C section time????

topic posted Thu, May 1, 2008 - 7:05 AM by  Shelly
What time on Monday, May 5, 2008 would be best time to have our new baby? I have to have a c-section and I need to let my doc know today. I Know it's a new Moon in taurus, a grand trine earth. This is an excerpt I read.

"This New Moon is kissing the Sun in Taurus with a wide orb square to Chiron, the wounded healer, in Aquarius. This is a perfect opportunity to pair up with someone and do something wonderful for your physical, emotional or spiritual health! A beautiful Grand Trine in Earth leaps from this lunation chart! Who can argue when Venus (the planet of love), Saturn (the great teacher and planet of commitment) and Pluto (the planet of power, rebirth and transformation) are all in agreement!! New beginnings take on form and have staying power now! The Nodes dance with Chiron and Neptune on the Aquarian/Leo polarity! It is difficult to heal the heart with the head - we must draw upon a Higher Power! "

I can pick anytime up until 8:00 PM. What would you choose?
Thanks in Advance for any help.

I would dink around with charts changing the time
and seeing what feelings I get from them actually
and if I see things i like or dont like when putting together
          my chart with theirs.
There is not going to be alot of change excepting the ascendant
          and possibly the moon.
In actuality I would just sit in a quiet place
feel into communication with the childand think about what felt like a good time
not looking at charts at all because the childs energy is aligning with itself
and the best expression is going to be an agreement between you and the child
not your intellectual thinking brain stuff and your doctor
at least to the best degree possible
          and here's another cent

Thanks for your replies. The baby is causing my blood pressure to rise, so I am on bed rest lying on left side until Monday when I check in to have a Cesarean.

Rose, I agree with your response as well. I love knowing astrology, and yet, at the same time, I hate knowing. I have played with the charts the Moon stays in Taurus but then Mars went into house 12, and I was like no way, then Scorpio was on the AC, and I was like oh no. I haven't a clue, I actually feel bad for trying to chose what I think will be perfect for this baby. If I can help her avoid my own 12th house, 8th house placements, I thought that would be ideal. I just don't have the in depth knowledge to know what house Chiron should be in, and etc.

I am going off to meditate for a while, and I will call and set up a time.

            Thanks to all!

I don't look at it as choosing a time for the perfect baby but rather because you need the C- section this is a surgery and it is a concern having to do with you .
Anyhow you may go into labor before the time and day you choose for the 5th -just be aware of signs of labor or swelling and those white floating spots . Plus if you feel secure by choosing a certain time will make the healthies baby possible so what .
There is nothing wrong with doing what you feel in your heart is the best thing. Its not going to change who that baby is either way but maybe give you a peace of mind. So don't feel badly that you want the best for your baby . You are your baby 's guardian and it trust you and at this stage it would never judge the choices you make. All the best and blessings to you and your family. Your baby knows what its doing and so does your body. Your beautiful !

focusing on the surgical aspect of the situation, scorpio rising or scorpio on the 6th house cusp might be good.

Ok Shelly, since you are looking for a time, the first one that I cast was at 5:48 am, based on a birth location of New Orleans.

It will make the child a triple Taurus, with the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant there. Venus is almost exactly conjunct the Ascendant at that time, with the point of fortune 1º away, also in the first house.

Venus is the ruler of Taurus, and also Libra, which is fully intercepted in the 6th house. So that places Venus, POF, Moon, Sun, and Mercury all in the first house. Venus is the leading planet in the chart and receives extra strength, being angular and conjunct the Ascendant. Besides Venus being part of a Grand trine to Saturn and Pluto, the Ascendant also becomes part of that Grand Trine. It would also place the child's Ascendant in sextile to your ascendant.

The 8th and 12th house are vacant of any planets, just a few roids. The ruler of the 8th house is Jupiter, and it it located 1º from the Midheaven.

It Places Saturn in the 5th house, but it places it in trine to the Venus / Ascendant.

The Moon is applying, and is less than 1º from an exact conjunction with the Sun. Outting them both in trine to Jupiter.

I didn't play around with the times alot, but as a first try, it seemed very beneficial in my view.

I wish you and your baby all the best!

                  .

yikes! who'd want to be a triple anything?
this day is seriously lacking in fire and air signs . . . i'd pick one of those 6 signs for the ascendant.

You should have the baby at 7-9am. Those are the hours of the dragon in chinese astrology and drangons are very admirable people.

      yikes Stevo!

First off, there is nothing wrong with a triple Taurus. Being a Taurus myself, I know what a wonderful nature we have :D Especially with its ruler, Venus,so well placed, in its home and angular. Also having Jupiter, a benific, on the Zenith, angular.

But as far as fire and air signs, as you proposed, lets look at the parameters that we have to work with.

Earth and water have plenty of planets, and air has Mercury, Ceres, Chiron, North Node, and Neptune. So it is fire that would be lacking.

She said she could have the birth until 8 pm, and that she wants to avoid 8th and 12th house placements.

At 8pm, it would give 20º Scorpio rising, but would move the moon into a tight square with Neptune / North node and would form a T-square with Saturn. It would also put the Moon in opposition to the Ascendant.

Also, after 8pm would pretty much leave out the rest of Scorpio, Sagg, Aquar, and Pisces rising until 4 am.

So we will look at the other two fire signs, Aries and Leo.

At 4:06 am it would start Aries rising, but put Uranus, Neptune and NN in the 12th house, with Pluto conjunct the midheaven. And becuse of the size of the 12th house, any degree of Aries rising would keep Uranus in the 12th.

Gemini rising puts Venus, Sun, and Moon in the 12th.

