When I think about intensity in astrology sign, I think of Scorpio of course, Aries, Leo, Taurus and sometimes Cancer. But Capricorn natives? Are Capricorn really intense and passionate? I can see the whole passionate nature on a business or professional level but what about emotionally with loved ones? Or are all astrology signs intense in their own special way? Cap sun, moon, rising, or stellium natives, Capricorn experts, astrologers, astrology skeptics, and everyone else I have not mentioned in this post are welcome to speak their mind about this issue.

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 11:38 AMI'm a capricorn sun with a scorpio rising and a moon in pisces and many people have told me that i'm a very intense person, usually they comment about my eyes as being deep, piercing and intense and my face to have a very mean, intense look; which usually keeps unwanted people away from me. As far a passionate, my guy has to show me passion first, if not, to me he's not interested. The guys who i usually hook-up with, we usually feel an 'intense' vibe, bond(or whatever) between us. In my work i am very determined and many may say "INTENSE", i've been called a workaholic numerous times. Guess it depends on the person because there is a very, wide range of capricorns because we'er so complex and as some have said we're 'hard to understsnd, think you know us then BAM!! we supposedly change and people have to 'try' to start from the beginning and learn us.
Guess it's a CAP thing!!

Thu, July 27, 2006 - 11:44 AMThe two most passionate men I have ever dated are Capricorns. Not sure what else they had in the mix, but wouldn't be surprised if it was a bit of Scorpio.
My youngest son is a triple cap and he is as intense as a kid can be. He really is like a little adult in many ways. Although this isn't a sexually passionate intense, he is indeed very focused.

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 5:14 PM"Christina the Great"..LOL ok sure why not...
In my opinion if you see intesity in a Cancer it comes from somewere else in the Chart.
Scorpio Sun- by defintion YES.
Aries Sun- Sure can, but it's more just raw energy.
Taurus- Fixed and unmoveabe sign. The energy can seem very intence if your are interacing w/ and want it to ajust, though again Intensty, somewere else in the Chart.
Cap. Like taurus in it's stuborness but.. Hummm how do I put this. Control isn't really even the right term. I like the joke- Capricorn is Scorpio in a suit. In the buisness of construction you find alot of them, They are stuborn workers. Not an Intence fast pace but, by the end of the day they have done their share or more. My way of (directing or just answering question) to others, and NOT just handing out orders works well w the Caps. I can see when another is trying to be the controler w/ a Cap they don't get very far.
So in a nut shell I think intensity you feel "From" Aries, Scorpio. Intencty is what "You" feel because of Cap. and Leo. One of the guys I work w/ now is a Cap Aqu Cusp..Interesting guy he is. -

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Thu, July 27, 2006 - 8:44 PMok, wait. how are we defining intense anyway, and how are we judging?
generally speaking, i think the "older" the sign the more intensity. to me there is an implication of depth that comes with intensity. depth and and a kind of tenacity.
but then, i think maybe each sign has its own intensity.
here. i'll poke at it a little from my incomplete perspective....
aries drive
taurus sensuality
gemini word spinners
cancer - i'm not sure how to say it in a positive or nuetral light but "it" is intense....
leo grandiose
libra judgement process
scorpio dining on emotion and change
sagitarius philosphy and socializing (of a variety)
capricorn (i know them the least) boss and expert
aquarius out there
pisces emotion, metaphysics, and whatever they are deciding to be intense about at the moment
but it does still seem to me that the intensity gets more intense the older the sign.
but then im a pisces. i would say that. -

I like that Arize, but grandiose things intimidate me. Maybe my Taurus moon. I feel more like the cowardly lion anymore-here lately. ha. And I feel ya all on the Cancer intensity. Cancer has a quiet, subdued intensity about them. Penetrating gaze and insight into things sometimes. -

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 7:04 AMI have Sun Mars and Mercury in Capricorn (Sun and Mars in the 1st house). Very passionate and intense about anything and everything that matters to me. Capricorn is noted for ambition, but I think ambition is just a form of hunger (hunger for prestige and position). Capricorn-to me at least-is a sign of driving (sometimes ravening!) hunger and intense focus in general. Ambition is one manifestation (maybe a very common one), but not the only possible one. -

Fri, July 28, 2006 - 9:50 AMi've been intimately involved with more cap sun women than i can recount, but one of my oldest friends (36 yrs) is a triple cap (sun/moon/rising). i've watched her become much more playful as she's aged, but if i were trying to put her in a nutshell, i'd say that she takes herself very seriously. she's not as easily offended as she once was, but whenever she does take offense, it's time to clear the house.
she also has an uncanny ability to transform any creative effort into money. -

