Thursday, 2:11 pm EDT, we have a Mars/Saturn conjunction at 5 Virgo 26. I tend to feel these conjunctions when they occur every few years, because I have a natal Mars/Saturn square. But I think the people who will feel it most are those who have it in close conjunction, square or opposition to a natal planet.
John McCain should be one of the ones who should be feeling it. His Sun is 6 Virgo 02 in his 11th, ruling his 11th. One thought that comes to mind is that he may find this campaign taking its toll on his health.
Barak Obama may also notice it. He has natal Chiron in the 1st house, 5 Pisces 19, so Mars/Saturn will be most noticable in his 7th house (opponents?). (He also has his Pluto 6 Virgo 59 conjunct a Venus/Neptune midpoint 5 Virgo 12, squaring the Mars/Ascendant midpoint 5 Sag 19.) Perhaps it will manifest as issues arising showing even more drastically how different the candidates' stands are on various issues.
Incidentally, Chiron at that moment will be 20 Aquarius 05, thus sesquiquadrate the conjunction. Maybe the issue that will be most highlighted will be healthcare?

This means they are both homeless planets, wandering around with less ability to act on their own. Your individual Mercury may shed some light on how these two planets behave in your chart, since Mercury is in dignity in Virgo. So they are sort of in Mercury's power. That is, unless they are transiting in one of their own houses - like if Saturn is transiting your 10th house.

Fri, July 11, 2008 - 1:13 PMMars conjunct Saturn in my 7th house of relationships on the year of my Saturn return. Saturn will hit my natal degree (9) some time before the end of the year. I have already felt the impact of Saturn in my close partnerships and relationships; am going through a divorce now, and my soon to be ex husband has just counterfiled his statement yesterday. However Mars brings a different energy.
I am working in public relations, so I got hit by a tonne of work that involved me pitching with other people or needing the expertise of other people in my projects apart from my own team; and all these projects are somewhat important to me on a personal level. All the projects had an element of longevity in them; likely these clients would be the sort that I would want to have for a very long time. It is also this time that I am given the opportunity to tender for a very large contract, and the tendering process is in partnership with another agency. Mars means hard work and sheer burst of will which I would need considering the work that have just been given to me. This conjunction trines my natal moon and sextiles my planets in the 10th house so my career is obviously getting a boost for this :-)
Also Mars and Saturn are also conjunct with my boyfriend's natal Pluto placement at 3 degrees Virgo opposing his natal sun on the 5th and 6th house cusp. His health is suffering (he has had some health scares of late) and there is a major transition occuring in his working environment.
