a while back we had a discussion where the last thing I said (inspired by Sherpa's info and some reflection)
that I was going to have "healthy respect" for those with things aspecting my vertex
so, of course, I start seeing someone whose vertex is exactly opposite mine immediatly after that
any insights? (the scorpio thing and the mars in leo pulled me in and got me stuck)

In this article we read that According to Bill Meridian (Mountain Astrologer, June/July 2001), astrologer, Charles A. Jayne who (along with Lorne Johndro) first came up with using the Vertex, "felt this point was fated and that it represented matters beyond our control." It was Johndro that called the Vertex the "electric ascendant."

Sat, March 1, 2008 - 8:27 AMI have my Vertex conjunct with Jupiter and squaring Venus on one side and Chiron on the other. Thoughts? I'm still understanding the importance of the Vertex. I know it's an energy point that apparently only really works when activated. I also know that it's a good sign in synastry charts. My Sun and Uranus are conjunct with my partner's Vertex. Conversely, her Part of Fortune is conjunct with my Vertex. -

every relationship I have had that felt like I couldn't get out if I wanted to at some point in time during the relationship
(including some where that feeling had me crying and otherwise losing it, I hate feeling trapped)
any way ALL of them had exact conjunctions with either their vertex or mine
the worst of them all was a n.node conjunct vertex
we both felt trapped and I remember him saying to me
"I just don't know how to not be with you" when it needed to have been over years before.......
sometimes it's less awful
this aspect exists with my daughter too and at this point it's awesome for us! !
(we also have this jupiter venus conjunction which =like each other no matter what)
I am a little concerned about how the separation part of adolescence and adulthood will go
in regards to this, but I think it will be okay........ -

Fri, May 16, 2008 - 4:47 PMGuy I love has anti-vertex conjunct with my vertex, we have the most unusual relationship. We couldn't be together (I was married and it was too much complicated), but we stayed in contact and are very good friends. But, out meeting changed our life heavily and there is always great warmness between us. I don't really know will we ever be together, but for me now that is not so important. Every time we're together - we have a great time. And the connection is surely a spiritual one.
