I think that due to the loyal nature of Scorpions, we all are naturally attracted to them and tend to appreciate that. It is, after all, what most of us are after- the long haul.

And I TOTALLY AGREE with the fact that they won't put up with anything weird. That's what gives them that ability to discipline the kids! And thank heavens for that!

I have noticed and I am generalizing, that scorpio men get along with most any sign for the long haul unless the other gets weird about things rather than just naturally becoming more weird. They deal with the weird, sick and bloated but throw in the bullshit and you are out.

doh! that would be Scorpio (which does not form any opposition to her Sun). our composite chart, however, is pure liquid dynamite and that's where all the fireworks are best symbolized between us. it's pretty awesome, really and it's taken years of trial and error experimentation to learn how live with and benefit from the intensity. one way we channel these forces is through Art; among other talents, she composes musical soundtracks for my films (besides creating and producing her own music CDs).

meh -- typical is --like the words "ordinary" or "normal" -- pretty subjective. but basically i disagree with yo. in the three decades i have been reading charts, i have seen more successful relationships formed by couples who share quincunx Suns, especially the Scorp/Gemini combo. it's not an easy thing but who's the idiot that said love should always be easy ?

if only the Scorp/Gem dynamic were as simplisitc as "shallow vs. depth"; that's more like the opposition 180 degree aspect. the 150 degree quincunx expresses an eliptical angle disallowing any kind of head-on face-offs that the oppositon aspect favors. the quincunx energy conveys a more indirect process of continual adjustment.

at first this dynamic between quincunx Sun signs can act out in a kind of hit-or-miss frustration process until both parties figure out who needs to lead in the dance for the music of love to keep playing. in the Scorp/Gem dance, Gem leads. Why ? How ? If you put Gemini on the ASC as the "leader", Scorpio serves (rules the 6th House). If you put SCORP on the ASC, GEM rules the 8th House; Gem is death to Scorp or, Gem acts as the catalyst and Scorp, the catalyzed.

in daily mundane and domestic terms, when i (as the Scorp Sun) learns to let her (as Gem Sun) have her way more often than me, then the quincunx serves us both. if the Scorp resists surrender, he just becomes a frustrated scorpion; not a pretty picture. hahaha

i can see where you're going with this, but what I think Sherpa is saying is that sometimes there's more to "it" than planet matches and star signs, no? I was always under the impression Astrology is method of indicating, not answering. But what you're saying, however, is pretty sensible to me otherwise. My Venus is in Aries and sexually, I like people who know the difference between aggressive pursuit and overt socio-sexual domination. I like to be f*cking "courted" and these days, people are either afraid to talk to you or they do only when they prop themselves up on bad pick-up lines and liquor. My moon is in Libra and I've always been most comfortable around, not Libras per se, but those with typical Libran outward qualities like exceptional social grace, a pretty face, peaceful aura and a damn good dresser. My 7th house says for the long term, I need a Cappy. Wierd thing is, I haven't known many Cappys, but the ones I have I can't stand.

My bf's Moon is in Cancer, Venus in Aries (in an inner planet stellium, no less) and 7th house Taurus. I'm a Taurus Sun so...best 2 out of 3 I guess. :-)

her first house is ARIES with some Taurus. Gemini is in her 2nd ad 3rd House where she has four planets in Gemini (my way of saying "triple Gemini", rather than the traditional Sun/Moon/Rising triplet idea). by the way, my ninith house cusp is not gemini but cancer. again, so much of life's fluidity fails to fit neatly into measured astrological cubicles.
