I've knowticed something. Jupiter seems to have a HUGE effect on people like the ascendant. My older sister Nicole has Jupiter in Cancer and she has always been very generous despite having financial harships. Not to mention having a round Cancern face. I have two other sisters both with Jupiter in Scorpio and they act very sly. Its almost as if they have criminal minds. Also they both have deep dark eyes. My grandmother has Jupiter in Capercorn and she falls naturally into a frown. Always very determined to accomplish something for the day. My dad has Jupiter in Taurus and hes very sweet even when hes mad. My mother has Jupiter in Pisces and she has a noticeably short stature. I have a few friends with jupiter in Leo and they all have thick hair. They tend to be very happy but quick to anger.
I think its interesting because Jupiter is the planet of expansivness. So maybe it has more of an effect on us than we think?

Sat, June 7, 2008 - 1:38 PMAh. I also have Jupiter in Virgo. I tend to be a sirous person who is very goal oriented. I can be picky and somewhat fidgety. And for some reason (maybe this only applies to me) I can clean every room in the house except my own. -

Sat, June 7, 2008 - 1:55 PM..."I have two other sisters both with Jupiter in Scorpio and they act very sly. Its almost as if they have criminal minds. Also they both have deep dark eyes."
It would be interesting to know what house their Jupiter falls in.
My Jupiter is in Scorpio in the 1st house. I understand the criminal mind, though I won't allow myself to fall to that way. And I do have dark brown eyes. My Jupiter is sextile to the Moon with a 1º orb and square to Pluto. That would probably give a Scorpio flavour to my Capricorn Moon. And the Moon seems to affect the eyes.
Jupiter in the 1st is said to give expansion in the belly, but I have been lucky and have had a flat stomach all of my life. It also affects the personality. Being sextile to the Moon keeps me emotionally uplifted and more gregarious. It tends to make me try to lift peoples spirits when I am out, making them laugh and enjoy life more, lifting their spirits. Ha! Check out the sabian symbol for my Jupiter :
"The town jester is in his element; it is Halloween and there is now justification for any and all of his pranks."
Gosh Halloween can be fun! :)
Anyhowzz, I found a web page on Jupiter in the houses:

And Jupiter in the signs:

I also feel Jupiter shows where a person's wealth lies. Mine being in the first is inside of me. Can't take that away! -

Its funny that you say this. I have Jupiter in the 11th and I wish for the sake of wishing! My litle sister has her jupiter in scorpio in the 10th house. My older sister has her Jupiter in the 1st house like you. Actually she has a first house stellium involving Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn. She does have a problem with keeping a flat stomache but it doesn't seem to bother her. -

I have Jupiter in Leo in the first house and I fit none of that description. -

Sat, June 7, 2008 - 4:41 PMHow is your jupiter aspected. -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 5:36 PMIt's heavily aspected... you can take a look at my chart in my photos. I have three planets (Mercury, Mars, Venus) in the 10th being squared by Jupiter in the 1st. It is also square Chiron and opposite my PoF. I do have a Jupiter trine to the MC, to give me ambition in spite of it all. Plus, a trine to the Vertex Point.
I think my Sun-Saturn Square is the culprit, though. Its melancholy trumps the Leo in Jupiter gregarious nature and dampens my Sag Moon optimism as well. It basically sucks away your life force.

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 8:32 PMsimone, so is jupiter your least aspected planet then? -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 8:42 PMActually I would say my sun is. I have a very loose trine by pluto (8 degrees) that I hardly ever take into consideration. But the opposition from Jupiter to Venus is 1 degree. Jupiter also conjuncts the asteroid psyche in my chart. Despite Jupiter not having many aspects I would say its still pretty strong. Its the most elevated planet. Maybe thats why.

2 degree square to my mc
1 degree quintile to uranus, 4 degree conjunction to mars

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 9:19 PMYour 7th house a lot of activity. I think the Vertex-Jupiter conj is probably a good sign in the area of partnership/marriage. The Vertex Point is the fate of your chart, you will likely have luck in finding a partner. Since Saturn is also in that house, a long lasting one most likely. Divorce is probably not something you even like to think about. My best friend has a very similar chart (except Pisces Asc), and her 7th house is almost identical. Her husband means everything to her.
Interesting. You must have been born in Jan of 1980? A few days before Jan 4th most likely (her b-day is Jan 4th and she has a Leo Moon - you have Cancer).
I think your north node is also in that house? I'm having a hard time reading that chart... my eyes cross. LOL
One thing my friend complains to me a lot about is feelings of jealousy (Uranus in Scorpio influences) and insecurities in her relationship (Saturn square Neptune gives certain anxieties and phobias that arise from her unconscious mind - this can give you an inferiority complex and feelings of inadequacy). Do you relate to this? -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 9:29 PMI'll post my friend's chart in my pictures and you'll see what I mean. You're almost astro twins. It's weird.

