I had a major headache one that put me into tears.
Got a call from a friend -framed some photo's for a love one .
Not sure if it was interesting or not but the headache was really bad and drawn out.
I noticed everyone I came acrossed or had contact with was farting, I even heard farting over the reciever of phone calls that i had recieved.
A couple of store clerks even were doing it . I was begining to think that my bottom might be a ventriloquist throwing rude sounds at other people's bottoms or maybe I am having onset of shizophrenia and it is some kind of strange hallicination .
Overall I mostly framed pictures -heard gas and was having a headaches -that can be interesting I suppose.

((((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))) sorry about the headache, Kate!

But ........ LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO @ the farting!!!
I can safely say, no farts over here. However, I did have some wicked battles with the EX today, and I could classify him as a fart. :oP

Say, what does it mean for Venus to go Direct?
    What's supposed to happen?

I know what Mercury Retrograde's about,
as well as Saturn Return, but I'm not schooled
    on Venus Direct.

Since Venus is the planet of Love, I imagine it means something like this is when things line up to support the manifestation of Love in one's life.

      Am I close?

I have not really perused in any great depth the correlations between Venus going retrogarde and farting. I have occasionally wondered what configurations 'Le Petomane' had in his chart - perhap he had a lot of gas and air in his nativity. He gave performances on stage where he was able to melodiously pipe the French National Anthem from his bottom. He could also do warplanes and bomb impressions.

Retrogrades in general support a time when we look back, or review the old, rather than move forward into the new. Contemplate. So in venus' case, it would be reviewing or contemplating things venus represents - relationships, values, creativity. I know several people who had experiences with their exes during this retrograde cycle - some re-visiting their connection, some coming to terms with finally terminating it.

From the article I posted by Lara Owen: Venus turns direct on September 8, at 16 Leo. Venus retrograde all summer dampened the usual festivities (quite literally in many parts, with flooding and torrential rain) but now turns direct, helping relationships in general and romantic love in particular. If you’ve felt held back or frustrated in your love life, take heart, a better phase begins now. It won’t be free of the influence of the retrograde or of Saturn, (which Venus conjuncts three times during this phase) until October 10, when Venus gets back to the place it turned around at. The combination of Venus and Pluto turning direct at the same time should be of benefit to world financial markets, which have stumbled in recent weeks.

i never have anything happen during venus rx, therefore i have no experiences to share. venus turned direct on my moon this time & nada. the last one hit my sun mercury jupiter conjunction a couple of times and turned direct on my north node & nada. I am not going to whine. hell i'd rather have nada then a farting bonanza.. lol

I honestly think the gas may have been due to the passing of the total eclipse(shoot a pun) and the one approaching .
I did find myself buying picture frames which seems very much Venus -my uncle started going through his jewlery box around the time it went direct.
          Nexus,
-I must see his chart now something profoundly jupiter and mercury maybe ?
if i find it I'll post it on the "Astrological Heroes and Vilians"

I have been going on a bunch of random dates... and being dragged around left and right... outta the house...

Natal Venus at 16 Taurus...Jupiter 16 Aquarius... then this one at 16 Leo...

I just came back from church a couple hours ago... and it was like Disney Land... the guy was "filled" with so much spirit he forgot to preach... and asked for money... money.... and how great his own private Disney Land was better then any small church on the block.

      People confuse me....

Is that a good thing Vineet? Venus going direct... clear-minded decision!

      Re: Venus direct

      Sun, September 9, 2007 - 2:27 PM
my ex-college had their graduation on the 8th, which I attended because I know the senior class pretty well. The school is wrought with political scandals and underhanded tactics, and there is a lot of animosity between the students and administration. But somehow, it was one of the most touching graduations I've been to... happy and light. The weather was beautiful.

I saw a woman there whom I'd slandered months ago for not being honest with me, creating a huge rift and a heated confrontation. Today we apologized for saying those awful things. We are no longer angry and we shook hands.

I got a fresh perspective on a broken relationship that was totally unexpected, and I'm finally able to move on... at least, I think I am. Somehow, all the strange things that have been going on seem much clearer for everyone. A drunken party ensued, and everyone had more fun than they've had in a long time.

My friend had his birthday on the 6th, and went to the city to celebrate. Haven't heard from him since, so I know he's probably had an exciting past few days...

