Call me a wishy washy Pisces....
or actually don't. that'll just rile up my Mars and Saturn in Aries.
but for example, yesterday and today and tomorrow and for as long as the Sun is within these few degrees, there's been this grand water trine (Sun Scorpio, Mars Cancer, Uranus Pisces) that I've been grooving on and it has Saturn in Virgo to kite it! :)
fuck if i get what all that means. just feels good to me. this is very strange, I know. Uranus is conj. my Sun in Pisces in my 1st hs. mmmmm ahhhhh! l LIKE IT! (to just put the icing on, there is mutual reception of sorts with Neptune on my AC/Mercury in 12th /Venus in 12th in Aquarius! double mmmmmm aaaahhhhh!)
so that means that Saturn and Uranus are in loose opposition
that also means that Saturn is in loose opposition with MY SUN. :)
why am I grinning?
oh, I don't know. I think that Saturn in Virgo is a nice healing sort of thing for all of us even if its not always comfortable. its corrective!
I was driving around yesterday being rather ridiculously empathic and I was liking Saturn, and sort of upset that Saturn is so shunned and feared. I wanted another keyword to describe Saturn that is not so negative. I decided that the word I was reaching for was:
DEFINITION
see, someone once said that Saturn describes our fears. personally I don't see Saturn as being emotional at all. it doesn't have time for that. Saturn must put aside emotions in order to be Saturn. maybe WE have emotions in reaction to Saturn, but it is not Saturn having the emotion or making it.
Saturn gives definition. if we fear the results it is not Saturn's fault.
anyway, that is just one argument about one of the negative things I have heard about Saturn. there are many more. just wanted to share.
things need definition.

Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 12:38 PMInteresting...
This GWT you speak of is natal for me:
pisces sun
scorpio uranus
cancer moon
sun opposed saturn and Nnode
But lucky you... you don't also have moon square pluto in it or sun square neptune
I found the GWT emotions hard to control at first but it sounds like you are riding em like a pro ;-)
Also found it hard to remember my own feelings in the midst of all the empathy -you know who I am talking about Neptune
*Anyway* my word for saturn is:
structure -

Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 1:00 PMits kited tho with Saturn in Virgo. from what I understand, that helps pull the GWT into a good focus. I would think that an earthen Saturn would not be bad.
but anyway, I'm of the not-good-or-bad school. sure we all say things like "ow! saturn in aquarius conjunc your ac sounds painful!" but I never really feel this way. its all about how you work it. none of it is fate to me.
luck, no luck, whatever. I might get tired of looking at my chart but I still like it. -

Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 1:23 PMYep ... my kiting saturn is also in virgo natally!
Yep...I am going through my saturn return right now
(with natal Nnode opposing transiting Nnode(a while ago)
and natal uranus at scorpio of GWT and transiting uranus at pisces of GWT
and currently natal moon conjunct transit moon on cancer GWT
transiting sun right now isn't part of the GWT but it is conjunct my natal vertex)
Soon the transits will be:
saturn on natal saturn
moon on natal moon
sun on natal uranus
uranus on natal sun
Should be right around the holidays methinks
My first holiday celebration after my dad has died...I have heard about what those can be like ;-(
I have always felt as if I sort of carried the emotions of my family somehow. They are mostly libras, ( with aries and leo) and I have:
libra pluto quaring GWT cancer moon
and H7 neptune squaring GWT pisces
We shall see!
*Anyway*
I remember someone saying once that natal and synastry saturn aspects take time to develop. This has been excedingly true with my GWT-saturn kite. -

Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 7:23 PMSince we are givin Saturn some praise here goes -
My definition for saturn is "satifaction" and as virgo I would say "gettin it done."
-
Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 8:27 PMI like Saturn in Virgo. I like it more than it being in leo. Saturn in virgo has many good things in store. it's a you want it come get it. it's still in my first house but saturn in virgo works behind the scenes, i like working behind the scenes. maybe it's also because my progressed ac is in virgo and so saturn is in the 12th. i like saturn - don't shun it! my saturn return when it comes will be a ride..
transiting saturn also quintiles my sun but quare uranus. i want opposing transiting pluto to move far away from my sun though. i like transiting neptune just where it is - on my dc.
so my definition for saturn is a phrase: everything is in its right place. -

Re: I Like Saturn
Wed, October 31, 2007 - 10:44 PMone of the best astrology books I've read is Saturn: A New Look at an Old Devil by Liz Greene
www.amazon.com/Saturn-New.../0877283060
Liz Greene, in her inimitable style, presents the study of Saturn in Astrology as a means for self-discovery, growth, and, eventually, freedom! The meat of the book is broken down into chapters on Saturn in each of the elements (in watery signs and houses, and so forth). A later chapter explores Saturn in aspect to other planets in the birth chart. As with Saturn itself, Greene avoids labeling specific types of aspects as "good" or "bad". Saturn in synastry is also explored. Greene discusses how Saturn is necessary for long-standing relationships; Saturn's role in projection in relationships; as well as the concept of overcompensation.
Not only is this a thorough and insightful exploration of Saturn, it offers an excellent lesson about the signs, houses, and planets as well! For example, Greene suggests that Saturn is "the individual's point of greatest vulnerability".

Fri, November 2, 2007 - 8:29 AMSaturn has always been important for me as it marks my descendant and I take contractual agreements seriously.
If you look at a good star chart right now you will observe that Saturn is in Leo now and will be for some time to come.

Re: I Like Saturn
Fri, November 2, 2007 - 9:21 AMmy natal saturn is conjunct my mars in aries.
i thought i didn't like it before, that I was sort of kicking against myself all the time, but now I think it just helps me kick ass more seriously.
