I have Saturn squaring my natal Jupiter until July! I have immediately began to feel its restricting effects within my current job. I am usually a very optimistic person and I want to keep perspective but I am feeling the frustrations that come along with this transit loud and clear! I was curious if anyone else has or is dealing with this transit and what they did to keep positive and work with it instead of against it? I am a very ambitions optimistic person...Im not scared of the hard work but I like to feel rewarded or acknowledged when my efforts are being made. Anyone have any advice on what I need to survive with my sanity intact until july?

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 12:00 PMguess saturn is just controlling me for awhile...cause its also squaring my Venus until august....I am really actually very nervous about all this!

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 12:08 PMSo both Saturn and Pluto are squaring Jupiter, right? That does sound intense. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 12:39 PMAnd "cause its also squaring my Venus until august....I am really actually very nervous about all this! "
I can see how you would be since it looks like more fun than you ought to have. But, as sappy as this sounds, the first line of "defense" is not to freak yourself out too much. You can only take one thing at a time. You haven't exactly said in what way these aspects are manifesting themselves. Perhaps if you start defining the challenges you are experiencing, you can begin crafting some strategies. Doing that from a relatively calm state of mind is important, so do what you have to now to chill out enough to do that. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 12:53 PMi37.tinypic.com/52e2dy.gif It makes it easier if you post your chart somehow. In other forums (such as ones on other websites), we often place links to charts were are analyzing.
I always go to Robert Hand (“Planets in Transit”) first when examining transits…
Besides Saturn, you also have difficult Pluto transits right now (Pluto sq Pluto, opposite Venus and conjunct Jupiter)… it seems your personal relationships and value systems are what is being challenged.
Saturn will be transiting your 11th house, so this is the house that is to be tested most, while the planets it aspects are the energies that are being tested also and deal with behavioral problems that you need to deal with. Saturn transits can feel out of control, but it is usually more to do with how your conscious mind deals with challenges vs. the actual external forces working against you. This is because Saturn challenges how you view and experience the world.
Transiting Saturn will square your Jupiter and Venus, sextile Neptune, and conjunct Pluto. The conjunction to Pluto is likely to be the most influential aspect during this time. Saturn in the 11th isn’t a low point usually because Saturn just got out of your 10th, which is the highest point in the chart for Saturn and a time of achievement, unless other factors stopped that from happening. Saturn in the 11th is in your house of hopes and wishes and friendship, so it is often a time to achieve some of the things that you have always wanted, but it forces you to get along with others, even if you are the type of person who likes to work more on your own. As always, you have to prepare for Saturn transits or else you are less likely to reap any rewards. With Saturn squaring your Venus, it will especially be difficult for you relate to other people and feel that they are seeing your point of view, and you may get rid of old relationships that you find are not what is right for you or you have outgrown. I hope that it doesn’t make you withdraw from others, because you are likely to feel more alone and long to be in a relationship even though at the same time you need to maintain your autonomy. The Jupiter square may be challenging to your career and money, but it is also important because it will force you to distinguish between what is important and what is superficial and unnecessary in your life. You may change your job, residence, or break up with someone, but you have to think carefully about whether or not these changes are right or if they are just the affects of Jupiter making you act impulsively and reacting against freedom limitations. It’s best not to quit a job or do other risky things until after the transit is over. Don’t run away from any problems, or they will only haunt you during later Saturn transits. The sextile to Neptune will make you be more introspective about your life to deal with the limitations that Saturn is imposing by reaching out to spiritual causes, and by seeing the world in a less materialistic light. Even if you aren’t appreciated outwardly, you should feel inside that you are doing what is right. The conjunction to Pluto again says that you are going through some sort of evolutionary period and getting rid of old habits that need to be gotten rid of anyway. The bad part is that you may go through financial, health or accident scares that are meant to focus your energies in preparation for Saturn transiting your 12th house, which will be a time to clean house and begin the Saturn transits all over in the 1st. If your energies are less scattered, you are less likely to deal with these types of issues. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 1:22 PMTeresa ~ These days, it seems like a touchy thing to even suggest posting a chart. Seems to me you said it didn't matter....Perhaps it does after all.
I would just like to add a wee bit to what you said, which is really good stuff, as usual, btw, that it could also be that T Saturn in the11th House forming these aspects might bring about an elevation of awareness of issues affecting the collective, suggesting some sense of urgency in attuning to and acting on those issues when they might not have seemed so pressing in the past. I may be saying no more than what you intended by saying "The sextile to Neptune will make you be more introspective about your life to deal with the limitations that Saturn is imposing by reaching out to spiritual causes, and by seeing the world in a less materialistic light;" but what I want to highlight is the potential ~ perhaps the imperative ~ to be more than just introspective and instead to actually become engaged in some way in an activity or enterprise that concerns issues pertaining to the collective rather than to just one's self. There is something about this that looks to me to be about "seriousing up" on far-reaching matters, perhaps as a kind of ingress into the Neptunian spiritual dimension ~ that through some sort of engagement the introspection occurs rather than the other way around. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 1:29 PMAnd it can be important for other reasons as well, such as spotting a person's attitudes when interpreting your own aspects uninvited in an argument. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 1:37 PMI don't know all of the circumstances surrounding what went down with you and that other person, but I have known a professional astrologer online for many years who will not give out his birth chart either because he feels it gives away too much of his personality and he is a private person. I have respected his wish not to bother him about it (though, I am pretty sure I have his chart figured out via clues he's given here and there). People with a lot of Capricorn influences in particular don't like to share their info on public forums. It can be annoying to people like us who are more open and honest about ourselves. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 1:41 PMMy point was and is that if you are going to make uninvited astrological assessments of another person for whatever purpose, it is rather poor form not to allow the other person an opportunity to see where you are coming from, especially since you opened the door. (Not "you" personally, of course.)
And the only circumstances surrounding the situation as far as I am concerned is what is on the karma thread. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 2:02 PMI likewise would like to move along. I did not intend to have this devolve into a quibble, but I do think that the matter of posting charts is not trivial, especially when "signism" or "aspectism" comes into play in a discussion. It is one of the main things here that led to "interesting times." Zayne may as well know now that is not really a favored approach on this tribe.
But I, too, would like to return to the topic of the thread and see what the OP and others think of these aspects and transits.