There is a lot more, but I'm not going to go into it. The venus retrograde has really effected me and everyone I know, I think. We all agree life has been crazy for the past few months and now seems to be getting better, a new slate to work from (at least, that was my impression from the drunken rants).

My experience has been similar in the respect to "I got a fresh perspective on a broken relationship that was totally unexpected, and I'm finally able to move on... at least, I think I am. Somehow, all the strange things that have been going on seem much clearer for everyone. A drunken party ensued, and everyone had more fun than they've had in a long time." Of course my fun may have come out as my love being expressive rather than just repressed and i'm still making sense of everything. I don't know if i recommend alcohol on a day that venus goes direct.

a balsamic moon and saturn are just about exactly conjunct right at the moment (give em another 10 minutes) and just as exactly opposed my n.node (cnj s.node) by morning the moon will ill have opposed my sun, pallas and mercury . . . with saturn lumbering along in its wake for the next (??) days or weeks. I'm a big fan of reality, so what the heck, bring it on.

Oh, so Venus has been in Retro for a while now, eh?
That would explain a *hell* of a lot.
I'd be curious as well about when Retro began.

It's heartening to know romantic energies will be flowing more directly and clearly forward now.
Damn, it sure would be nice for a change.

venus was retrograde for just about 6 weeks

yeah, i'm feeling that moon / saturn conjunction today.
          blah

and like allan, venus is making a direct contact to my natal venus - along with uranus trine. i've been on lots of dates lately too, there's been lots of opportunity to meet new folks, which has been fun ..... but today it feels like i just want something to solidify into a "real" relationship, rather than the light and non-commital stuff thats been happening .

when it turned direct, the retro had carried venus back to where it had been on 6/19,
so the whole movie will have lasted from 6/19 (12* Leo) thru 10/12 (3*Virgo)
      • Re: Venus direct

        Sun, September 9, 2007 - 5:01 PM
it stationed retro on 7/27 at about 3* virgo. this episode will conclude on 10/12 when it gets back to where it was (3*virgo) and moves on into fresh territory again.

I don't mean this to sound arrogant but venus is conjunct my ascendant right now....this weekend I went to a wedding with a friend and we were laughing at the amount of catcalls, wolf whistles, and free drinks we recieved the whole trip there and back. I guess we are looking good lately.....................;-)

With venus direct hitting my ascendant, I was on a boat on the dock when a guy invited to his boat. The owner of the boat and this guy had an altercation that almost led to a fist fight. I am not dating nor want to date either of these guys so I thought it was funny.

melissa, i'd clear the question from my mind and maybe look at it later if there's any reason to --but never let a single aspect or factor (or even a bunch of them) discourage a seemingly good relationship.

Venus retro in Leo is about coming directly from the heart in our relations with other people...so sort of backtracking to make sure we're infusing our relationships with that sort of love...true, authentic, fun. Getting our loyalties straight...being loyal to our heart's desire rather than to the relationship itself. So this retro could have been about adjustments related to that for you...getting clear on what your heart is telling you, and being 100% authentic. Making sure you're being treated like the queen (Leo) that you are in your relationships (Venus). Also about values (Venus)...so getting clear about what you value in a relationship...and making sure what you're dealing with is true to that? I would say that a retro period is a period of sussing things out, maybe being aware of ways that you have not come from the heart in other relationships and making this one different. Or something. :)

I just realized Venus is conjunct my Ascendant, too. Woohoo! I should get out on the town!

Vineet and Steve, sorry to hear about the relationship troubles.

My partner's Venus will be at his 7th house when he comes over from England at the end of October. I hope that gives a good chance he might propose? If not.............. I'll be crying in my Newcastle beer. Dang those Venus in Sagittarius! They want to set up house, but not make it binding. arrggh.........
    • Re: Venus direct

      Sun, September 9, 2007 - 7:37 PM
Yeah, I'm curious about what Melissa said.

My ex started a new relationship right about 7/26 or so, and she seems *really* taken by him.
He's even proposed a Playa Wedding to her for next Burning Man and she seems really stoked.

I want to feel happy for her and hope that she finds all that she's looking for, but I can't deny I
also feel an edge of thinking this is all a very whimsical rebound* fantasy unfolding before her
and that she's gonna fall hard at some point when this initial phase of novel romance wears off
and certain realities start cropping up.

*There was never any true closure with our relationship and we were still in a process of
working things out one way or another up till about June. ...Is there a generally accepted
length of time that qualifies the rebound period? I imagine it's totally dependent on each
individual, but I'm just asking for the sake of verification.

