A few synastry aspects

Hi,
I'm having some difficulty finding information about these synastry aspects:

His North Node conjunct my Ascendant (I'm more interested though in South node conjunct descendant) in Aries

His Moon conjunct my IC in Cancer

His Mars/Uranus conjunction--conjunct--my Moon/Neptune conjunction, in Sagittarius. No idea where to go with this one.

Any insight?

To add to that second aspect, it's his Moon conjunct my IC/North Node conjunction. Although contact between my node and his moon is out of orb.

The North Node is where the Moon crosses the ecliptic going toward the northern hemisphere, and the South Node is where she crosses the ecliptic headed south. The North Node and the South Node are always directly opposite one another in the sky. Assuming the birth times are correct, the nodes are karmic indicators, and the north node conjunct the ascendant (south node conjunct the descendant) would show a relationship that is more likely to be fated and important. It could be that you have experienced past lives together, if you believe in such things (the south node is what you take with you into this life, the north what you are here to learn in this life). In traditional astrology, the north node was the more favorable of the points known as the dragon's head (caput draconis), the south his tail (cauda draconis) and seen as a malefic influence. But in Vedic they are both considered negative because it tends to show that there is karmic debt owed to each other somehow, most likely him paying you back for something you did to him. The nodes tend to get in the way with how we connect with one another, probably due to issues we have experienced growing up. The sign they are in gives more clues as to how the karma is supposed to unfold. The north node in Aries, south in Libra shows that he wants to embrace his own identity but also has a great longing for a relationship (perhaps with you), so much so that he may pretend to be someone that he is not. In my opinion, there are more important things to focus on in synastry.

Any planets conjunct the angles are supposed to again show an important relationship, and that planet is particularly important, as the angles are the most powerful areas in a chart. The IC is obviously associated with the home and family, and his Moon conjunct your IC (especially within 5 degrees, the tighter the orb the stronger the feeling) would likely show that you have similar roots and might get along well enough to live together (I'd look at the composite 4th house to be sure though). He brings out the domestic side in you, and you would more likely think seriously about settling down with him (vs. him with you, unless his 4th house says something similar to your planets). It's your IC, so YOU feel it there more than him.

A Moon/Neptune conjunction in Sag is something I have. We tend to be the more idealistic and dreamer types, with at least slight optimism, even with hard placements from other planets in your chart (such as Saturn). Although you are normally very intuitive, it makes it difficult for you to see relationships as they are, as you place the people you love on a pedestal. There is a sexual attraction when someone's Mars/Uranus conjuncts your Moon, but Uranus contact makes things more unstable and difficult to maintain. Your Neptune in contact with those two planets increases sexual fantasies and creative energies. If Neptune proves to be prominent here via other aspects as well, I'd be careful in idealizing the relationship, or deceiving one another somehow (intentional or not).

Here's a good website on synastry:

Also, in relationships, conjunctions are obviously the most powerful aspects and also the most difficult to deal with. When planets are conjunct Uranus (the planet associated with instability and change in relationships), there is a need for a lot of freedom, so much so that the relationship may be sacrificed. With his north node in Aries and a Mars/Uranus conjunction, he is likely the one to need it the most. He may need some excitement in order to stay interested, especially if other factors say so in his chart. If your chart favors someone who is not very fixed and is more unconventional in relationships, it would make this difficult placement easier to deal with.
