Large quakes correlate much better to heliocentric alignments, geomagnetic storms occur at these alignments and are a good candidate for causing the quakes. October 15th to 17th 2008 has one of the stronger alignments this year, and could produce a larger quake. The Moon is full from the 14th so the highest tides will be around the 15/17th adding to potentials. I already have this date marked for development of one of the larger Atlantic tropical storms for this year.

This weekend and into early next week are when things get really interesting - i actually pushed the dates forward a bit from 10/20-10/25 being the most likely..

I live in San Francisco so i am not exactly excited about the prospects of an accurate prediction and its possible effect on me personally.

I would be very suprised if there were no increased seismic activity with all of these planets jammed up this way

interestingly there is an unexpected storm threatening western mexico today

I am so suprised to see your post on this subject,
i am personally interested in earthquakes and i often visit this website:
www.iris.edu/seismon
its a map of the world and it shows the world's earthquakes,
red for today, orange for yesterday, yellow for last week, etc.
and after watching this website i have found that earthquakes always follow a pattern.
its neat, check it out,
and my personal addition to your prediction is that the earthquake will hit the pacific northwest.
i know that doesn't fit with your "south" specification, but i'm just going off of intuition.
anyways,

This is from my weekly newsletter - if you want to see the chart i reference you can view my tribe blog

View and respond to this newsletter at http://weekly-horoscope.net/blog/

Blessed selves,
Yesterday we had little earthquake in Hawaii that was scary but largely uneventful. Yet, for the next week and a half, especially near the 21st of October, there is a high earthquake risk. Astrologically, many planets in angles from the Sun and Moon, or worse yet, joined the Sun and Moon are the telltale signs of earthquake activity. The chart to the right is for the new Moon of October 21. Notice every planet except Saturn is joined this new Moon. What this shows is a very focused and concentrated gravitational field pulling on the earth at one time and in one direction. This gravitational phenomena tends to open and separate the tectonic plates, producing an earthquake.I’m sure there is a way to tell when and where this event will happen, but I have not studied it and I don’t have time to study it. If I were to generally speculate, using Vedic directions Libra either rules the West or the South, depending on which system use. We could say Southwest, and cover both possibilities - the Southwest region of a certain country. If this is the United States, that with the Los Angeles area. If that were India it would be Kerala. I don’t know the geography of China or Japan well enough to say. South America, that would be Chile or Argentina. I could be way off on this, because I have not studied but I would be very surprised if this event did not produce some sort of major seismic events — hopefully they will occur in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean or Atlantic Ocean, where there are no inhabitants.

The possibility of all these planets in the air sign of Libra, also could mean violent windy disturbances like tornadoes

Beyond that, there are many planets about to change signs in the next couple of weeks. This upcoming week, son Mars and Venus will all change signs as well. We are all feeling is it for on the precipice of a very big shift, and we are. As I have been saying in this newsletter for a couple of weeks. Let’s hope that the next couple of weeks are smooth ones and our transition into the next phase of life is gentle.

In general, the next year as a lot of promise in the way of resolving these nuclear disputes peacefully and other impending difficulties. Next year there is a high level of diplomacy operating in world. Mercury for instance will be in air signs for more than six months next year. Jupiter will be extending a favorable trinal aspect to Saturn for three or four months. Jupiter and Mars will be exchanging energy for close to four months next year. This is all good news. Extending the forecast into the following year, Jupiter will be in his own sign of Sagittarius at that time, again giving a helpful trinal aspect to Saturn and South node in Leo — helping to smooth over some of the bumps in the road. So don’t let the transitions and the approaching shift scare you. Do your meditations and keep your mind elevated and you will attract the favorable spirit of transition that is moving through the universe at this time.
