost integrated wiht your self esteem; "
No Self-esteem is not yet defined in the 1st house, it's about pure joy...think of a baby being buck naked and enjoying the body.
"ie, I will not feel good about myself if I don't work out. But with 8th houser Mars, you tend to put through mental, emotional and physical pain with the intensity of primal rites of passage. "
Yes, 8th house is usually competitive in nature or at least comparing their progress with others (3rd quadrant)...not so with the 1st house ... it's pure physcial energy, no one else is involved, no routine, no camera, just you, yourself and you....

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 7:57 PMHow is being buck naked and enjoying it not got to do with self esteem? A lot of people have problems looking at themselves naked in broad daylight and accepting themselves as they are.
The 12th house rules in utero experiences, so 1st house should rule the formative months and years. If you follow most traditional psychological schools of thought, children formulate their sense of self between 0-6 years of life. -

So true Lady, and Bingo, I do think the 1st house planets, or benefics strongly aspecting the asc. have a great deal to do with self esteem (if you can take control/charge of your body, what can't you take control of?). I don't associate the 1st house with intensity tho, lest Pluto is suspiciously close by, then all bets are off ;-) To me, intensity means obsessing and brooding over those very things you can't control (hence the 8th house).

Only as much as those obsessed with their mind are only trying to escape their body. Virgo, to me, is the sign that bridges the gap beneath mind and body. That's why I would associate all the psychosomatic disorders with the Virgo-pisces axis just as much as I would the 'mind over matter' kinds of areas in life. -

Sat, October 17, 2009 - 4:03 AMPaul, true, but, in my experience, when I have cleared my mind, I can do quite alot more with my body then with a stuffed clogged mind...
everyone else, I was just answering Amiable, not the topic of conversation, please ignore me -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Sat, October 17, 2009 - 9:06 AMYes, and thank you for your comment, nephos. And I was just saying that Virgo rising, Jupiter conj Asc, and Mercury in the 1st doesn't make me very physical or the other typical stuff being discussed. Even so, I am healthy enough and not stressed out about my overall physical condition.

Nephos,
Be free friday night (or any night that is of the Friday night persuasion); I might just show up and do a whole lot of damage to your unclogged mind.... -

Sounds like a veiled threat. I'm happy to consider that it might not be.
To clarify, what do you mean by this comment? -

is it wrong that I just associated unclogging someone's mind with some kind of nuance of violence rather than as being something enjoyable. I need to get out more. -

Others would maintain that with a strong and healthy body they can do much more with their minds. Because of this I wouldn't necessarily suggest that those who are 'obsessed' with their body are trying to escape their mind, any more than I think it would be true to say that those 'obsessed' with their mind are trying to escape their body/reality.
There may be many differing underlying reasons.

Obsession is not a 1st house issue, but possibly a Pluto aspecting a 1st house issue ;-)

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 7:38 AMHealth & Fitness= Virgo Rising? I thought the sixth house had to do with those ThInGs, not First? First House, what I have read so far, is Physical only in movement & appearance in a DeFining way. Exercise is Routine, daily upkeep. Very Differento!!!
Confusion of Sign Vs. House? Virgo Rising would have Aquarius ruling sixth hoUse (for simpliCity). Aquarius=exErcise Nutter, NO NO NO, don't get it.

The sixth house doesn't have a monopoly on all things health based. Virgo is also a health/fitness oriented sign. It is very much a 'phyiscal body' sign. With Virgo as the sign on the cusp of the point that references the physical body then it is plausible to assume that issues pertaining to physical health and wellbeing will be important. -

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 8:09 AMPaul,
I Agree to Disagree!
The house is the area & the Sign is the FlaVor.
Intuitively Virgo Rising would be very mental, an over-Thinker or a Thorough ThinKer. That is a general InterPret. Virgo on the sixth house would Not be an ExeRcise Freako. Virgo on Sixth House is more about keeping the schedule of doctor appointments, check-ups, & the ability through thoroughness and detail orientation to figure out health issues.
Physical exertion and exercise over the top or major theme is a aspect thing. -

"I Agree to Disagree! The house is the area & the Sign is the FlaVor. "
where are we in disagreement. The first house relates to the body (area) the Virgo is the sign on that cusp (flavour). The reaction toward the physical body (ascendant) is coloured by traits of Virgo (sign).
We simply cannot point to one place in the chart and say "there! that's where health is seen. nowhere else". In my opinion Virgo Rising approaches the world with a sense of 'critque' and with a wilingness and desire to find and work with holistic systems with possible links to health, fitness, fasitdiousnes, critical analysis and 'rightness' or things.