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 11:00 AMI've had several Cap sun friends (one of the best has a Leo moon and that Leo almost shines more brightly) and, while they have all fit the responsible, measured, somewhat methodical, ambitious stereotype, it has only been to a degree, more like the tip of the iceburg. I've actually noticed Capricorn qualities ten times more in people I know with Capricorn moons. My mother is a Taurus sun/ Capricorn moon and I a former roommate a Gemini sun/ Capricorn moon.
My mother is THE most stable, rational, logical, down to earth, smart, calm, hardworking, industrious woman I have ever met in my life. (She has a grand earth trine to help this out.) Her biggest fears revolve around material security. She is amazing with time and money management and keeps an exceptionally cool head no matter what crisis is blowing up in her face. The only conflict we ever have comes from the fact that she is just not as emotional as me, and can't match my level of intensity emotionally. I would say my Scorpio/ Aries combination is much more intense emotionally, but she is much more intense in a cool, rational way. She has a small business and is an amazingly adept business woman and boss--very intense in this way, but more in a way of gravity or seriousness, while others are yammering on about the latest gossip. On a negative, she tends to have a lot of anxiety--a Cap moon trait (but not exclusively, I have anxiety too).
My ex-roommate's Gemini sun was basically usurped by her industrious Capricorn moon. She's probably one of the most serious, again I'll use the word grave, person I've ever met. She did nothing but think about being productive. Even her play (she seemed to have a compulsion to cook) was like work for her. She barely slept. Just work, achieve, work. Not a typical chatty Gemini. Even more severely than my mother, she came across as emotionally cold, very difficult for her to make friends. A lot of people interpreted her as harsh and unfriendly--not a friendly Gemini. Again, intense in the industrious, serious way. High, high levels of anxiety. Though she seemed cold, you could sense that there was a fairly deep and strong emotional foundation, and a very loyal nature.
I think of the Capricorn moon as having an emotional nature like a rock--not firey or easily roused but strong, stable, immovable, and always there to be counted on. (I know my mother loves me more than anything and would do absolutely anything for me--she's just more stoic. I also know my former roommate is someone I could always count on, even if she doesn't seem very friendly. That emotional solidity is a certain kind of intensity.)

Fri, July 28, 2006 - 7:01 PMYa.. ok... using the small army Thing I like to use. Aries would be the point man.. Leading the groupe.
I think the Cap would be near the back carrying the heavy equipment. very Practical, but at the same time, a certain determination toward the goal..
Steve- this makes sence. Sort of like Saturn it Planet. Starts out Very Serious, but after time lightens up.After all the practicallities are intact. Now it can relax and enjoy an Aqu, Pisces king of way of being. I see Cap as the Accountant.. You can have all kinds of creative Ideas but w/o the Cap energy it will not be able actually come to reality..
yes..Cap, Determination. and better have all the numbers right, dam it.

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Fri, November 3, 2006 - 10:09 AMYes I would say this is true. I have a Capricorn 12th house Mars.. so.. kinda sucks really but I am gonna learn to deal with it.
I have a bad temper.. so I am trying not to "stuff" things and respond with how I feel about situations and try and let my anger out a little at a time.. Mars represents anger. When it is in the 12th house like mine I think it is hidden so.. emotional..
On top of all of that my Mars squares my Sun and Mercury, Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter in my 8th house.
The one I wanted to point out now mostly is the Mars to Mercury square which makes it difficult for me to communicate verbally to strangers in person.
Please seasoned astrologers correct me if I am wrong here with these observations. -
-
Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Sat, November 4, 2006 - 3:34 PMDanjo
Mars in the 12th House does not indicate a bad temper, however, that Mars squaring Sun and Mercury, Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter in your 8th house is another story. Mars acts more like a fuse, rather than the bomb itself; that bomb is ticking away in your 8th house.
My assessment of what may be necessary to defuse your 8th house bomb is gaining more wisdom about what constitutes meaningful change in your life. Stagnation, inertia and apathy can act like the wrong kind of fertilizer here and add fuel to your deeply volatile nature.
Undergoing *meaningful change* amounts to taking more seriously what you need to accomplish in order to evolve and grow. The key word here is *accomplish* as your Mars is in the sign of Capricorn. Sometimes "to grow" can mean "to outgrow". If you remain too long in situations and relationships that stunt your growth or that you have clearly outgrown, then the mounting pressures of this stagnation can turn explosive and even violent.
You must ask yourself what your evolutionary needs are: what is necessary for meaningful change in your life ? I say *meaningful* because not all change is significant.
Good luck! -

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Sun, November 5, 2006 - 7:05 AMHi Sherpa,
I am very grateful for your advice.
There is one bright side to those initial aspects I gave. I have Mars (4 cap) trine Venus (5 virgo) in my 8th ( I have a wide 8th almost 1 and 1/2 signs) And Mars is also trine Moon (0 Taurus) and trine Saturn (7 Taurus)..
I like how you help me understand the Mars is the fuse but the real bomb is my 6 planets in my 8th house.
I would like to learn more about that some time. Does it make me Scorpio like in nature? Scorpio is the natural ruler of the 8th house.
I will study the 3 key words you gave me. Stagnation, inertia and apathy, I will look up their definitions online now.

