Thank you all women for your replies
   I read through everyone's posts.
Quite varied in responses, but have to agree the gravitational "pull" of the moon
does play a part in our cycle.
I was due the week of the Full Moon this month, but ended up coming a week later.
With a solar eclipse looming and certain planets being in a particular alignment at this time
I can't help but feel that these can throw an imbalance in a women's cycle, and if I may state
quite possibly in a "men's cycle".
As stated PMS was the longest for me as far as I can recall and very hard psychologically this
month. Alot of planetary activity this month.. hope this won't be happening again for a while.

It seems we are on the same cycle, I had the exact same shifts in the onset of mine in Jan, Feb, and Now. (just last night in fact.) and I did notice this month's to be unusual...I got PMS for over 3 weeks and I never really get it (espec. now as I am nursing my baby, so PMS and a period is like, WOW, already?). Anyway, the PMS was noticeable, I almost went to buy a pregnancy test because I just felt loaded.

I don't know what has been extra unusual with this moon phase...I know the Sun and Pluto are doing their thing with the Galactic Core...but does that really affect the Lunar expression of cycles?

Curious.
One blog I read said the Virgo Full Moon (which was a partial eclipse) was going to be extra emotional--on the level of how we get our needs met, how we respect others in relationships, and needing to "grow up" with the mutual respect thing and learn to let each other be individuals and independent within relationships.

That's alot to digest:)

But curious.

Its true I think what Alicia said about the other women that you are around. I've also found this holds true more than the Moon. There have been studies done on this and the longer a group of women are together, the more in synch their cycles tend to become. I have noticed this over probably a 25 year time span and around several different groups of co-workers. If you'd like more information on this, google menstrual synchrony or Martha McClintock (researcher).
Although I'm not a good subject to ask about this any more. I haven't paid much attention to it recently as mine have been off for a while, since I've gotten older.

Just over my last cycle, I started charting my cycle with that of the moon, and keeping a journal regarding it.... every woman should! I feel like I've been missing out! <3 It is a DAMN SHAME that woman in general are not educated on the relationship between the moon and the female cycle ... or most things regarding the cycle!

Hey ladies.. Moon & cycles.
This is not so mystical..
Simple. .Science
Gravitational pull.

The moon has a gravitational pull on the earth and humans, & well everything.
Think about the oceans and the tides that are regulated by the moon, & we are 98% water.
Also you know the rule. Move 5 woman into the same house, & in 2 months they all have a similar cycles. “Smell”. The hormones in humans are affected & regulated by smell.

Survival instinct:
In the cave, would it not be really bad to have all the woman having cycles at different times. One thing Your mate may move to another bed and not come back till .
.Well see Total Chaos. Any way I’ve read some stuff on Fem’s cycles and the affect the moons cycles has on them.

P.S. whats the sorry.. I've got a sister, mother, 2 daughters, Toons of fem friends. Part of life ya know. It's also a good thing for us to know about, some of you can get down right SCARY.. Helps to understand why. Then maybe we can help.
Oh the Help..Smell..interesting thing.

Another funny thing:
The smell of spent testosterone in a mans sweat after sex is a menstrual regulator.
Sounds funny but, if your having pain or cramps, or just all off kilter, Play with your man and get a little medicine, helps w/ PMS too " not just a trick to get some at a bad time of the month, I've been involved in seeing it work…cute huh..

I was living in northern California during the 1989 earthquake, which as I recall came right after the full moon, which I think was during a period when the moon was physically closer to the Earth than it had been in a long time. Anyway, I clearly remember having the mother of all cycles during that full moon - as if I could feel the tide in me, with amazing cramps that I'd never had before that and have never had since. Next day was the earthquake, which hit as I was sitting in my office interviewing a couple of clients up in Novato. When the woman began to scream - I don't want to die here, I don't want to die in San Francisco, I remember telling her - don't worry, you're in Novato.

Anyway, I remember wondering if the moon, the earthquake and my exceptionally powerful cycle that month were connected.

well, the moon definately holds a role in us women, it holds a purpose astrologically and also the moon is the feminine, and the YIN (in yin/yang) So, when we become more "yin deficient" it can make for an irregular or irratic period. Blood and Fluids (and water-which the moon rules--just like the oceans) are also very important factors to consider. What kind of supplements do u take?...you can email me if you would like to try chinese herbs, i am an herbalist.

AMEN! and Again I say AMEN

Course I'm going through "the change". Had one in late November, then not another till February, hoping this month would be an "off" month I was sorely and rudely disappointed, came on with a vengence, and early to boot.

I'm not a good subject for this question though. I never had more than 3 a year until Jan of '97 when I got my tubes fried (lazered) and then I got it every month! But for the 8 years or so that it was normal it was more lnked to my co-workers cycles than the Moon, and now it closer to my daughter's cycle

Ok.. I have to ask this one as the last few weeks have been hellacious in regards to my cycle.

The last 2 periods before this month's I've noticed a transition of the moon cycles vs. my own cycle.
Jan. period started a day after the New Moon (Dec.30), Feb. was about 4 days before the Full Moon,
and this month I was to start around the Full Moon but ended up being 10 days late and going through a
hellacious long bout of PMS that I could have done a horrific psychological/thriller film on it!
    I kid you not, everyone!

I take supplements to help balance out the hormones, but this month I ran out a few days short of when
my cycle was to start and was feeling the PMS signs creeping around.. thinking the period was going to
start and it didn't ...so I was SOL and went through one of the longest bouts of PMS in quite sometime.

So what does this have to do with Astrology??
Well being a week late, due around the full moon, and I believe Mercury is ending retro soon.
Could there be THAT possibility that with planets & moon alignment if there was a "shift of sorts"
with this can it affect a women's cycle somehow?

Yes.. of course stress on the body plays a part as well.. I was healing from a relentless cold earlier
in the month and taking some herbal supplements for it.

I've been logging my cycles for many years and find a pattern that my cycles tend to travel through
in a similar manner as the moon cycle.. from New to waxing, full, waning, back to New.. not in that order
and NOT every month. I would definitely have a "whacked cycle" if that was the case.

But I like to further extend a thought out there to women when it come to their own cycle vs.the moon
    cycle.

so hold on.. this could be a informative thread.. much appreciate the thoughts.. ~A~