Early Cancer rising puts Mercury in the 12th, and Chiron,Neptune, NN in the 8th. End of Cancer puts Mars in the 12th, and Neptune and NN are still in the 8th.

Ok, the other fire sign, Leo. Early Leo puts the Ascendant on square to Venus. Nept, NN, still in 8th, Mars in 12th.
Mid Leo puts the Ascendant in square to the Sun and Moon. Saturn is in the first house, Mars in the middle of the 12th, And Uranus is in the middle of the 8th. The very end of Leo would take Mars out of the 12th, Uranus would be in the 7th, and the 8th and 12th would be relatively clear, But it would put Saturn smack dab on the Ascendant.

Virgo rising creates an empty first house, Saturn in the 12th, and Venus in the 8th. (venus in 8th is ok) But getting this late in the day moves the Moon to square Chiron, Neptune, NN stronger.
Late Virgo puts the Sun, Moon, and Venus in the 8th, with Saturn still in the 12th.

Libra rising is still the same. Mid Libra clears the 12th, but adds Mercury, Moon, and Sun to the 8th.

After taking more time and looking through all of the options, I still see the Taurus rising as the most beneficial to the child.

what's so bad about saturn in the 12th?

"what's so bad about saturn in the 12th?"

Perhaps Stevo you would know well Saturn in the 12th, seeing as yours is there and part of a Grand Square in your chart. As long as it isn't suppressed in your subconcious mind.

A woman I spent time with last year had this placement and she spent a few years in prison, needed alot of solitude and spent much time getting away alone to deal with things such as guilt and emotions.

But actually, I am looking at this chart as a whole.

Saturn is in Virgo, which is ruled by Mercury, and in the chart there is a Saturn square Mercury. Also Saturn in the 12th would give Virgo rising and the square would not help in its rulership of the Ascendant. Most likely causing criticism to and from the father or older individuals, work injuries and perhaps hospitilizations.

It also moves the Moon in a tighter square to Chiron, NN, and Neptune.

The chart which I have proposed places Saturn in trine to the Ascendant and sextile to the 7th house, and gives strong dignity to the Ascendant. The Moon square to Chiron is lessened and the square to NN / Neptune is almost nonexistent.

Side note: I would opt for her to give birth on the side of 5-10 minutes ,if needed, before the time proposed, rather than 5-10 minutes later. Later would put Venus a bit into the 12th house.

          .

well, here's my take on it. first, as far as that grand cross goes, saturn's retrograde at 14d libra (exalted) on my 12th house cusp, exactly opposed jupiter (direct) in aries on the 6th cusp. perhaps that jupiter placement has helped to avert (so far) any of the hospitalizations that are often referred to. on the cross, i have chiron in cap tightly opposed to uranus in cancer -- both at 10d which is a slightly wide orb for a grand cross involving those 2, so i don't give that as much thought.

as far as saturn is concerned, my pisces sun doesn't object to saturn being relegated to the subconscious zone. i'm not big on conscious structure and discipline, but i do kind of like the libra discrimination relating to "subconscious" or spiritual matters. it seems like a good asset in terms of completing or finalizing various karmic affairs, but who would know for sure?

as far as confinement goes, virtually all of mine seems obviously self-imposed. i've never (in 56 years) spent more than a few days in a hospital or jail (once each). I have enjoyed quite a bit of self imposed solitude, though i can also be quite social when i care to. i spent my early childhood in a very pleasant rural environment with only sisters near my own age, so i spent a lot of time on my own. upon moving to the suburbs at age 9, i was very aware of being deprived of the luxury of solitude (sometimes) --and didn't hesitate to move back to the boonies as a young adult.

otherwise, 12h house saturn in libra seems to resonate well with both my pisces sun and my aquarius moon/venus. it may help in allowing me to draw my own conclusions and elude, rather than become subject to externally imposed restrictions or authority. I've always had the sense self regulation can easily beat externally imposed regulation to the punch, and in that self-limited sense, i've enjoyed tremendous freedoms. Saturn in the 12th might say that ultimately we may retain and ultimately deny others the privilege of imposing any judgement over us.

That is great Stevo! I am happy for you that you have been able to integrate it so well. I do believe though that Neptune being in the house of its strength (the 12th) has assisted alot in that, tying it to the spiritual.

I did research and investigate alot of sites, as well as your 12th house tribe and the other 12th house tribe to get more input on Saturn in the 12th before I posted my last post. Overall, yours was pretty much the only positive outlook on it, all the others conceded that it was no real bed of roses for them. As well as me having personal experiences with those that have Saturn in the 12th.

But as I will againe reiterate, I am working within the parameters that Shelly requested, to avoid planets in the 12th and the 8th, because of her own personal experience.

that which we seek to avoid will usually bite us on the ass.

since about 1 in 3 births in the US these days is by planned c/s, a lot of people are tweaking their kids' charts, intentionally or otherwise. the possible implications of this baffle me, and i think i'd try to preserve (to the extent possible) allowing the kid's spirit as much autonomy inn determining the outcome as possible.

imo, the fact that a parent has fears associated with the 8th and 12th house shouldn't be imposed upon the child.

Whatever time that a child IS to be born, it will be born.

The fact that the parent chose the time does not change what was already to be.

The "oracle" speaking to Neo in The Matrix: "Now what will really blow your mind is, would you had broken the vase if I hadn't have said anything? Lol!

Did she cause him to break the vase? Or did she see into the future and know that he would stop, and turn around, and knock off the vase?

I don't believe it, but for those of you that do, did the child's soul pick the parent, knowing that they would pick the most profitable time for them to be born?

Chew on that one awhile. :D