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Tue, November 21, 2006 - 5:06 PMThere are quite a few people who aren't, truth be told, My Sun is Capricorn and My Moon is Cancer, But first, with all Caps you're gonna get a few traits that are exclusive to what we (The Mountain Goats) represent, No matter what sign we're "cut with" We are EXTREMELY driven like you wouldn't believe, Once we've set a goal we will go to our grave trying to achieve it. Slowly but SURELY Mountain Goats will climb to the Top! Intense concentration, No-one has a sense of humour like a Capricorn, but we can be really "serious" at times and hate to be the "butt" of any joke. The Cancer in me make's me really sensitive to the needs of others, and I generally want to help anybody I can. Have a general dis-like for any type of human suffering. I cry at sad movies, cry when I hear a sad story, etc... can be very emotional at times...I'm a nurturer at heart and genuinely CARE about other people's feelings. We struggle internally because we're actually built to be in a relationship, but we kinda feel we're at our best when we stand alone. Home-bodies at heart, Capricorns spend a lot of time alone, yes we are work-a-holics but that's because once we've set our sights on achieving a goal, nobody or nothing else takes precedence over succeeding and accomplishing that goal. I've always felt that no matter what I did I had to be THE BEST and was always very VOCAL about it, which many can take as arrogance, I personally don't care. If I'm the very best at what I do? who need's humility? lol This doesn't always sit well with people, but agin, who cares, Prove me wrong, if not shut the hell up! haha We're very strong-willed and not to be taken as "push-overs" unless a Capricorn is "cut" with Pisces or something, lol Just kidding..But if a Capricorn feel's backed into a corner you better look the hell out, all bets are off if you try to screw around with us like that. Forget what you may have heard or thought, 'Hell hath no fury like a Capricorn being messed with' lol...We are also very EXPRESSIVE, but yes I have met a few Capricorns who were "cold, un-emotional, detached", etc...BUT their Moon was Capricorn, not their Sun, I've never met a Sun Capricorn who is how we're always described. Anyways, I hope this site turn's out to be cool, if so I'll definitely stick around and share insights with my Capricorn family, for now, I leave you with some of the Greatest Capricorns of All Time!

Tue, August 1, 2006 - 3:57 PMUm, I dunno why my response to sherpa ended up there instead of below his message.
Christina the Grrreat,
YMMV. I know lots of people that I would probably label "intense" but I find that some are intense in social ways, some are intense in intellectual ways, some are intense physically.... perhaps I see intense as more of an adverb than an adjective, and that's my problem.
I guess for me I think about half, maybe more, of the people I know could be called intense, in my book. And sign-wise, they're all over the place.

Re: Intense Capricorn people (sun, moon and/or rising sign)
Tue, August 1, 2006 - 3:59 PMthat would depend entirely on the noun (or sign, lol) it's attached to. -

Intense
Tue, August 1, 2006 - 4:26 PMin-tense, in·tens·er, in·tens·est
1. Possessing or displaying a distinctive feature to an extreme degree: the intense sun of the tropics.
2. Extreme in degree, strength, or size: intense heat.
3. Involving or showing strain or extreme effort: intense concentration.
4. Deeply felt; profound: intense emotion.
5. Tending to feel deeply: an intense writer.
[Middle English, from Old French, from Latin intnsus, stretched, intent, from past participle of intendere, to stretch, intend; see intend.]
in·tensely adv.
in·tenseness n.
Synonyms: intense, fierce, vehement, violent
These adjectives mean of an extreme kind: intense fear; fierce pride; vehement dislike; violent rage.
Usage Note: The meanings of intense and intensive overlap considerably, but they are often subtly distinct. When used to describe human feeling or activity, intense often suggests a strength or concentration that arises from inner dispositions and is particularly appropriate for describing emotional states: intense pleasure, intense dislike, intense loyalty, and so forth. Intensive is more frequently applied when the strength or concentration of an activity is imposed from without: intensive bombing, intensive training, intensive marketing. Thus a reference to Mark's intense study of German suggests that Mark himself was responsible for the concentrated activity, whereas Mark's intensive study of German suggests that the program in which Mark was studying was designed to cover a great deal of material in a brief period.