Meanwhile I keep getting all these flaky women who act like they're really interested and then
do a 180 all of a sudden without any apparent rhyme or reason. And when I ask what's up,
they just treat me like I'm crazy for wondering. Arrrgghh!

...I've met some people who do especially well during retro periods while others get all
      f**cked up. Why is that?

I would say it's a rebound (for her), but Venus direct will tell the tale. Venus enters new territory Oct. 11, so wait and see.

Women are more than likely picking up on the "unfinished business" vibe about you related to this woman...that's more than likely why they're initially into you, and then later (once they've picked it up) back away. It's not responsible to enter into a new relationship with unfinished ties to the last one, in my opinion. :)

          Re: Venus direct

          Sun, September 9, 2007 - 8:03 PM
Also, the thing about Leo is that it relates to the fun, romantic kind of love - dating, candles, wine, going to the zoo together...you know, fun shit like that. Once Venus hits Virgo, it'll be down to bidness...related to the work, adjusting and refinement involved in really getting a relationship started, accepting the other's habits, work situation, cleanliness, etc. It moves beyond the fun, giggly stuff. Then Venus in Libra deals with the actual partnership...actual relationship, being together, committed, in the public eye sort of thing. Then Venus in Scorp...well...uhh...that's when the darker stuff starts to come out and we see if we can truly, deeply love the person, warts and all. If it's going to be a true merging of souls.

Venus in Leo is pretty lighthearted for the most part...it gets deeper. And for any relationships not able to move to the deeper stage...that will likely be the end of it.

"Meanwhile I keep getting all these flaky women who act like they're really interested and then do a 180 all of a sudden without any apparent rhyme or reason. "

what degree is your venus? are there other aspects to it that may be causing this? (uranus comes to mind)

"...I've met some people who do especially well during retro periods while others get all
f**cked up. Why is that? "

sometimes people that have the natal planet retrograde in their chart feel the retrograde periods as more natural to their own state of being.

A friend of mine did my chart online years ago
and I'm still very new to Astrology.

...Looking at my chart, it says:

          Sun - 2 - Aquarius

          Moon - 27 - Capricorn

          Mercury - 11 - Aquarius

          Venus - 4 - Aquarius

          Mars - 11 - Taurus

          Jupiter - 19 - Aquarius

          Saturn - 28 - Gemini

          Uranus - 27 - Libra

          Neptune - 9 - Sagittarius

          Pluto - 6 - Libra

          Chiron - 16 - Aries

          North Node - 26 - Sagittarius

          I hope that helps.

      Thanks Willow :)

It all makes sense, but maybe there are subtler shades of "finishing business" I'm not tuning into yet.

Since she totally closed down communication between us I've had to go through the work of getting
complete on my own and doing all the energetics of it regarding her at a distance through the Aether.

I'm not really focusing on getting into a new relationship, rather I'm focusing on my interior, my work,
and just being open to exploring whatever with whomever as seems appropriate, healthy, interesting,
      fun, etc.

That being said, I'm definitely keeping my awareness open for my life-partner.

In a way, I do feel the Universe watching my back so to speak to ensure everything else in my life
is in good order while keeping un-harmonious relationships away until It brings me to Her.
  • Re: Venus direct

    Mon, September 10, 2007 - 2:40 AM
Too much drama. My Aquarius Venus was born in Retro and I really had some strange experiences in relationships...probably more so than my thinking back in Merc Retro earlier this spring/summer.

I think this Jupiter in Sagittarius is just catapulting me ahead like 50 years in life. I've never gone through so much self-relfection in my entire life and I usually did quite a bit...but I'm going over the top now. I'm doing so much research into everything I'm at a loss. I've definitely become a spiritual person and a huge reader of anything over the past year...especially since I graduated from college in May(I'm 25)...still not knowing where life is going. Think I have the answers but then again I have a crazy imagination. Definitely not building any bridges...not burning too many old ones either though..hmm..actually that's probably not the case. I always burn bridges. All these occult studies, numerology, tarot, metasymbology and whatnot keep telling me more or less I'm a God...and now I'm actually starting to believe it...but I don't...I think we're all God. Religion is playing a big aspect too, Gnosticism, Buddhism, Taoism mostly...and then even still some own theories I've had of my own for some time too...so yeah...I could go for some normalcy one of these days. I hate mundane jobs though...and the corporate system...so I guess I'm trying to write a book...I have way too many interests and points to go off of though over the past few months it's hard to keep focused. My main drift at the moment is the human soul and peace on earth...how to incorporate some of these other crazy things(videogames even) and not sound insane is kind of tough...but people think I'm insane either way...so...

