Same Birthday

topic posted Sun, May 2, 2010 - 5:51 AM by  Stephanie
I just found out that one of my co-workers has the same birthday as me, same year and everything. If he is correct with his birthtime we were born 34 minutes apart. We both are going into the same field work wise. We started talking and of course we have many similarities, but we act very differently. I feel that I am a more conscious version of him.
Has anyone else met someone with the same birthday as them? If so what did you observe and what did you take from them?

There was a boy born to the woman across from my mother in the delivery room the same day as me, but she and my mother didn't keep in touch (they only knew each others' first names) so I have no idea where he is or anything like that. It was a city hospital and my parents were from a rural area hours away so, yeah. Ah well :(

Two of my neighbors were born the same day though, Sun in Cancer Moon in Gemini. They were probably born very close together with the same ascendant too because they look exactly alike (girl and guy, but still). Same sharp sense of humor, same attachment to home and family.

Hi Stephanie, there was a girl in my class at school who was born on the same day as me, we were very dissimilar at least as far as school/career went. I loathed every minute of it and couldn't wait for my release to come through, she loved it and was an achiever (I think she went to work for a merchant bank or something). We got along fine, though - probably a similar sense of humour and outlook. What I do recall is that she was very assertive and outgoing and what I suppose you'd call more maths and science oriented and involved in sports teams (Sagittarius?), whereas I was introverted and arty, much more into art, music, english and things like that. I was never much good at football lol

Just goes to show how these things can be expressed in completely different ways, I'd never thought of this instance until now.

I met a woman who was born the same day as me but never got to know her very well. We did have a nice hug and I remember discovering that she had a fairly obscure astrology book that I also had. I think I read something about her once that seemed to indicate she had the same poor luck with relationships that I have.

A coworker and I were born on the same day. He is Saturn rising in Virgo and I am Pluto rising in Libra.

I have worked with him for quite some time and since I discovered his birth time I've used him as a test subject, unbeknownst to him :-)

We're both intellectual and physically 'fluid' as in we both have good physical balance and body control (as comes in handy in playing sports or games) . Don't know if that is astrological or not,but we were born with well-aspected Jupiter's and Uranus' with soft aspects to the Moon,Mercury and Mars by both. We can both be silent and observant or witty and provocative though I can be intimidating and he is not. We're both playfully competetive with friends and coworkers and we both usually win :-) , though he has a slight edge on me playing pool. I have his number at shuffle board, so its all good.

A lot of differences, but several similarities that are intriguing.

some 10 years after I have seen him.

I went on a big ramble and forgot to mention...

              "he is my spiritual daughter"

Jen - that story with that birthday overlap is so strange and fascinating. Especially so, since they even have opposite Moon signs. Whoa.

I went to high school with a girl who was my exact birthday twin and to college with a guy who was, as well. I have Gemini Rising, and - if I have their info correct - she's a Virgo Rising (though I could see it being a bit off and her being Leo Rising) and he's a Libra Rising.

I didn't get to know either of them well enough to tell how alike we were, but I really liked both of them as acquaintances. She seemed much more outgoing than I was and we were incredibly different from a superficial P.O.V., appearance-wise and socially, but I always was really intrigued by her and thought she was fun and strange. The guy always seemed really nice and friendly and pleasant to be around, but with a bit of gravity or sadness to him under the surface. I think I was surprised to find under-the-surface weirdness with her and under-the-surface sadness with him. I have no idea how I come across to acquaintances - I actually think it's incredibly dependent on the other person, as my initial appearance varies a lot in a pretty Geminian way. But I could be wrong.

It's surprising that I liked both these people so much, because, often, I tend to really clash with people who have very similar chart factors to mine. Some other very Taurus/Scorpio people and I wind up getting along initially and then being very uncomfortable around each other and having weird fallings-out (though these often are related to third parties, actually).

I also grew up as friends with a number of people who were born a few days before me, and we all got along fantastically well. I can really see some personality similarities between us (tendency to hoard things, mixed extroversion and reclusiveness, enjoying doing collaborative creative work and dressing up in weird things, etc.). Who knows if those are astrologically-related commonalities, though...

I also saw the same birthday/different year thing mentioned on here. My family has a LOT of that, especially between a person and a parent of their significant other (or romantic interest). Since the charts would be so different, I'm not sure why it's relevant, but it's a significant pattern, seems like.
--My dad had the same birthday as my mom's mom.
--My mom has the same birthday as her current spouse's dad.
--I dated a girl with the same birthday as one of my step-moms.
--I share a birthday with the father of a girl with whom I had a kind of all-consuming, years-long romantic obsession (which wound up being a mutual, but unfulfillable, crush).

My 8th grade history teacher had the same birthday as me.

I met a woman in a nightclub who had the same birthday as me, but she was a year younger than me. That was the same with a co-worker of mine in the navy.

One of my mom's friends has the same birthday as me, but she's in her 50's.

Winona Ryder has the same birthdate as me.

Last year, I posted a thread about a friend born two weeks after I whose chart was remarkably similar to mine. I was curious because I had a hard time figuring out how it could be so similar, yet it was clear that we are quite different with quite different life experiences. In mulling this over since then, it seems to me that, if I get passed the minutiae of appearances, a number of themes do seem to be quite similar, and, indeed even some of that minutiae is similar.

Both of us have a Cancer Venus, and we both have a strong emphasis on family and matters of hearth and home ~ even with the difference in House placement. We both have Ceres in Aries in the 8th, and, indeed, the combination of looking after and being looked after mothers who do not drive and don't have much social life is the same, although his mother is a drastically different kind of person from mine. Our 12th House stelliums with Sun, Leo Pluto, and Jupiter (conjunct Virgo Asc), and Mercury in the 1st tends, for both of us, to find us in weird life situations and scenarios, to make us loquacious, to give us a wry sense of humor, to generate a bit of luck in escaping disasters, and to make us rather detail-oriented ~ albeit in different ways.

I mention this in support of the comments that suggest that how people are astrologically similar can transcend the details and circumstances of one's life and nevertheless come through in broader strokes.
