i have a question
i was born with my moon in
Pisces @ 0°04'32. this is less than half a degree to be an aquarius moon.
i am really sure this is a pisces/aquarius moon sign cusp. am i right or wrong? i just need confirmation to be 100pct sure
if i would have been born 8 minutes before i would have both my ascendant and moon sign in Aquarius instead of Pisces... 8 minutes! lol what is better? Moon/Ascendant in Aquarius or in Pisces. i am a virgo sun as well. i will have to recheck in the hospital in my country for accurate timing.
anybody have any insights, info, or links on this cusp? or how moon cusp affect people? thanx in advance!

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 4:53 PMWhether you are at 0 degrees of 29 degrees, your planet is in a particular sign for a reason. Don't get bogged down w/ "cusp" ideas. There are something called "decans," but your planet is in the sign that it is in, not partially in another sign. We all have bits of the entire zodiac in us, but our planets are stronger in certain signs.

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 4:56 PMWhen he was talking about an exact conjunction, that means the person's planet was in the exact degree of the sign your planet is in. When we compare to people's charts it is called "synastry." There are also "composite" charts, which look at the relationship between two people. -

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 5:04 PMCertain planets are "happier" in certain signs than others. The Moon has no dignity in Pisces (it is peregrine and weakened), but water is a better element for the Moon than air (Aquarius). A Pisces Moon has an easy time expressing emotion, but it lacks focus. The Moon is also peregrine in Aquarius at 1 degree (your degree when rounded up), so it is not comfortable here. An Aquarius Moon has a tremendous amount of compassion on an abstract, removed plane. It finds the idea of nuturing, protecting, and supporting humanity extremely appealing; but when the Moon in Aquarius has to actually interact with individual humans, it is at a serious disadvantage. Aquarius has a hard time recognizing the importance of individuals rather than a group. -

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 7:03 PMIf the birth time is correct, it's technically a pisces moon (using western), however, I wouldn't suggest not getting bogged down in notions of it being on the cusp --yeah, it is a lot harder to analyze, but so be it, IMO. Since it has crossed the line, but has barely gotten its feet wet, i'd think of pisces as the mission or challenge, and aquarius as the familiar --the qualities that it might be tempted to fall back on.
Adjoining signs are all starkly dissimilar, but I believe that Aq/Pi is one of the more copacetic cusps to be found. Maybe that's because I have a 2* Aquarius moon and a 3* Pisces sun, and I've had to practice some sort of reconciliation between the two for my whole life. But it also may have to do with the fact that they both relate to matters beyond personal interests --ruled by what we call transpersonal planets. And although one is fixed and the other mutable, the elements of air and water blend easily, and whatever forms that they may assume, they do not (cannot) hold. -

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 7:16 PMAll things being equal (which they're not) a pisces moon would be much nicer (from a second person perspective) than an aquarius moon, Teresa's description of the Aq moon defined the problem very well. But as a pisces sun person, i've always been grateful not to have a water sign moon . . . really, we need to consider WHOLE charts (including virtually infinite possible combinations aspects and house placements) before we can even begin to say what a preferable placement for the moon or any other single body might be. But the Aq moon, in its own right, is both a universal blessing and a singular nightmare. -

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 6:38 PMWell, I do think that there is such a thing as a "cusp." The signs are not boxes with ridgid edges... I feel like their energies have to sort of blend into each other.
Think about the EXTREMELY slow-moving Pluto. When it enters Capricorn and leaves Sagittarius for good... will the expansive, media-oriented, over-indulgent social tendencies Pluto created in Sagittarius disappear all at once? No... Pluto will continue to carry Sagittarius' energy into the sign of Capricorn until the Capricorn energy takes over... eventually forcing society to become more practical, serious, and regimented.
But! That's just my theory. Obviously everyone has their own. My own moon is at th cusp of Capricorn/Aquarius... and I feel that especially when I was younger, I tended more towards Capricorn moon tendencies.
Anyway.... neither moon sign would be *better* than the other. They're just different. Read up on what each moon sign means and think about which one resonates most strongly with you... -

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Fri, August 1, 2008 - 8:25 PMI don't know when the idea of a cusp was discovered, but it seems to be used most in Sun sign astrology, by lazy astrologers. From what I understand, 0-10 degrees is the first decan of a sign and therefore one of the strongest in that sign.

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Tue, September 22, 2009 - 7:52 PMthis is crazy! i was searching for this specifically because i have that cusp as well. i'm also a virgo sun! interesting... i have aquarius rising and moon at 29 aquarius! so similar! my moon is in the first house also [yours might be too?]
even though i was actually hoping to find some info myself about this, i think i can say something.
i read about what each moon sign feels comfortable with once upon a time. Aquarius moon needs personal freedom, a sense of people being equal or meeting on an equal humanistic level, intellectual/philosophical sorts of conversations, unexpected experiences, and connection with humanity in general to feel comfortable. It's kinda actually pretty funny because the moon is a sort of comfort and this moon needs what might be deemed "uncomfortable" situations to feel secure. Pisces moon needs spiritual connection, meditation, privacy for reflection, room for creativity or an 'outlet', and to feel that its compassion is appreciated or needed.
i would say i definitely feel like i need things from each group to feel truly comfortable. in a way, i think they are sorted blended. like i was thinking earlier, i feel a need for human connection [sometimes for me impersonal connection feels more connected than with someone i know well] and in the human connection, i feel even more comfortable when i sense something higher keeping us humans all connected. i would say, see what makes you feel comfortable and don't let the idea of "being" either one limit you. every chart should be seen as a whole, looking at aspects, houses, and other planets and patterns. not only that but i think every wise astrologer says something along the lines of "know thyself" before giving a reading. really though, you probably have a little of both, and you should try to see things playing out in every day life to get a better picture of how your chart "works".
i think since 29 and 0 are what they call critical degrees, it puts a focus on these lunar issues or gives some sort of "drive" to finish up some business in that area, in our cases, the moon[in whatever house and sign]
i sure did use a lot of quotations. hope it helps if you even read this since it was posted like 2 years ago.... :)

Re: Aquarius/Pisces Moon Sign Cusp!
Tue, November 3, 2009 - 7:39 AMMy gf also has a pisces moon, but 2nd degree..
so what about chiron and neptune that will soon come into conjunct...jupiter will be there also, but briefly...
where do you have your moon and wich house has cancer on the cusp...
neptune conjunct the moon in pisces sounds really confusing... super dosis of neptune, like a sponge absorbing all the feelings and everything that surrounds you to the point of not knowing your own feelings on a particular issue, or about feeling deceivedvictimized...
chiron conjunct the moon; im not sure about this energy, maybe a painfull incident that will make you feel hurt at the beginning but eventually as chiron passes you'll know how to deal with your emotions better, or you will feel healed? the astro.com interpretation talks about dreams and their meaning, the transit is called 'a healing sleep' if i remember it right...
they point of all this, i have 0deg gemini ascendant, and 0deg virgo mercury.... so neptune and chiron are going to hit me hard also, but maybe more in the form of other people and situations (since i will receive a square and opposition)