    Yeah.

A couple of months ago my relationship has been going down hill. It hit bottom the first weekend of Sept. I definately thought it was over. Then this week my friends begin to inform me of admirers and my Scorpio boyfriend rediscovers his love for me. Just in case this makes a difference -I have Venus in Scorpio). This weekend we felt the closest we have been in months, also I felt a great bond with my family. I'm pretty new to this and don't know how to read my chart. Can anyone shed insight?
  • Re: Venus direct

    Mon, September 10, 2007 - 8:09 AM
I had an emotional break Thursday night, sobbed to myself at 3 a.m. Friday morning, felt like I was falling in love with my current love interest, but doubted my personal feelings of love for him as well as whether he reciprocated.

Saturday night, Venus direct: We went to a party together, his work friends told me he was really into me, was wondering about when does "commitment" happen (we've been at this for over four months now) and was uneasy about (noncommittal) statements I had made about moving to New York City.

In general, the vibe was sexy, loving, and expressive and I feel very confident now that his feelings are reciprocated and we can finally move forward with this relationship with some confidence. We were disgustingly heavy on the PDAs, which made me feel so very loved

I had been thinking it was just a "summer love" thing, but I think it is much bigger than that. And I am very excited about it, as I think he is a fabulous, exciting, interesting, wonderful person.

    Ninth house rules!!!

Now I'm just waiting for the right time for either of us to say the "L-word."

I had a very bad headache Sunday morning, since that is the theme here. I also had two beers and a vodka cranberry the previous night, and was going through my monthly agony, so maybe that has more to do with it than Venus Direct.

My ex husband and I have been trying to negotiate the terms of our divorce during this venus retrograde. I thought we had come to a fair agreement on 8/20. However, when the final papers arrived, my intuition was telling me *do not sign*. Not in a romantic sense, but in a sense of what is fair, and right for me; that I can walk away, and not be bitter. Last Thur, I woke up, and it dawned on me that a major financial factor was not taken into account, one that would be in my favor. Now, to return to the table...as he thought we were finished with it all....
      • In a dream...

        Mon, September 10, 2007 - 8:21 PM

A couple nights after I came back from the Playa -where I had acquired much completion regarding my ex- I had a dream about her that seemed to bring more closure for me.

In this dream-reality, a friend of mine had a relationship with my ex sometime before I did. The dream acquires a kind of clarity as I'm getting ready to go somewhere & I'm musing about this connection between the 3 of us.

I'm thinking about how whimsical her relationships with each of us had seemed, how her new interest is just a rebound and how her heart seems to ridiculously go where the wind blows. I felt a sort of pity and exacerbation towards her.

As if on cue with this internal review, my friend and my ex come out of the blue as if heading off to some private and intimate affair. I say to them "Oh, this is *perfect*!" (as this seems to fall right into what I was just thinking to myself before they appeared).

Since she was always possessive and paranoid about my friendships with women, I say to her in a chastising manner that spoke into her hypocrisy, "Well what about (new guy)? What would *he* think (of these two going off together)? How would *he* feel about this?"

Surprisingly, yet perhaps to prove to me that there was nothing to hide, my friend tells me to come along with them. However, my surprise didn't quell my outrage. After entering his car, I start sharing my thoughts candidly and my ex surprises me by getting out of shotgun and joining me in the back seat with this look in her eye that strangely mixes sympathy, sadness, hurt and anger.

I stop for a moment to take in her gaze and suddenly feel a swell of compassion and love for her rise in my chest and throat. I put my arm around her and pulled her into an embrace. She then mounts me and starts dry-humping me and for a moment I give into it.

But I sense the wrongness of it, stop her, tell her I don't want to get intimately involved with her and that she needs some serious professional help (conveying silently that she's out of control).

As if to illustrate my point, I start reviewing to her the sequence of events that defined her relationship patterns -how she dealt with my friend in their earlier relationship, how she dealt with me and how her dynamics are now with her current interest.

This is where the dream ends and I awake with a strange new peace in my heart.

