Whats does Mars in Sagittarius really mean? Can anyone answer that for me, or is there anyone out there with mars in sag as well?

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, March 25, 2006 - 1:15 AMI have Mars in Sagittarius and Mercury and Jupiter
Do you know what house?
MARS IN SAGITTARIUS
You are aspiring, enterprising,
and forever following some bright
and distant star, planning some new
venture or investigating new
potentials. You are definitely
"upwardly mobile" in either a
material or spiritual sense (or
both). You aim high and are not
content simply with a quiet, secure
existence. You like to stretch your
limits, to see how far you can go,
and to take risks. You are a
positive thinker, expect success
for yourself, and are philosophical
about failures. You are flexible
and bounce back from disappointment
rather quickly, usually with
another hopeful new idea you want
to try. Your enthusiasm and
confidence are contagious and
enable you to enlist the aid and
support you need for your projects.
However, you sometimes promise more
than you can actually achieve, due
to over-optimism or insufficient
attention to the practicalities
involved.
You also tend to get distracted
and to have too many things going
at once. Although it is very
difficult for you, there are times
when you simply must develop
commitment, perseverance, and
persistence in order to make your
dreams and goals a concrete
reality. Too often you fall short
of what you could attain because
you are unwilling to persist
through the difficult or less
exciting times.
You also enjoy competition and
usually do not take it too
seriously. Either sports or
entrepreneurship would be good ways
to channel your energy. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, March 25, 2006 - 7:38 AMHi Keith -
I got Mars in Sag in the third house. To me it represents a need to roam, personal freedom, wide horizons, love of being outside and run around. Sex in nature. Falling in love with strangers, shady characters and travelling gypsies just coming though. Somewhere I read that the first 15* of Sag belong to the 'man' part, and last 15* to the horse part of the centaur. My Mars is at 8*, but I have Saturn at 20* and Mercury at 25*. Guess I love the man as well as the beast, especially those hung like a .....

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, March 25, 2006 - 4:54 PMI love walking. When people offer me a drive to where I want to go, I decline and say I'll walk. The further my destination the better. When I'm sitting still I'm always bouncing my legs. Got to keep those legs moving.
I always wander in different directions, too, and find I never get to the place where I want to go, and this just doesn't include walking. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, March 25, 2006 - 10:07 PMMars in sag: incarnated for fun. Have a sense of humor like a 9 year old boy, four clown wigs just to play in, big buck teeth, and a lot of power in my thighs, even when I'm laid low with exhaustion, cuz I'm doing way too many things and forgetting to eat. favorite foods (besides pastrys and cookies and candy, libra sun and taurus asc): apples and carrots and lamb chops.
Great big laffs, HUGE sense of humor, except those horrible times when it gets misplaced. When I write, I have to edit out superflously exaggerated adjectives.
Prone to foot in mouth disease.
Life long interest in religion and things spiritual. At one point I was very interested in analysing Jesus's and Buddha's mistakes, mostly for fun....miserable when I contemplate my own sins, but I do it anyway. Some of the people I love really don't like me much...those are the sins I contemplate and mourn.
I know I'm lucky. I still wear size eight.
mars in sag, in the seventh house, means the sweetest times in my 26 year realtionship are when we travel, for me, at any rate. Like Jupiter, I am not monogamous, but I don't deceive; I usually give a three month warning. My mars is trine pluto, so even tho things can get out of hand, all is forgiven, that plus he's an aquarius. (It's a very sibling=like marriage, and plutonic/chironic and our suns are spot on trine, ok, ten minutes off exact.) -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Mon, March 27, 2006 - 10:46 AMHi. I've got Mars conjunct Sun in Sag.....
adding to what everyone has said, I'd also say this: Mars rules your passions; what makes you feel alive, what lights you up on fire, and what you most desire. Considering this, Mars in Sag people tend to be passionate about fiery things, people and places. Vivid colors, sharp, well honed, clear vibrant things. Things that push boundaries, like cutting edge art, music, people, etc. Experiences that combust with passion and goodness, life and spirit. Things that are expansive, new, adventurous, and probably nurture the mind in some way as well. Mars and sag will make a person who probably prefers some blend of wild physicality and spirituality, is driven towards lots of new situations and encounters. Mars in Sag people tend to really have that Sag wandering eye and be attracted to a diverse palette of people, and seem to particularly love fire venus and air venus people. Obviously this inclination towards diversity and newness leads to major jones for travel, and all the other classic Sagittarian traits.....
hope this helps a bit....

