The Libra Moon appearance on a person is what I'm talking about. I'm a Libra Moon also.

My Cancer rising states that we're relatively overweight, stout, and short...which I'm not. So I just wanted to know what the general appearance of a Libra moon was and if your moon sign has anything to do with what you may look like.

(I know genetics has a lot to do with this so no smart comments please.)

I know a Libra girl with Cancer rising and she is rather stout, with a round "moon-like" face and big blue eyes. Another girl is a Cancer sun with Cancer rising, and she has the same features. But Libra moons... I've noticed most of them can be very colorful in appearence, but I think that demeanor is noticed more than any actual physical characteristics. Whatever they look like, I've noticed they are all preoccupied with grooming themselves in some way or another, one even "perfecting" his tossled-look hair every time any reflective surface is near... hehe...

They all seem to like peacock feathers, too...

Libra suns can be pretty hot.

          No pun intended.

Sigh...It's true... especially with their ascendant in Scorpio. Haha.

              lmao

But the Libra Moon part is so me! I'm always carrying a pocket brush or something around with me and asking if I look ok. People get annoyed but I do it unconsciously. lol

The Cancer rising thing is crazy though because I'm tall and slender with long shapely legs. My face is moonlike I guess. =/

The ascendant thing can be pretty hit and miss... I am a Gemini rising and I know two other people that are the same... but we look nothing alike. Ha! It might also have to do with how the ascendant is aspected, or if that sign has a lot going on with it otherwise.

Here is an experiment... ask other people whom have just met you what sign they think you are.

I have Libra moon. I can't say that I worry too much about appearance. I don't look at reflective surfaces all the time.
It's not something I consciously think about.
I do like to be well groomed, just not obsessed with it. I tend to have the tussled, casual look most of the time.
I don't get the whole ascendant thing and appearance. I have Aquarius sun and rising. What does a typical Aquarius look like?
It's an interesting aspect to look at. Just wonder if there's much too it.

    Peace, Bo

      Just to add...
One book I read said that Aquarius ascendant has an oval face, receding forehead, wide-awake eyes, and little erotic charisma.
Wrong...wrong...wrong...and, I can't speak for my erotic charisma. You'd have to survey a select group of people.
      Too funny.

      Peace, Bo

I'm an Aquarius Sun myself. I do care about how I look but I too do not look at myself in reflective surfaces on a daily basis.

I don't really know much about the Aquarius Rising; As far as Aquarius sun, we're said to have long torsos, usually slender appearance, protruding backsides, and sandy colored hair. I don't really know more than that, I'll have to research.

Generally I don’t think one can look at a person & say I know what sign you are. I am sure there are some exceptions as with every situation. I just feel that there is so much going on in one’s natal chart that it is hard to say by sight I know your astrological sign. In an earlier, but similar thread this topic was discussed and someone brought up the decan (decanate) of the Ascendant. If it is possible to look at someone and be able to associate their appearance with their ascendant I definitely think that the sign’s decan should be considered.

                This site is a bit cheesy but fun and it will give an idea, albeit probably a stereotyped one about what risings look like;

I have libra rising and I think it makes me look a lot less like a Scorpio - kind of like having whip cream cover up dark chocolate - ha or so I like to delude myself into thinking.....

                  Kat,

thanks for the link.. very entertaining. I have libra rising, cap sun, & leo moon. I must admit I don't think I resemble David Bowie or Ted Danson nor do they look like one another...lol

I think the astrology appearance thing isn't that accurate. If anything its an energy that can be sensed by some at sometimes. Many of the "definitions" are also catered to a certain race/color/nationality as well. Sorry, there was no way I was ever going to have light hair or eyes because I'm a Pisces. LOL.

I am a Libra Moon...I have to say I have never never been obsessed with what I look like...I am rather "Plain Jane" and rarely notice if I have a hair out of place. Someone usually has to tell me...then I am embarrassed...lol Capricorn Sun maybe or is it my Sag rising? .... who knows?

      uhh what about the eyebrows?

lol I think I'm the only Libra Moon so far that Acts like that.

Are Leos that way? I probably have a leo in my chart.

The Libran eyebrows always stand out to me that's all and are often very dark and/or thick. All the air signs seem to have very expressive eyebrows but I think that's an intellectual thing.

Well, I don't know for sure but...

Azalea did say she was embarrassed when someone told her about it...
So it sounds like there is still some importance placed on appearance there. I think it makes sense to say the libra moon (or anything in libra) places an added importance on beauty including personal appearance especially as viewed by others. With the moon there it could add to the sense of a person's security being related to how beautiful they are or how others react to their appearance. In general emotional reactions to beauty (including your own appearance) would be expected I think (unless enough other influences in the chart or energy focused by the person alters this) as well as emotional reactions to the opinions of others about your appearance.

But how this libra-moon effect plays out in reality depends on what other influences there are in the chart to add to or reduce this effect.

For contrast to this libra moon reaction that I see as common between you two reguarding your appearance and other peoples' opinions of how you look
When people tell me a hair is out of place it just annoys me (who cares? why are you picking at me? why do i have to be perfect for you? don't you have something better to think about than the arrangement of my hair? what are you... my personal fashion police?)
Then if I do fix it...it will only be to make the person quiet down and leave me alone and if I am really feeling snarky I'll go put it back the way it was before o.0 after they are gone

If I notice a hair out of place myself (usually a rare thing for me to actually notice) I just leave it...its just fine if it wants to sit there for now as long as it isn't blocking my eyes and if it is I just push it aside so to focus on "more interesting" matters.

see now that is a non-libra moon reaction ... maybe a non-example will help define some of the influence of libra-moon

Cap. Sun, Sag. rising, Libra Moon? Are you my astro-twin? I tend to look very "bohemian" "old hippie" -- in fact a lot like my tribe icon. I was wondering about that mirror thing, when I realized I do have a mirror, small free-standing, that I dance with myself in front of.