This dream felt like my intellect & heart coming into a concordance regarding my inner resolution of my relationship.

I've come to a relatively peaceful place concerning my process and am no longer pensive about how long it will take or what shape it will require to do so. I feel okay just letting it unfold as it must, feeling whatever I feel without judging myself, and breathing easy for the first time in a long while.

...Before, during and since Burning Man I've had a few distressing encounters as I mentioned earlier, but I've been having far more pleasant though fleeting experiences that I have found rather perfect for where I am at. It's like the Universe keeps sending me this sweet cosmic nymphs to gently kiss me, play and dance a while as they pass by -reminding me that I'm perfectly desirable yet still where I need to be at as I evolve through this stage of my Journey.

They remind me that my time for Deep and Lasting Love is coming :)

          Yes Marcia,

This retrograde has really enlightened me as to much I am identified with Venus...( 7th house, Pisces; conj.Chiron)I have become moreaware of the energy it brings forth in me...and the effect that my love relationships have on me. : )

magenta, your comment to me? (summer moon) aka FaF....

I did watch the eclipse...did not sense much then...I realized the error Thur morn 9/6. I am still working on the clerical aspects.

My Venus at 7*22 Pisces...Conj Chiron 11*59, Opposed to Asc, Uranus, Pluto...Venus was semi sextile Mars on that date, 8/28.

Have been dealing with tons of Self-love/self-worth issues...Actually moved out of 4yr relationship, although we are still working things out...have had some heart palpitations. I also have Saturn coming upon my 7th House and Saturn Return...does it ever end?? :)
Thanks Willow for your explanation of the process of Venus...very cool!

Yeah Venus conjunct Saturn nearly killed me (and my relationship). There was just so much stress and "issues" the universe obviously pushed for us to work on, but to me it seemed to be slamming us for no reason. Then Venus had to go retro at almost exactly opposite my natal venus, which made it LINGER on Saturn for ssssssooooooooooooooooo llllonnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg. The whole conjunct Saturn, retro, then conjunct Saturn again thing has just been stress, Stress, STRESS. Add that with the eclipses in my (and at times my bf's as well) 1st and 7th house the last two years and a host of life changes....it's been pretty hard. We're a Capricorn sun (composite) and we have Venus in Cap as well so it just seemed unnecessary (JUST A BIT). Has been a little rough ( ok, I admit even the rough parts were fun and a just a lil more than a bit halarious looking back at it, albeit brutal and cruel), but now I understand why Saturn is exalted in the 7th house.
    • Venus direct to my DVD

Thursday, I watched "Venus" DVD from 2006, with Peter O'Toole, Vanessa Redgrave, and Leslie (actor of 70 years experience) and new young actress playing "Venus". Hanif Kareshi screenwriter. It was fantastic, with quite a lot of Venus retrograde mixed in with several Saturine themes.

I have quite a lot of activity in natal my Leo with Pluto and Jupiter in the eight house 26 degrees with Sag ascendant 26 degrees. Would anyone know when Venus will be visiting Leo, say 26 degrees? soon?

venus will be visiting 26* Leo soon, for the 3rd time in recent months.
        3rd time's a charm (?)

I've actually been having especially good experiences in my love life during this period, which is kind of ironic considering that transiting Venus is exactly conjunct my natal 7th house Saturn. Maybe the positive effect could also have to do with finally being past my 7th house Saturn Return (and all the difficult, isolating introspection that went along with it).

saturn conjunctions can have a lot to do with commitment....which can feel good in a relationship!
I think the most troubling saturn aspects are more the square and opposition from what I can tell.
Sure maybe saturn conjunct isn't a barrel of monkeys! Or a jumpin' house party!
But commitment is a key ingredient in a lasting and healthy relationship.

Thank you, Willow. I've marked my calender. Would you have a link for me to look up the time/frame, and put it in the appointment book? Just joking.

A little off topic, but how do you calculate a saturn return and what is it exactly? I saw some people talking about it in this post....

the return of saturn or any planet occurs when it completes an orbit around the sun and returns to the degree/minute of the sign where it's placed in your natal chart. Saturn orbits take about 28-29 years. You can look it up in an astrological ephemeris or calendar like www.astro.com/swisseph/swepha_e.htm --due to retrograde motion, it may actually cross your natal deg/min 3 times over a span of months. Just start looking at the year of your 29th b'day (or 58th, etc).