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 9:56 PM" I'm having a hard time reading that chart... my eyes cross. LOL "
....haha...try viewing it full size...maybe i should upload a normal one too
That is really neat about your friend....it would be cool to see her chart and talk to her..see how similar we are. My birthday was on the 2nd.
I dont know if i relate to some of the first things you said though...I have had nothing but bad luck in my relationships, They are all so complex and end up blowing up in my face (before i just chalked it up to the 7th interception..but who knows)
I am very loyal, loving and supportive, so i hate to give up on relationships, but it just tends to keep happening that way anyway
I do get jealous and insecure though like you say...(is your friends' uranus in the 8th house then?) but it vaccilates wildly...
and one thing with me that i know adds to it(the insecurity part of it anyway), is my merc in critical degree cap square to saturn. It makes me most times unsure of if what i say is stupid or not...I think over and over things and keep feeling it shouldnt be said, out of fear. And at other times it is overboard....i say too much and make a fool of myself (or feel like i did)
I definately feel the stress of that aspect in my thinking...but at times it is very useful because it forces me to slow down my overactive mind and accomplish something -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 10:00 PMThe bad luck in relationships may relate to the north node, which relates to karma. Hers is in a different house.
Though, you do have the part of fortune in that house too, I think... so that should rule it out. I don't know. Well, my friend had bad luck w/ relationships until she found her current husband. So maybe you haven't met "the guy" yet. You can take a look at my friends' chart. I posted it in my photos.
I did go to full view, but still had trouble seeing it. I think it's b/c my laptop is so small and you have just about every fixed star and whatnot on that chart. Wow! -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 10:04 PMAnd I should mention that even though she happy and in love w/ her husband, she is constantly feeling like she says the wrong thing or that she is misunderstood in her relationship. So I think that probably has something to do w/ the hard Mercury aspect you were referring to. She always tells me that she feels "dumb." But she is not dumb at all. -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 10:12 PMI guess I shouldn't have made it sound like she had an easy rode in relationships. She was only in a few relationships before her husband and she had her heart broken each time. The man she was w/ before her husband actually got her pregnant and left her.
Anyway, don't give up on relationships b/c it seems to me like it is your destiny to be married, and hopefully happily so.

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 8:45 PMMy Jupiter is also in Retrograde. I'm not sure about what the Vertex aspect to your Jupiter means but I think I read a description that says Jupiter-Chiron people have a healing touch. Jupiter, after all, expands the principles of the planet, asteroid, or house it touches. Jupiter making contact to the sun would make you somewhat like a Sagittarian I would assume. Very jovial.

But as I get older, I realise that I'm quiet when I'm most confident :-) -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 9:56 PMYour Jupiter is in the 6th house of health & services to others. I bet you're good at motivating people in the work place? You probably don't like routine much either since it's in a fire sign in that house. You may push yourself too hard and run late a lot. That's one interpretation anyway.
My Jupiter in Leo is more negatively aspected than yours and in a different house, so that's probably why I am not relating to you at all... LOL -
-
Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 10:12 PMI would attribute my dislike for routine since my Jupiter in Leo is opposite my individualistic ascendant in Aquarius. It pays to take note of Uranus right smack on my midheaven; those with this placement would agree with me that working independently would be way to go; freelancers, inventors and business mavericks have this placement. We do not fit well into a structure, unless we have had a hand in putting THAT structure together. Jupiter in Leo also squares my stellium whose planets in Scorpio flanking the midheaven in my case I often interpret as the conflict between being the drama queen for the sake of it, and ensuring that whatever I do has substance and depth before it sees daylight.
I don't typically run late though, but I notice I tend to do this only during the Mercury retrograde; I have been late twice already :-) -

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sat, June 7, 2008 - 10:31 PMSpeaking of Jupiter aspects... I am actually VERY afraid of my Jupiter square Mars. I had a professional astrology reading before that scared the crap out of me. My Mars is strongest in my chart and in its natural Aries (in the 10th). My chart is all about ambition and achieving status and independence. Jupiter may sabatoge my goals... Anyway, here's what he said:
"Mars here indicates you do have the strength and the drive to achieve success. But Mars square Jupiter indicates misuse of resources and other people's money, extremism and prodigality which can lead to disaster and ruin. Oh my!"
I asked him more about this and here's what he said:
"Actually the Mars-Jupiter square can be very destructive, but I cleaned it up a bit so you wouldn't think you are actually a demon from Hell. :-) Just kidding. But it can be pretty bad in some people who will try to sway public opinion or law to favor their selfish desires. It is
also seen in people who profit from war and selling weapons to both sides. I don't think most people are this devilish."
This is the one aspect in my chart that makes me worry. -

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sun, June 8, 2008 - 7:40 PMTeresa, technically the astrologer is not wrong, but anyone that plays the harbinger of doom in a reading is to be strictly avoided.
In any case, my Jupiter in Leo also loosely squares my Mars in Scorpio. Mars is also in its natural place in Scorpio and Jupiter is also comfortable in Leo. However in my chart, at least the way I see it, Pluto and Uranus are both its ruler.
Squares usually indicate a side-stepping kind of conflict within the native; one might feel irritated and this annoyance sometimes flares up, while sometimes it just evaporates. Oppositions are more dramatic because the native has a greater tendency to swing between extremes. Working conflict out with oppositions is usually the biggest challenge.
Tense aspects are very helpful because it prompts the native to work issues within. It is not surprising to find charts of those people who have achieved plenty in their life (does not matter in which sphere, whether personal, professional) with some tense aspects. Too many harmonious aspects may make a complacent and lazy native.
You should focus on how you could integrate what may seem to be conflicting issues and get them to work together. It calls for a lot of willpower but the end result is always worth all that work. Trust me. -