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 8:43 AMI have Sun conjunct Mars, and Saturn in 6th house Aquarius. Sun/Mars is the focal point of a T-square with Moon(Taurus, 9th house) and Neptune(Scorpio,3rd house) Virgo is intercepted in the 1st house. My chart is in my photos if you want to dig deeper.
So, my 6th house Sun is in detriment, but Sun is boosted by Mars, giving the general health and vitality that I have experienced throughout my life? I would imagine Leo Asc adds to the Sun's strength. However, would not the square add issue here? Saturn in the 6th is prone to health and particularly digestion issues, which, thankfully I have been without.
My only experience with fitness came as a result of curing my ill of postpartum depression/anxiety. As it is typical for mothers of young babys, combination of poor diet, lack of sleep and little social life was the main cause of depression. There came a point that I could no longer bear the intense anxiety and made the decision to clean up my act, so to speak. I did not see a doctor because I knew what he would say "clean up your diet, exercise and make friends" perhaps prescribing antidepressants. On my own I started eating well, took the baby out for walks, and eventually joined an exercise group that had babysitting, where I made some social contacts. I lost 50lbs and for about 7 years, I was in optimum shape, people would comment that I looked like Linda Hamilton in Terminator. : )
Life changes took me away from that health program, and I became a student. Now, If I find anxiety or pounds creeping up, I will be just a bit more careful with my diet, and try to combine socializing with activity.
I suppose my story illustrates the mental health manifestation of the 6th house experience, especially with Sun in Aquarius...My 5th house Mercury is strong and kindly aspected, in grand trine with Moon, Pluto/Uranus. Transiting Uranus and Neptune passed my Sun/Mars at this time, probably adding quite a lot to the tendency of depression... -

Re: The no-body, any planets in the 1st?
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 9:14 AMI definitely feel like depression turns up as health issues for me, too, and I also have a 6th House emphasis. I'm sure depression and physical health are related for a lot of people, but I feel like they very directly correspond in my experience. I have my Moon and Pluto in 6th House Scorpio (and my South Node in 6th House Libra) and when I've been at what were probably the two lowest emotional points in my life, I found health matters to very dramatically rise to the surface. In one case, I had to make myself actively focus on not thinking about what was painful and I spent a lot of time eating right and exercising just to pass time and get my brain elsewhere. In the process, I dropped 20 pounds pretty fast and got in great shape without even realizing it. In the other situation, I spent a lot of time just analyzing to death what was going on and wallowing in how sad I was and I became an absolute hypochondriac, getting 'sick' frequently. I really don't think anything was wrong with me the entire time, but I channeled a lot of my upset and anxiety into really overwhelming worries about my physical health. I realized I was doing this, though, so I didn't let the health side of it get TOO far out of hand.
I don't have much going on in my 1st House. I have Venus (in Taurus) loose-ish-ly conjunct my Ascendant, but it's still pretty solidly in my 12th House, and I have Chiron in the 1st (in Gemini).
My general Taurus influence has me as a stereotypical food-lover and I have a definite lazy streak, so I can get a bit out of shape, but I love taking really long walks and I like doing silly little floor exercises and lifting weights when I allow myself time to get into a routine. I build muscle fairly well. I'm really more on the on the average/curvy side, but people usually tell me I'm thin (Gemini Rising?). Was a chubby kid, though! -

Fri, October 16, 2009 - 8:38 PMSign on the house, well, I have a lovely friend who is a Virgo rising, Gemini Sun. She is obsessesed with the health of her children, not her health mind you; she is clinically obese. But her obsession with the health of her kids is something to behold! In fact, it's thru them that she's learned to eat better (her moon in cap).