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Sat, November 28, 2009 - 9:34 AMthe thing you said that effected me the most was when you were talking about saturn and pluto and health issues. I actually have reactive arthritis right now and it is definiting "RESTRICTING" my movement. I have been trying to stay as positive and focused as possible but at times the pain is unbearable and it effects my drive. You said it is preparing me for saturn through the 12th but honestly I am hoping I can move past this health issue because isnt the 12th house also govern hospitals? That is something I pray does not happen. -

Sat, November 28, 2009 - 9:54 AMArthritis? Any hard aspects between Mars and Saturnin your transiting chart? -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Sat, November 28, 2009 - 11:44 AMmar has an applying aspect to saturn right now but I think it has something to do with my neptune opposing my mars...it states Transiting Neptune is opposite your natal Mars. This is likely to be a discouraging time for you. You are likely to feel lethargic and lacking in drive and initiative. Others are likely to misunderstand your actions or intentions, which could be a source of embarassment or lead to them opposing your efforts without your understanding the cause. Physically you are more prone to infections and disease than usual. You may be prone to scatter your energies instead of concentrating them effectively. A lack of self confidence and feelings of impotence are common.

After awhile saturn gets around to delving into every detail, eh.

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 6:52 PMWow, I checked the last time I had a Saturn-trans square Jupiter, I decided to quit my job! And a month later after the transit I got a call for another job, & the company I left tanked the next year. Advice: Saturn restructures your life & clears out what you don't need. So go with the flow.
I'm in the midst of a Saturn-trans conjunct Pluto now. The last time this happened, I was 9 years old & started a new school in a new neighborhood & started a new life. But I got into many fights & trouble. Saturn conjunct Pluto = Power. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 8:30 PMI'm going through a Saturn return and Saturn is beginning its climb onto the zenith on my chart, and I think I'm ready now.
It's going through the 8th house of debts and transformations and others' money. I have got an arts grant, and working divorce monies out with my ex husband and at the same time I'm working out the money I owe to my father for my college education and also the taxman and getting my insurance plans reinstated again. It feels very refreshing, rewarding even, to get these things out of the way. It's currently sitting on my North Node and I think it's helped me get a lot of things done.
Saturn will be transiting over the midpoints between the stelliums in Libra and Scorpio as it hits my zenith.
In view of the big picture, I think I'm ready to take on the challenges. The kind of clients that I'm seeing on a regular basis is changing, and so are my attitudes to work and others' money.
I have experienced a handful of rewards during my Saturn return in the 7th house. I was married, but divorced now and I have never been happier living and working with my new man (although working with him can be a bit of a pain!). I think my views of how my business relationships should be managed is also changing. I am showing greater commitment to sustaining my business relationships and not only when my clients have work for me.
So don't be scared of Saturn, just go with it.
Like Milo, I'm looking forward to Saturn to come into conjunction with my Sun-Pluto-Mercury stellium. But I will put that energy into good use of course, only I don't know what yet!