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Fri, October 5, 2007 - 3:09 AMTrue
I too have Mars conjunct sun in sag 1st degree along with neptune and mercury 13th degree..
Mars in sagittarius can also represent an over emphasis of mar qualities. it can translate as too much aggression, too impatient, too blunt / rude, love of arguement and fighting weather in sport or for real,
and as far as it being in sagittarus is concerned can aslo be to fanatic, risky, daredevil what ever happens attitude. I think the Mars in sag conjunct sun gives a serious aries tone to the personality coloured by sagittarius. id like to know what u think... -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 7:45 AMI have mars sag in a stellium and parallel to several planetsd within the stellium-its suppose to be a good placement for sag although it is not dignified or anything. I couldn't really give you a personal account of a good description because of the modification in my chart.
As for Sag.mars goes , I tend to think that it sees both the trees and the forest .
PJV-
Mars parallels my sun doesn't work that way for me as much but saturn is in the mix too so I hesitate some.
I do see a lot of people with mars/ sun conjunctions and they tend to be very open and straight forward -and can still show a little sensitivity, if not at least tact. I tend to think a mars sag is competive in a self motivation and positive way it is ultimately to get a point across rather than showiness yet that is not always the case either.
In certain sports, it is a good thing to be competive and sag is a mature sign so it can get past any tantrums even if it takes disipline or maturing. Sag learns and articulate what has been learned .

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 8:41 AMI have Mars , Neptune and NN in Sag. Also Sun/Moon midpoint. Follow through is hard for me....I tend to get distracted by many things and I am a great starter but not so great finisher.
I do have a need for personal freedom (venus in aqu too)...but I am a one guy gal. I just need lots of other friends and outlets.

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 1:57 PMI've got a Mars/Venus conjunction in the first house in Sagittarius. A friend of mine once complained that I'm not interested in anything that doesn't start with the letter P. The list, in no particular order: poetry, poker, pigskin, pussy. I like to think I'm more versatile than that. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 2:53 PMmy natal mars is in sag/3H with aspects to asc, neptune, moon, chiron, & saturn. so it's hard for me to interpret mars in a vacuum.
i gues i would say mars in sag is energetic, got to keep moving, enthusiastic, optimistic, & could be a little bit of a wanderlust.
peace,
natty

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 2:54 PMmars cnj sun in any sign can be a bit punchy, but in sag it seems there would be more exhuberence than just about any other sign except perhaps aries. -

Tue, October 9, 2007 - 8:45 PM"mars cnj sun in any sign can be a bit punchy, but in sag it seems there would be more exhuberence than just about any other sign except perhaps aries."
it can definitely indicate energy, and athletics. but you can't forget the house placement. i have a friend who has sun, mars and mercury conjunct in sag in the 7th. He is definitely into sports and any activity, but he's not competitive and he's very easy going, considering other people's needs over his own all the time. much different than if the stellium was in say the 1st house. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Thu, October 11, 2007 - 2:15 AMInteresting,, the chart you have mentioned is similar to mine.
Sun conjunct mars Sagittarius (scorpio cusp) in the 7th but conjunct the 8th (sun and mars same exact degree) but it conjunct Mercury and Neptune in the 8th House And they are on the same degree conjunction also.
But conjunct the 7th house cusp by one degree is Uranus in scorpio in the 7th... I do have a combative streak, but a reasonable one..
How would you interpret such a configuration?

may be some possible similarities i may learn from etc...
i have sun mars uranus in 7th...
are you uranus scorpio or unanus sagittarius generation?

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 5:41 PMI am a Saggi with a mars influence. I have a very bad temper, I am rude and blunt most times, extremely courageous, fearless, sexually too active, romantic, very ambitious and very partriotic.I should have been in the army. I am very violent if I get angry, I can take anyone on. I can take on people double my size. I love women and sex btw. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 12:06 AMmars in sagittarius needs a physical outlet - as in exercise. snow boarding, dirt bike riding, sky diving - anything adventurous and daring. i have a very good friend with mars in sag and unless he is exercising someway somehow, he is a total moody pain in the ass. once he gets his blood moving, he is all fun and games. very funny, witty, flirty. but watch it if they stagnate. -

Re: Mars in Sagittarius
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 6:38 AM11th house opposite Uranus. Yes, I relate to 90% plus of the replies to this topic.
Desire for physical out let work and play is constant for me. I get stronger, more alert, friendlier by my moving, pulling, climbing, cutting, throwing, rolling, walking, running, swimming .... hours at a time at a pace so I don't wipe out.
An hour workout lifting weights --- dud. Aerobics, dance, yoga, circuit training, jogging work best for me.
Mars helps me burn calories? metabolism?
Uranus-- it adds a bit danger, eccentricity, unusual... experience. My first visit to New York City I went out for a 12 hour walk -- where I acted out a close Mr. Magoo. :-)
