In what can only be described as a dazzling display of astrological precision as Mars was transiting the 24th degee of Virgo, having only days before emerged from its retrograde shadow, while Venus stations on the 7th degree of Gemini and preparing to go direct in a few days and Mercury sits in late Cancer - the precise location of Mars' deepest point of fall - late last Friday evening it was annouced that disgraced former assistant coach of the mighty Penn State Nittany Lions football team, Jerry Sandusky, was found guilty on 45 out of 48 counts of child sexual abuse, and faces more than 200 years in prison. It is very likely that he will die there.
And rightly so - for Sandusky's Solarscope (born Jan 26, 1944 in Washington PA, per Wikipedia; no birth time) shows that he is an incorrigible pedophile, and keeping him out on the streets is an invitation for him to offend, yet again.
Not only is Mars in Gemini on his birthdate - itself an eyebrow raising placement along astrosexual lines in a male's chart - but it also conjuncts Uranus, which is itself retrograde (and which also happens to be the ruler of Sandusky's Aquarian Sun AND Moon!). Uranus is already known for its unorthodox nature in general; it also being Rx just makes its potential for "bucking the system" (read: Saturn, ie, established societal norms, customs, rules and laws) all the moreso likely. We read in Astrology 101 class, that Mars is the planet most associated with our sexual desire; "lust" most appropriately describes Mars in this sense then. Note also that Mars in Gemini, is in mutual reception with Mercury in Capricorn - and how the latter is Peregrine (Tyl), in other words, unaspected. Mars would therefore be going, by way of the principle of mutual reception, to its exaltation - and - to it dominating the entire Solarscope in terms of its symbolism. An exalted Mars running wild, in association with Mercury, ie, originally "starting out" in Gemini? Yea, "pedophile" sounds about right...moreover, note that per his Solarscope (setting it for 6AM EST on his birthdate), Mecury/Mars in Capricorn would be in the Solar 12th house of private actions and "self undoing". I've found numerous times, that the 12th house often shows prominently in the charts of those who are "sex addicts" of one type or another, especially of said sexual acts are in one way or another out of step with what the larger society considers legit.
For example, Tiger Woods' Capricorn Sun rules his 12th house, and is in mutual reception with Saturn in Leo Rx, which rules his 5th house (sexual identity); note how the Sun also squares the Jupiter-Pluto axis in Woods' chart, as well as it sextile Uranus in Scorpio in the 2nd house (personal values and self worth). Woods' sexual reality was way out of step with the "cleancut" squeaky clean image he had crafted for himself in the virtually all-White world of professional golf. Another example is the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, whose Mars in Taurus was placed in the 12th house, who in turn is square Jackson's Asc and 5th house ruling Mercury, who is also retrograde(!) in the 4th. To this day, speculation and rumor abounds as to his true sexual orientation, and as well, as to whether he was a pedophile or not (note the Sign Virgo on the cusp of Jackson's 5th house; more on the sexual significance of Virgo/Gemini/Mercury below in the article). Then, there's the example of The Vatican, seat of the Roman Catholic Church and of course, the Pope: note the extreme emphasis of the Sign Gemini, featuring a New Moon there along with the *Virgo* Asc ruling Mercury, *retrograde*. There are many, many other examples.
In Sandusky's case however, we can also note that, at insofar as his Solarscope is concerned, the presence of Mercury/Mars in Capricorn running wild, in the Solar 12th house, also points very strongly to his ultimate downfall, as the 12th house represents prison.
Additionally, we note that on Sandusky's birthdate, Mars was in declinational aspect to Pluto; and, when we check his Midpoints on the date he was born, we see that he has the picture Mars=Neptune/Pluto: "Great personal magnetism to set things right or rejection of actions because of misunderstanding" (Tyl, Synthesis & Counseling in Astrology, page 851). Without a doubt, Sandusky's "great personal magnetism" was seen in his ability to get high ranking people as well as single mothers to buy into his ruse of a foundation that would ostensibly help wayward young boys; note how both Mars and Neptune form an Air Grand Trine with Sandusky's Aquarian Sun (Sun=Mars/Neptune - more personal magnetism and charm). But it was the Pluto opposition in Leo to Sandusky's Sun - his "darkside nature" if you will - that did the trick here. All three of these planets in this midpoint picture - Mars, Neptune and Pluto - conspire to create a very, very ill man.
So, let's sum up:
Mars, denoting one's sexual lusts/drive, in Gemini
Mars in conjunction with Uranus, *retrograde* and also in Gemini
Mars in Gemini in mutual reception with Mercury in Capricorn - the latter of which is unaspected
Mars in declinational aspect with Pluto, producing an enormously powerful Male Sexual Aspect
And finally, we have the midpoint picture Mars=Neptune/Pluto
And, we can note, that in Sandusky's Solarscope, SA Sun=Saturn/Pluto exact next month (Jul), while the Big Uranus-Pluto square bears down on his all-important Mercury/Mars in Capricorn, in the Solar 12th house, just as the verdict is coming down.

