It seems like there hasn't been a topic on leos in a while so... I had to do it =)
Ever since I've been reading astrology websites I've sorta been baffled. Leos are supposed to be a perfect match with geminis, but thats never been the case for me(I'm a leo). Everytime I meet one, we NEVER got along. I'm never attracted to the signs I'm supposed to get along with. Most of my friends are scorpios, leos, and capricorns(we're not supposed to go good together) and I get attracted to the signs that are supposed to be the worst match for me(capricorns, other leos, etc.). I don't know. It also seems to me that compared to other signs, leos don't have many signs that get along with them well. We either can't stand a sign or get along OK with them, with the exception of aries and gemini). It kinda sucks.
Any thoughts?

It depends on so many things perhaps within your own chart you have conjunctions, squares and inconjuncts which make you feel at home with those signs. My father was leo sun aries moon and he got along with any and everyone -it was very seldom that he felt put off by anyone and it usually was due to obviously being treated badly .

Wed, December 5, 2007 - 11:33 PMMy brother is a leo with a capricorn moon, and if he had a calmer ascendant than gemini rising he would be just like you described. I have noticed, however, that every leo has some area in which they act like one; that depends on what house their sun is in.

Thu, December 6, 2007 - 9:02 AMmaybe you are right...he is gaurded. i really like him. he is not the type of guy i usually date. i usually date romantic, affection, warm, very sensitive guy who are not afraid to show their feelings. i don't know his ASC because we don't know his time of birth...but i won't be surprised if he is a Leo too.
i see his Leo side at work (we work together, but in different departments). he is social, always shines in groups, but one on one he is such a capricorn. i have moon in aqua so i am a little aloof but once i get to knwo someone i am completely my sun. also i realized that his venus in virgo could also make him even more protective. personally i love the venus in virgo because they are cautious yet they open up beautifully eventually, i speak from experience. but i think the moon and venus makes him super duper 'gaurded'. yet i am so open. even tho i am a scorpio, private people, i cant relate too much to him, i am losing patience. -

I will just add this.......
My present guy was VERY guarded, a very private Scorpio..... and I understand some of what you are going through. I had to make a decision also, and I chose to stick it out. I am really glad I did. He eventually opened up and is trying to learn to communicate better. He's so different now and I'm so thankful we worked on it together. He has all the qualities I have desired in a partner, but only because he wanted to let me "in" and allow me into his private world. I gave him lots of space at the beginning until he felt comfortable.
I realize not everyone wants to work on a relationship to that degree. Good luck to you in whatever you decide. -

Sat, December 8, 2007 - 9:53 AMThat's so weird... that's how it is with me and all of my Scorpios. After they open up, we become the best of friends. The one thing we have to avoid though is COMPETITION. If we ever find ourselves competing at anything, its chaos. But for the most part we learn to either be happy for each other for our accomplishments, or we're honest about what we want. That way, the whole competition thing is avoided.

Resident Leophile here. And yes I agree Aquarians are incredibly vulnerable types.
Grandma was a Leo and Grandpa was a Gemini. They produced children of above average intelligence and a stronger than usual family bond. So go for those Geminis. Their good for you. -

anyway i know i have to 'stick it out' because i really like him. he is a HUGE flirt!!!!!!!!!!! i mean huge. and i a hate it!! oh well...i just have to be patient and one day i hope he opens us and show me his real side;-). in the mean time...i am happy i am around him and he still wants to hang out with me.

Ive read that i am suppose to get along great with; Sagittarians, Aries, taurus but the guys ive met that are those signs are sooo not boyfriend material for me.. no way.. My best guy friends are all ariens,, and they will definately always remain friends.Arien men are great for a mellow relaxed chat about anything and everything but when it comes to relationships its all about sex... sorry to be blunt but it really is. Sagittarians are just a tad naive and excitable for me.. they can be the complete opposite too... quiet, sly, kinda creepy ( got a cold shiver thinking about it..LOL).. OH and dont get me started with Taureans.. OMG. They are definately no where near boyfriend material fr me.. moody, grumpy, argumentative, arsey-farty, boring, reclusive, money loving,... i just got out of a 1.5yr relationship with one... It was NOT pleasant. My Mum who is an Arien has been married to a Taurean (dad) for 16 years!! She is constantly complaining lol... Bless.

Thats interesting... it was the same with me a while back. I'm not supposed to be a great match with Pisces but I was dating one a while back and it was wonderful. It ended though because he felt that he was "meant to be" with his ex-girlfriend. They were together for years. I don't know. -

I also know other Leos that i get on great with. There is one leo i know who doesn't show his Leo-ness very often. he's quite shy and keeps himself to himself.
You should find yourself an aquarius. might be a good match -

Sat, December 15, 2007 - 12:53 PMI think that "Leo goes with Gemini" thing doesn't really work either - when it does, the guy is the Leo and the girl a Gemini. Leo women are very strong. I didn't see your chart on here, but I am getting you might have better luck with a Pisces or a Libra who has some "earth" somewhere to help make them more reliable. Leos are all about loyalty and principal, and Gemini (unless it is mixed with other signs that have these principals) usually do not. Even though I am a Gemini rising, I am a Cap with Leo Moon and Geminis, though great for "party friends" are just awful for relationships - I just need more substance, and I think they might feel suffocated, even though I don't make "demands" - I guess it is one of those things :-) -

Really, I have THAT many Leo female friends, and they are very deep friendships!

Sun, December 16, 2007 - 3:54 PMmy wife is an aquarius. we get along famously. but theres more to that than sun signs alone. Maybe the gemini's you meet have a nasty Taurus Rising or Virgo moon, and they just love to pick you apart.