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:08 PMI also figured that your feeling out of control can be attributed to the Libra stellium making a sweep through your 12th house and riding over your natal Uranus which tends to disruptive. I have seen a few 12th house Uranus placements myself and I have found such natives to be very psychic and intuitive, they are able to see things and often in flashes. However if the energy is not channelled properly they can experience mental disruptions in the form of negative thoughts that if they spiral out of control, can become destructive.
Saturn in this instance is in your 11th house and in conjunction with Pluto. I think you should use this energy to transform the way you look at organisations or at people and also review your own hopes and wishes. The Saturn and Pluto conjunction translates into a lot of power that needs a positive outlet. Some people with Saturn in 11th house tend to be afraid of crowds or anti-social, perhaps you could use this transit to come out of the closet and be accepting of people and organisations.
The square with Jupiter can indicate that perhaps the current working environment doesn't let you spread your wings. Jupiter wants you to expand but Saturn can be restrictive. I think you have to really think about how you can work your way around it or through it.
My advise would be: make a decision about what you want to do with these transits before the transits make a decision for you. And the latter is not usually pleasant! -

Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:34 PM
lots of interesting things going on with the saturn ingress into libra coming up on the Aquarius papers. Anyone else read this?
www.aquariuspapers.com/astrol...09.html
Things set into motion then will fulfill their process between November 2009 and August 2010, when the last waning square is made. From Summer 2010 on, Saturn will make no more frictional aspects to Pluto until late 2014. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 11:40 PMAudrey ~
I read this and two other articles from your link, and it was very interesting. I was particularly intrigued by the idea of Mars focusing all these energies, which is something that I have been experiencing strongly as it forms certain potent aspects in my chart that bring this to my awareness.
Thanks!

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:42 PMI'm about to go into Saturn square Mercury, Venus, Sun and Neptune while Pluto is opposite my Sun and about to go accross Venus. Well, I'm supposedly already in the thick of it, but astro.com's orbs can be wide.
I'm actually looking forward to it. Saturn seems like a good tool, and it has killed my bank account/sometimes my sanity while transiting through the 2nd, but it's so easy for me to make stronger financial decisions now, even those as simple as buying a new shirt. I just don't judge myself by what I wear/have as much anymore, and I spend more money on things like music and experiences. I'm babbling here, but my point is that I wouldn't freak out. And if you've survived all that Pluto, you'll be okay with Saturn I'm guessing. Patience and surrender, as usual it seems.
And also, when I dwell on one planet's effects, I often realize that if I look at progressions or my solar return I get more information about what's really going on. Did you check those out for some more clues as to how to deal or maybe a bigger picture of what's going on? With my latest Pluto opp. Sun leg, for example, I decided to surrender to authority and do what they asked of me so that I could learn something. And then I looked at my solar return and my SR sun is in the 6th house (whole sign, which seemed more accurate with my SR), so that makes sense for me. So looking at your other charts could help. -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:47 PMUranus in 2nd house can also have the 'kill the bank account' effect. -
-
Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:50 PMYeah I have Uranus in 2nd for my SR lol. Three months after my bday I got laid off. But of course I've become more rebellious-I refuse to do anything I don't enjoy for money. I came to realize that everything that I don't like eventually fails/is taken away or I run away. So much of it is just finding creative ways to make money. And that might be better in this economy. The more "tried and true" ways aren't working as well. People taking control of themselves and also freelancing is a better bet, if scary.

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Thu, October 22, 2009 - 1:47 PMyiikes, sonah. i wish my issues were more material. i never try in that area of my life, things just always work out, and i live off VERY LITTLE, most people probably couldn't survive the way i do. I sneak into movies, I have food stamps and prefer cooking to eating out, everyone gives you free coffee all the time, and i love art and music as entertainment and those things are usually free because i am more inclined to go to a house show or local armature diy gallery. my issues are all relationship/group issues. I have sun opp saturn, pluto conjunct neptune, pluto square sun, saturn square neptune! fucking a. I dont know if thats what i am feeling, maybe? from what ive read ..after these crazy transits...things will mellow out, in like 2 years? then i have a few positive jupiter transits and the daring uranus conjunct sun, which i should be looking forward to.
are there any positive transits yet to come after this mess sonah? -

Re: Need advice on dealing with a Saturn Transit!
Sat, November 28, 2009 - 9:47 AMwell thank you all for your insight...saturn is definitly in the restriciting mode but I think its because it truly is restructuring me. I am truly just going with the flow and when things pop up and stop me I breath deep and hope it passes soon. I have reactive arthritis and it all came about around the beginning of all this. I am hoping as soon as some of these transits let up I will be more free to move about. I am a very spontaneous free flowing person and I think Saturn is trying to organize me in order to help make the things I want in life to come true. I know Saturn is a blessing in disguise i think over all my physical health is what has made all of it less tolerable. I am also having issues with my current relationship because she is admitting being an alcoholic. We are really good together but her issues can get in the way at times. I am trying my best to allow her to go through what she needs without being constricting and limiting and being supportive. I am just hoping that It comes across as being supportive and not clinging to something that isnt meant to be and then saturn squaring my venus creates it so we break up...ultimately I do not wish for that being we really are good together. I want to see her through this and move past it...but we all know when someone has an addiction they are the ones who have to want to get better and make the changes truly we have no control over the matter no do we have any say. That is why I think we may not make it...because she needs to be strong on her own to get through it.