Going back to my eariler reference to the background transits that were taking place last Fri evening as news of the verdict came down, we have to make note of the fact that it has been quite some time since both Venus and Mars went retrograde in the same calendar year, and, that they both did so in the Signs owned by Mercury - Gemini and/or Virgo. Both of these Signs are associated with young people; literally in the case of Gemini, as its symbol is that of the young fraternal twins; and in the case of Virgo, it is the young girl who has not yet been deflowered. Sexual Planets here - Venus, Mars or Pluto - tenating these Signs, *can* suggest themes of "youth" playing a role. Recall R&B singer R. Kelly's sextape scandal some years back, along with his "involvement", ahem, with the late singer Aaliyah - Kelly has the Moon most likely in conjunction with Pluto, in Virgo.
Additionally, Mercury's involvement with the 5th house in the horoscope, can suggest similar themes; and as well, we note that the ancients regarded Mercury's involvement with the 5th as a "kinky" one, ie, a sexual involvement that was considered outside of the boundaries of polite societal conventions...especially those involving children. So, the troika of Mercury, Venus and Mars taking place, as Sandusky faces the music, is not just important for him personally, but for us all since, in his case, we know for a fact that entire institutions - like Penn State and many, many people in high society - covered up for him (read: Neptune). It all brings up some very uncomfortable questions for us to grapple with; which brings me to the following chart, that of the United States of America:
Note that the USA also has Mars in Gemini(!), and like Sandusky, its also in aspect to Neptune - this time, a square to it in the 9th house. We Americans pride ourselves on our lofty ideals of humanitarianism, democracy, rule of law and egalitarianism, when in truth, and especially when it comes to children, nothing could be further from the truth. Indeed, the truth is, that children historically throughout the world were seen in utilitarian terms, there to serve our interests, whatever they may have been at the time - from working our fields and in our factories, to dying in our wars (here in my hometome of Philly, the Thomas Edison highschool has the dubious distinction of having one of the highest fatality rates, nationwide, of students/graduates going to their deaths in the Vietnam War), to serving our sexual interests - need I remind anyone here, that ancient Rome and Greece had long traditions of "man-boy love"?-and more. In our time, the mockery we make out of our own vaunted ideals along these lines boggles the mind - the way in which we go about "reproductive rights" (read: "my body, my choice", ie, "what's convenient for me") immediately comes to mind, to say nothing of things like the Jon Benet Ramseys of the world, or the fact that our American cities are rife with the kinds of daily bloodletting that would make Kinshasha or Mogadishu or Kandahar or Baghdad look tame by comparison, as scores of young (in this case Black and Hispanic) boys kill or otherwise maim each other at a frightening pace. And that's not even including the pedophilia and underage sexual abuse of both boys and girls in our society. All of this delusion, is seen in the USA's chart, in the Mars ruling the 5th house, square Neptune in the 9th. And now, with Neptune in the beginning degrees of Pisces as Sandusky faces his fate, we Americans have the time to contemplate all of these facts, before Neptune squares the USA Mars and reaches its opposition to the USA Neptune, which occurs in the years 2020-2022. As I always say, Neptune reveals as much as it conceals, and this could be a time when we Americans finally come to grips with this and many other "pretty lies" we have been deluding ourselves with; for, as much as what Sandusky has done is reprehensible, it is neither new nor uncommon; it has been thus throughout human history. And if we are to be truly serious about tamping down on such things, the first important step is to stop lying to ourselves about our motivations. If we truly do value "what's in the best interests for the child" then we need to start acting like it.
Otherwise, we aren't fooling anyone but ourselves - and least of all, the kids, who see through our BS with x-ray vision...

Seems like a heavy conclusion to draw from ANY chart, let alone one lacking birth time. Have you seen if similar conclusions can be drawn from a number of Catholic prelates in the news for comparable acts? Though they may not relate as well to the US chart, and not support your condemnation thereof which appears to be the primary charge you're actually making.
The USA has many problems. We're working on it.

A chart helps me understand who I'm speaking with, their thought process etc. (I'm not asking for anything I don't give in return). A sag sun, with a cap Asc. and a Taurean moon (with pluto and Uranus conj in Virgo,). A lot of earth with passion, so yes, I can see how deeply insulted you'd be by Sandusky's actions (anyone would, but air would not be so quick to pass judgement, or assume that one religion/culture is root cause). Do you have any air in your chart, by chance? I'm going to take a leap here and guess your mercury is also in sag (and also conjunct the sun). Bet your venus is in air tho'?

Seriously, folks; there's a question about which chart to use as a "USA Chart".
The Declaration of Independence date is shaky because it was made by a group of independent colonies - no country was created on that date. Each colony had it's own government. Perhaps one could say it was the first step, but there was at the time no intention to form a new country, and no necessity to so do.
The date for the Ratification of the Articles of Confederation on March 1, 1781 might be used, but again, no true centralized government was formed, and the colonies - "States" - retained a great degree of independence. Regardless, there was a (sort of) new country established.
The Signing of the Constitution (September 17, 1787) seems to be a better choice, as the final form of a new government was established. However, the Constitution had to be ratified by the "States", which took some time;so the Constitution wasn't declared effective until March 4, 1789.
Then, there's the question of time of day, with differing degrees of accuracy.

No, my Venus is rising in Capricorn, squared by Saturn. :) And while Pluto and Uranus are in the 8th house, they aren't in the same Sign; Pluto is in Virgo (and trine my Venus, by the way), while Uranus is in Libra, conjunct Jupiter, which is also in the 8th.
I have more planets in Air than any other Sign: Mars, and the aforementioned Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, all in Libra.
And yes, my Mercury, traveling a bit above average speed on the day I was born, is applying conjunct my Sun.

Note: IMO, the 4th of July chart is the USA chart from that date until the signing of the Constitution on September 17, 1787. The Constitution chart replaced the 4th. chart. The nature of the former that of a revolutionary group at war, the latter that of a country looking toward it's future. The USA is screwed up, but it's not in it's nature as described using the 4th of July chart. WE, the citizenry have done it to ourselves and we . . . . .