Re: I can see your jupiter
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 11:08 PMI think the fact that my Mars is in its natural Aries in the 10th is what made the reading go that way. I'm actually glad he was honest about it. Bringing that sort of thing to your attention makes you more aware and inclined to fight against it. -

I was asking my friend how long would you survive if you were on Roots..... I said 2 days, I would try to run away....And get caught then get my leg chopped off.... She goes Allan knowing you, you prob would get away cause your one lucky son of a bitch.
I got Uranus in the 3rd house, Jupiter in the 5th house. Both singleton, as Uranus is my only fire planet, and Jupiter is my only Air planet. Most of my friends are not white. I got friends from all over the world.... And travel a lot.
Then again I got Venus in Taurus conjunct to my NN, Pallas-Athena, and 9th house cusp.... So that might explain it also. -

Re: I can see your jupiter
Sun, June 8, 2008 - 3:50 PMJupiter in Aquarius:
You're broad-minded, considerate, fair, inspired, sociable, studious, and sympathetic, as well as very intuitive. You're able to work well with others, but if afflicted, can be tactless and intolerant. You attract many friends by not acknowledging class, racial or religious distinctions, creating an extensive social life on a superficial level. Your social, religious and moral values are democratic, impartial and universal. You understand that everyone has a special place, distinct lessons to be learned and contributions to be made. A spiritual desire to share with all endows you with great tolerance, the ability to cooperate and respect for others' views-- all of which you realize are necessary to have a successful society. You often become involved in organizations that promote peace, brotherhood and the universality of man, but if afflicted, you can believe in impractical, unrealistic or revolutionary means of achieving this. You have good judgment, intellect and originality, but if afflicted, you often scatter your energy and accomplish little, if anything. If well aspected, you're interested in occult wisdom and, if evolved, you can be a religious or social pioneer. You have a great need to help others, but if afflicted, you can be too casual or unreliable in relationships with friends or obligations to organizations.

Re: I can see your jupiter
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 4:02 AM"I got Jupiter in Aquarius.... Uranus in Sagittarius Mutual Reception." And in a sextile too.
Sounds like an interesting mind you've got there! Einstein had Jupiter in Aquarius/ninth ruling his midheaven. Here's his chart: www.astrotheme.fr/en/celest...rtrait.php
He had his moon in Sagittarius (which rules his chart by the Cancer ascendant) and the planets all 'look' to the mutual reception between Mars (Capricorn) and Saturn (Aries/10th). Saturn conjunct Mercury might explain the story (apocryphal?) of him not speaking till the age of four when he said that his dinner didn't have enough salt. When asked why he hadn't spoken earlier, he said there had been no need!
"He had begun his education in 1884 at a Catholic school near his home, but in 1889 was transferred from the school to the rigid discipline at Lluitpold Gymnasium. He was kicked out of that school for disrupting class but by the time he was 13 he had read Euclid's geometry and Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, two major influences on him.
His youth seemed to be one of deliberate rebellion against the establishment of his times. At age 16 he quit school, joined his parents in Milan, Italy, where they had moved, and renounced his German citizenship." (From www.astrodatabank.com/NM/Eins...PRT.htm) -

Albert Einstein on Marriage
When you're not with me, I feel as though I'm not complete. When I'm sitting, I want to go away; when I go away, I'd rather be home; when I'm talking with people, I'd rather be studying; when I study, I can't sit still and concentrate; and when I go to sleep, I'm not satisfied with the way the day has passed. - Albert Einstein in a letter to his future wife, Mileva Maric, August 6, 1900
Like many other geniuses Albert Einstein had a dark side. He treated his first wife, Mileva Maric, a mathematician and a brilliant scientist, disgracefully. As an example read this shocking memorandum in which Albert, cirka July 18, 1914, demands in writing Mileva to obey following cruel and degrading orders as the conditions under which he would agree to continue to live with her in Berlin:
A. You will see to it that:
1. My clothes and laundry are kept in good order;
2. I will be served three meals regularly in my room;
3. My bedroom and study are kept tidy, and especially that my desk is left for my use only.
B. You will relinquish all personal relations with me insofar as they are not completely necessary for social reasons. Particularly, you will forgo my:
1. Staying at home with you;
2. Going out and traveling with you.
C. You will obey the following points in your relations with me:
1. You will not expect any tenderness from me, nor will you offer any suggestions to me;
2. You will stop talking to me about something if I request it;
3. You will leave my bedroom or study without any back talk if I request it.
D. You will undertake not to belittle me in front of our children, either through words or behavior.
Mileva Maric left Berlin with the children at the end of July.
Albert Einstein on Love
More and more I come to value charity and love of one's fellow being above everything else... All our lauded technological progress -- our very civilization -- is like the axe in the hand of the pathological criminal.
