Mars in 12th

topic posted Sat, May 3, 2008 - 7:09 PM by  jacqueline
Hi all,

Mars entered my 12th house a week ago. I'm not sure quite what I'm feeling (how 12th house) other than a want for a very quiet period. But then again, I'm not new to solitary yearnings.

Then again, I notice that I feel Mars transits quite strongly, like the moon's transits because my moon is in aries, in 8th house. My natal mars is in libra 2nd house and mars rules my 9th..

Is any one going through this transit? Would any 12th house mars natives like to share their experiences?

Transiting Mars in the 12th house is not easily equated with those who have Mars natally there.

Watch how you start your projects, initiate contacts with others, etc. The 12th house transit will assist you in seeing motivations from your more unconscious nature. With your Moon ruled by Mars, it will be easier for you to understand those hidden emotions than others.

BTW, if you check back a few years ago (about 2) you'll find the same transit occurring then. Perhaps you can recall what transpired for you at that time and can apply lessons learned then to this one.

    Take care!

      Thanks Eliza!

I wanted to learn more about 12th house mars natives too and am aware that it's not the same as having your 12th house transitted. You're quite right about seeing motivations, not only for anger. But for almost everything. I find myself digging up past memories even more than usual and going through them rather ruthlessly - which is good since it's uncomfortable but honest.

The two sign error applies to houses but from a different perspective. However it may be take a look at the close stars, e.g. Algol can not be close but Spica can, and check the constellation. mars is most powerful when retrograde and in aspect. Jupiter opposing||:|:: mars is the most destructive aspect of all. There are reasons from Tree of Life to I Ching to Tarot to whateveryounameit. It is like paving the path to hell with good intentions. The house problem can be interesting such in the case of Eris when it is on the nadir. Which house does it pertain when 90 degrees square to the ecliptic? It has been solved alright but one must think of such things. Besides, when is Mars in 12th? That depends on the ascendant. Where is the ascendant. At east. Where is the east? Obviously not where the sun rises, and so on. Mars is 30 degrees above the ascendant horizon, virtual, then in the 12th house. It has positive latitude, if not, it is in the 1st house. This is a curious yet standard bug with house systems. Myself I don't freak even at Saturn Pluto issues, directions, so Mars in 12th would barely touch the surface, but your own fears as based on incorrect calculation (that is cherished as standard) can cause problems. Therefore *GOD* has forbidden Chaldean astrology. Savvy? lulu.com/astrology

Twelfth house Mars may signify unexpressed or difficulty expressing emotions such as anger and passion. Perhaps it is time for the native to realise and deal with unresolved anger issues that have been sitting in the psyche in the formative years.

I'm having some transits in the 12th too (Sun and Venus). They are opposite my natal Neptune (in the 6th). Mercury was there too, but it's retrograde right now. This year my Neptune has been taking a square beating fom Uranus transiting the 9th too. My studies have been badly affected.

The Passive Aggressiveness was key in this transit. Even when I was doing nothing to provoke such behavior, at least I don't think or was aware of it, people were just coming at me from all angles with PAB even my boyfriend, which made me just retreat and plot of ways to get back at him. So mean, that was a tough transit. Thank Goddess that's over.

Funny thing Shay, I noticed I was doing all the passive aggressive behaviours because of all the latent anger stored up inside.

        step one: plot and react
        step two: repeat step one

I was very aware of what i was doing so it became easier to stop it though not successful always. But yeah, not so nice a time.

          Hey jacqueline
I do have passive aggressive behaviors from time to time and it really irks me because I would much rather just get it out, let it flow! Being a Virgo Rising, I do know that I tend to keep that crap in and not let others know that they have royally pissed me off. But I have gotten better at it at just letting others know in a way that they can't be mad at me for bringing something up. Lately, Even people driving on the road that I do not have any clue as to who they are were acting P. A. towards me. Argghh! And actually Mars is not out of Leo yet for me. Grrr, still have I think till the beginning of July, which by then it will be conjuncting Saturn really soon as I am still going through my Saturn Return, I am pretty sure that will be a rather colorful time as I can feel right now things are picking up heat, some in good ways and some not quite so good. We shall see!!!!
